  2. None at all. Spinoffs show a lack of originality and do an injustice to the original series creators who bothered to try something new and made it work. I'm sure crowdsourcing ideas for a new series would go down very well with viewers instead of milking the same cow.

  3. I'd like to see them try another OuaT spin-off but this time using characters that they have already introduced like the Frozen characters or a Neverland prequel.

Wonderlands problem (apart from the timeslot) was that it called itself a spin-off but we never knew any of the main characters before the show started. I guarantee that if they had introduced Will during season 2 (instead of now) of OuaT there would have been a lot more interest.

  5. I dunno, I personally found NCIS: Los Angeles to be better than the original NCIS. Although I do agree that none of the above shows could have a good spin off.

  6. None of these shows need a spin-off TBH.So,none IMO.

  8. you want to see that monstrous Pan again? and i loved Once Upon in Wonderland but yeah i get what you mean, it's not a spin-off unless someone from the parent series is on it

  9. I was kidding. I hate Spin offs :D

  10. 4 seasons doesn't mean veteran!
Grey's got a spin off, ans it was better than the original show while it was on air simutaneously.
Once could do a Frozenbspin off they have some audience there and could benefit doing it. Just need to find a story to incorporate.

  11. OUAT would be the only one on this list, especially with such a large cast. But I'm not sure what I'd want to see in a spin-off.. I'm not a big fan of spin-offs. The only recent spin-off that remotely interests me is the "better call Saul" spinoff for Breaking Bad, but the jury is still out on whether that will be good or not.

  12. oh ok LOL cause he's Ems' bestie

  13. I really don't like spin offs, never good as the originals

  14. Toss up for me...

From the list, the most obvious is Once Upon A Time. I've heard rumors of a possible 'Frozen' spinoff, which wouldn't be the worst idea. Given the popularity of Frozen, I'd wager it would last longer than the Wonderland spinoff did.

I'd also like to see more 'Marvel' shows. I know Agent Carter will air as a "mini series" type deal in the interrim leading upto the 2nd half of Agents of Shield. But I'd love to see both shows, as full-length seasons. Then again, Marvel's got a ton of new stuff coming via Netflix in 2015/2016.

  15. OUAT. I still want a Frozen spin-off!

  16. I'm quite the opposite in regards to NCIS:LA versus NCIS. I'm on #TeamGibbs, all the way. That being said, I'm a big fan of all incarnations of NCIS (including newcomer NCIS: New Orleans).

What bothers me most about NCIS:LA, is this "shoot to kill" mentality of the characters. In virtually every episode, characters end up shooting the suspects, rather than "disabling" them, to get more information. Both NCIS and NCIS: New Orleans does better in this regard. LA is definitely more Action, while NCIS/NCIS: New Orleans are more procedural. Both have their merits.

  17. not sure, if would work, perhaps for 1-2seasons... sorry, was the same with OUAT in Wonderland... I tried it really to watch, but was too boring for me (sorry to say) and this will be the same for Frozen, although I love Frozen as the animated movie and now in S4.
Please, creators! take care to OUAT so we can have the pleasure to see more then S4, 5 and more

  18. Too bad it can only be one. I would love another OUAT too. However, Castle would be the optimum show since it has gotten long in the tooth.

  19. Revenge if its based on season 1 level of quality.

  20. "Once Upon a Time in Oz" - I love the Wicked Witch - or one of the lead ladies from "Desperate Housewives"

  21. There's so much material in the Marvel canon that they can come up with tons of ideas where the television world can really work like the comic books. Netflix gives them more freedom but if Agent Carter does well can see more stuff because it's one big corporate family. Especially after ABC learned the hard way that they need to let Marvel to their thing.

  22. Once Upon a Time in Arendelle and a prequeal of Revenge centering on Takeda

  23. Lost - I want a spinoff (read: miniseries) that explores the ancient Egyptians.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I would love to see a spin-off of Scandal, but I doubt that because Shonda already has her hands full.

