Bonnie and Tyler for sure. Bonnie has improved this last season, but it doesn't make up for all the MEH stories and non likeable personality. Not to mention all the times she dragged people with her witch-drama, family drama and stuff.
Enzo can't stand him I don't even know why he there to what get Stefan to turn into a monster love strong women but Davina Claire getting a bit tired of her vendetta against Klaus let it go already The writers of TVD please stop making Bonnie sacrifical girl on the show seriously about to write this show off

Caroline/ her hypocrisy was enough to get me to dislike her but sleeping with Klaus and shrugging off Ty about it afterward put her firmly into my hate list.

While there are many characters in TVDverse that irritate the hell out of me from time-to-time, Enzo, Finn, and Ester are the worst of the bunch. I loathe all three of them.
People are voting according to their shippers preferences.This fandom is so predictable. Caroline is the worst because she is a Mary Sue and a huge hypocrite.
The one character that I still find NOT annoying is Caroline Forbes when it's not all about Steroline or Carenzo or Whoeverline... so I'm pretty sure it won't last for long! On this list the worst characters for me are Elena, Jeremy, Tyler.
Definitely Caroline Forbes and Hayley. I can´t stand Caroline, even though sometimes she is very right and I side with her. And Hayley just doesn´t have what she needs to be a leader of anything, she´d be better if she was a secondary character. Honorable mentions: Matt and Jeremy from TVD, don´t think they are bad characters but they are pretty much useless almost all the time.
generally speaking the longer a character survives on this show the worse they become, just give them time and they'll find a way to ruin any character.

In season two, Tyler sold Caroline out to some werewolves who then proceeded to violently torture her (one of them was Stephen Amell!) I find it weird that you hate Caroline for screwing a murderer but yet you don't hate Tyler for having her tortured.
It wasn't him true he stood by because he was scared and he only had just made his entrance into the supernatural world. I can't blame him for that. He made up for it tho and grew into an amazing character.
I find it hilarious that the people who have been abused the most are on top while their abusers are in the save middle. There wouldn't be a show without Elena. And people just hate jyler because they are still holding grudges for shipping reasons. Bamon and Klaroline shippers.
Hayley for me is the worst by far and I'm surprised more people aren't voting for her. Elena at least used to be okay early on in the series, she only became a bad character when they vamped her (for me).
Tyler, Matt & Jeremy are all pretty useless characters, but I don't think they're inherently bad characters - they just don't use them properly and write much of anything for them.
TO I'm only on episode 2x02, so I may yet change my mind, but Hayley's face annoys me. It must be the acting.
TVD Enzo. Just plain unnecessary. The cast is big enough as it is without him stealing screentime. Plus, I have no interest in him and he's annoying.
Damon: If such a large chunk of the fandom didn't love him, if he wasn't so overrated and if the show handled all the awful things he's done in a realistic manner (as in properly acknowledge it and NOT have every char kiss his feet and forgive him in the blink of an eye), I would probably not have been so hard on him. Alas.
(Bonnie I never disliked, but I was never interested in her either. Like most people, this season she has grown on me.)
Voted Klaus, because he's the only character I truly detest. He's boring and repetitive, constantly about the same thing. Whoo I'm evil VENGEANCEEE. Well boo hoo, princess, your parents fucked over each of your siblings, and if it weren't for you, they'd be pretty content. Geez. Elena is the second character that I dislike, but at least she used to be cool in the earlier seasons; she's still cool sometimes, when removed from Damon and any romance plots.

true. but when i voted in the poll, i was referring to "morally" worse characters so i went with klaus, mikael, and enzo. i would have went with klaus mikael and katherine pierce in terms of morally bankrupt characters, but as characters themselves they are all awesome. Especially katherine. she was always my favorite.
Hayley, Cami,Elena.Trophy women.Their only purpose is look pretty for catch male gaze.Saying some badass wanna be line "I'm a vampire/ werewolf queen " doesn't make them strong girls.Cami is so boring,who care about her?
LOL Exactly!!! Well I just find her character so funny sometimes or more touching and human being when she's acting as a friend and as a daughter... I know I know she's a blond and teen vampire girl whose only purpose is to be love interest! :p
Enzo has always been on my nerves since the start - especially now with his vendetta against Stefan. Pffft I think he's just jealous Caroline's not interested in him.
And also Elena since she became a vampire. Tyler and Jeremy depends on the plot. Sometimes I love them, sometimes I don't. Both have been written kinda sucky lately.
Bonnie has grown a lot on me over the years. I get people liking her now. She's a really great character lately.
Caroline I like but sometimes I don't agree with her.
I think Hayley's okay, but from reading reviews of episodes on here I'm not surprise she's high on the list.
Camille I actually like quite a bit. I don't really get the hate for her character.
I like all the Original siblings fine except Finn - though in the past I didn't like Klaus very much either that changed with The Originals. He benefitted most from moving to a new show. Ester I don't like at all. Mikael has his moments villain wise.
For me the three worst character are : 1) Caroline : since season 4 , i can't stand her . Her judgments , her hypocrisy , her foolish ways ... She just makes me sick today ! 2) Enzo : he's becoming uninteresting , his scenes with caroline was pretty cute but now he's just being a asholle for no good reasons and have no pertinence to the story ! 3) Elena : She is self-centered , selfish , insensitive to people feelings , not tactful & really annoying !
And the three best character are :
1) Klaus : His character always stayed great since i discovered him . He evolved so much but always stay the real king of all vampire ! He rock ! 2) Elijah : He is loyal , wise but deep inside so much complex. I love every side of him and love his relationship with his siblings. 3) Bonnie Benett , the survivor : She was a scared girl at first who became a powerful witch . She's not only evolved in her powers but also grew as a person. She's the most mature , wise , honest , stronger , tolerant and beautiful person on the TVD. Love her !

Later Tyler became indifferent to me and I started to hate Matt because of 'destroy Rebekah mission', but in season 5 (which was my last one) when they showed their friendship I kind of started to like them.

Damon,Matt,Tyler,Klaus and if it wouldn't have died there would be Jesse on that list and pretty soon it's stefan's turn !!! Give it up for Caroline , the girl who have her ass on fire !!!

In contrary Elena, even if i also don't like her for other reasons , or Cami doesn't need that to be confident.
