What happened to her being s graduate student? 1 line about going to school or a course or something. At the moment she just seems like the manager of a coffee shop which seems fine but that was not the character I
What happened to Iris being s graduate student? There was 1 line about taking journalism as an elective and that was episodes ago. At the moment she just seems like she works crappy shifts at a coffee shop (she is always locking up late at night), which is fine but that was not the Psychology post-graduate student I was expecting before this show started. All I know about this character is that she has a boyfriend, works at a coffee shop and writes a blog. Does anyone know what happened to the actress who almost got the role of Iris? I can't remember her name but she was not the CW pre-rec. size zero. I was really interested if they would have seriously considered her for the female love interest for a CW show.
Yep fusing with another person totally overplayed. JK jk, yeah fiancee back from the dead is overplayed, but it works for me given their comic book characters and helps flesh Caitlin outs more.
I was looking forward to Caitlin getting her own story and I hope it will give her nice development but I won't completely judge it before watching the whole ep and see the direction where they are heading.
omg i can't stop watching this. iris' reaction to barry's response is killing me. i love the way candace is playing it. is it relief? is it disappointment? this is killing me!! god when she figures out he's the flash that is gonna rock her world.
and reverse flash!! i can't wait to see barry's reaction to finding out joe has had some interaction with the man who killed his mother.
Yup - romantic, physical and personal trauma seem to abound for both of them. Although, given spoilers, I have to give the edge to Oliver. If nothing else, at least Barry doesn't have to scale a mountain to get to the thing that wants to kill him. The thing that wants to kill him is coming right to him in his own city, where he can go straight to his own comfy bed after their confrontation. That's very nice of his villain. Oliver's villain is just not that considerate.
I think the point they are trying to make is we should see more of that storyline. I'm over her love life and who wants to be with her. Shoe me your journalism story and not her writing a blog which was just more Barry/iris pandering
If they focus too much on her school storyline she'll face the same problem that laurel did for so long where she's alienated from the rest of the characters and the main storyline.
Also you don't think her creating a blog and publishing stories on the flash (and being the first person to do it) is related to her journalism story? It's a stepping stone, she wasn't even all that interested in journalism in the beginning of the show so it's gonna take time.
And not really seeing how it's pandering but ok...
I realise this, but the way they are portraying her at the moment is as just a barista. I don't expect them to show her at Central City University as the show is not about her but I am disappointed that this element of her character has been forgotten.
Yes, which just makes it worse for Oliver, because Barry doesn't even need his villain to be local; it makes virtually no difference to him. And yet he's the one with the conveniently located bad guy while poor, powerless Oliver has to go climb freaking Everest just to get the dude who makes him fight shirtless in a blizzard. I think Central City just has a more considerate brand of nemesis than Starling.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
God i really hate Stein right now poor Ronnie
ReplyDeleteThe firestorm scene is awful. Not a fan of the dynamic and Robbie's performance.
ReplyDeleteIs Eddie inviting Iris to live with him? Nice move.
I'm sorry but any time I see Reverse Flash I keep think of that Dr. Dre song "Zoom."

ReplyDeleteReally? I actually liked it more than I expected.

Don't know. Maybe it will be better when I watch the episode as a whole, for now I'm not into it. Seems terribly overplayed.
ReplyDeleteShe still is at this point I believe. She's still a graduate student. It's pretty common for graduate students to have part-time jobs.
ReplyDeleteYep fusing with another person totally overplayed. JK jk, yeah fiancee back from the dead is overplayed, but it works for me given their comic book characters and helps flesh Caitlin outs more.
ReplyDeleteYeah might even be worse than Oliver's.
ReplyDeleteIt was like a minute long tops.
ReplyDeleteNah she's just doesn't know he's a superhero and is unaware of his feelings. She's not the audience dude.

Actually its not Iris's fault that Barry is pining for her and never worked up the nerve to tell her.
ReplyDeleteI know that's my point.
ReplyDeleteI wish, something in the next batch of episodes, Barry and Ollie exchange notes to see who had the worst Christmas.

ReplyDeleteAlthough it would've been easy for Barry to reach the top of a mountain, lol.

ReplyDeleteOMG!!! 19 minutes!!! i'm dying here!!
ReplyDeleteClimbing up a mountain to meet Ra's al Ghul IS a challenge, but Barry is encountering his mother's killer. That's a pretty hardcore situation.
ReplyDeleteIt hasn't. They're just not showing her on a college campus as a ta or in class.
ReplyDeleteThat yes good idea and I believe they will soon.
ReplyDeleteI believe in the later half she'll get more journalism stuff. Which I'd rather see then grad work.