  25. ABC (and Marvel) are both owned by Disney. Don't see why there would be a problem for Marvel to "do their thing" on ABC, unless it's Disney execs interfering.

  26. I kind of want to see an OUAT AHS-type spin-off with different story each season.

    ReplyDelete
  27. that's what Once Upon in Wonderland was supposed to be, the characters were supposed to have a season with a beginning, middle and end and then the next season they would go to another land with the same characters and same format with a beginning, middle and end each season but it never became so they made it into a miniseries

    ReplyDelete
  28. You switched it. It's the same land with different characters.

  29. I stopped watching Castle when it became all about shipping so while I don't miss the show, I do miss Ryan and Esposito. I would lvoe a spin-off with them. Other than that:

    1. Wonderland spinoff without Alice or Cyrus. I only want snarky fun characters like Will and the Red Queen. Anyone tripping on about true love must be exiled to OUaT.

    2. Trophy Wife - Diane and Jackie go into business with each other.

Not spin-offs but reboots of classic shows:

    1. Hart to Hart, which was a whole lot of fun
    2. Welcome Back, Kotter - a comedy about school issues in an urban setting. Think of all the fodder Common Core and excessive testing could provide.
    3. The Wonder Years - ah, I miss this show.

    ReplyDelete
  30. nope i meant different lands, same characters i didn't mess up

    ReplyDelete
  31. The writers have said it will be the same land with different characters each season with beginning, middle, and end. That's why the show is called "Once Upon A Time in Wonderland" It was meant to always be set in Wonderland.

  32. I liked Wonderland despite its flaws and I still think OUAT is the TV brand out there with the most franchise potential so I would like them to try again, although the ratings for Wonderland certainly don't help my case. But the possibilities are endless and I think not having to connect everything to the main characters of OUAT would open new storylines quite nicely

Other than that, I don't really see much potential surrounding Revenge since it's all about Emily or about Scandal since it's all about Olivia and the first family. Grey's Anatomy already had an amazing spin off in the form of Private Practice so I am not sure what would they spin off at this point. Castle is entirely about Castle and Becket so that's also a no. Although not included, Shield always has endless spin off possibilities due to the universe it is inserted, so I would also be up for those.

As for the comedies, Modern Family is currently the only one I watch and I wouldn't mind something like an Alex in college spin off or something if it's the same type of humor but the truth is I would miss her too much on the main show.

    So short answer: OUAT

    ReplyDelete
  33. I also adored the Wicked Witch!

    ReplyDelete
  34. I've never seen Castle or The Middle, but from those shows OUAT has the best potential for spin-offs. If done right, of course. Wonderland was a disaster. To be honest though, I rarely enjoy spin-offs. That being said, Grey's Anatomy has the best chance of a successful spin-off. The early seasons of Private Practice were brilliant, and if done right another spin-off could be brilliant. Besides, the current regular cast on Grey's is too large to give everyone the focus they deserve, so transferring one into their own show might help both Grey's and the spin-off. Although I'm not sure which character would work in their own show.

    ReplyDelete
  35. nope i distinctly remember them saying it would've been same characters different lands, that's why in the pilot they mentioned bunch of lands

    ReplyDelete
  36. why do you think Once Upon a Time in Wonderland didn't work when it was a great show was it the night with its competition that night or something else?

    ReplyDelete
  37. Either of these would be good-I lved DH and Zelena on Once

    ReplyDelete
  38. I do too

    ReplyDelete
  39. The Middle spin-off about Alex in college.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I totally would go for another OUAT spin off, especially if it was a Frozen spin off that incorporated other Winter-ish fairy tales, stories, and/or myths like Heidi Girl of the Alps, The Ice Maiden, Father Frost, or even things relating to St. Nicholas/Santa Clause. (and if you want to add Will's sister Penelope into the mix, I would be grateful)
