Thanks to Jess for the heads up.

  1. So Jaha is still alive by this episode. And wow, episode 14 already! After this they only have the two-part finale left to shoot. Fortunately we still have eight episodes to watch in the new year. And then a months-long hiatus, I'm already dreading it. Also, not knowing whether or not the show will be renewed will be painful, sigh.

  2. This has has a two-part finale, too?

  3. Why did I think it was a 22 episode season?

  4. Makes me wonder who the title refers to. The Grounders? I can't wait for more eps. Everyone is so worried about the show being canceled. I can't imagine they would cancel it when it's so good.

  5. Yep, Jason mentioned that in one of his tweets. He's writing part 2 aka the season finale.

  6. Not sure, maybe because a broadcast network second season renewal is usually for 22 episodes? Anyway, The 100 has 16.

  7. It's all about the ratings sadly if it was just about the shows quality then it would denfinetly get renewed!

  10. Did anyone notice that metal thingy aroung their wrist which they all took off/forced to take off in the 1st half of season 1!Is that random or is it significant & comes into play some way!Maybe something to signal The city of lights?

  11. It was important during the first episodes of season 1 because it transmitted info on the health of the 100 and would allow the people on the Ark to know if there was still radiation on the ground. There was nothing more to them.

  12. Ya,i remember now.It seems so long ago!

  13. I'm sure I read somewhere that it was 22. Oh well.

  14. Jason wanted shorter seasons so the compromise was that both parties will settle with 16 episodes for this season.

  15. There's an old saying, which applies particularly in wartime, goes something like "The truth is so precious it must be surrounded by a bodyguard of lies"

  16. Finally got my hands on the season 1 Blu-ray, watched the first three episodes this afternoon. This show is even better than I expected, long may it air.

  17. I love to find meaning in titles and this one I believe comes from the 1975 book “Bodyguard of Lies” written by Anthony Cave Brown. The book describes how the Allies in World War II used intelligence, codes, deceit and lies to pull of D-day and start the beginning of the downfall of Hitler’s reign.

Fittingly, the books first chapter describes Dudley Clarke’s (notice the parallel?) work with signal intelligence. The reason why D-day was so successful was because of extensive deception strategies involving the British, American, and to some degree even Gestapo military and civilians as to when, where, and how, the Allies were to invade Europe to attack Hitler’s armies. Bodyguard of Lies refers to the many double agents that were able to pull off this deceit and strategy.

  18. Why would you say something like that?
