Stalker - Tell All - Review: "How long will Perry stay in jail?"

"Words like violence break the silence
Come crashing in into my little world
Painful to me, pierce right through me
Can't you understand, oh my little girl?

All I ever wanted, all I ever needed
Is here in my arms
Words are very unnecessary
They can only do harm"
- Enjoy The Silence - Depeche Mode

First of all, this review is terribly late and I am very sorry for that. Real life got in the way, I had been very busy and then there was Christmas, so there wasn't a lot of time left to write this review. Anyway, enough with the apologies. Here is my review for episode 11 of Stalker.

The case of the week involves Stella, the ex-wife of professional hockey player Tom, who is attacked in her house. She suspects it's Tom, because he has been very creepy since their divorce, but he has an alibi for last night. Later, Stella is again attacked, this time by the boyfriend of her former friend Cynthia. It turns out Stella is written a tell-all memoir which is about to be published, and she made a lot of people angry with that. Stella now has a lot of enemies, but the case takes a sudden turn when these enemies disappear one by one starting with Cynthia. Copies from the book were leaked by Stella's editor and the kidnapper abducts people in order of the book's chapters. However, the TAU then discovers that the attacker is kidnapping people in order of the original manuscript, which only a few people have. One of them is the ghost writer, who is found dead. A webcam recorded his killer: Tom. Tom has kidnapped all these people in order to win Stella back. He is in Stella's house and is ready to kill those he kidnaped, but the TAU intervene and arrest him.

Elsewhere, Janice and Beth discuss how to apprehend Perry. Janice goes to Perry's room, but finds an empty wall so there is no evidence against him. Janice then proceeds to other measures. She sees Perry in a parking garage and asks about his mother, who died when he was young. She taunts him to the point that he snaps and attacks her. A police car happens to drive by and Perry is arrested for assaulting a police officer.

Also, Jack comes across Ethan during his daily run and Ethan asks him a few questions. Jack says he shouldn't talk to strangers but Ethan tells him he's not a stranger. Later, Jack tells Amanda about this and she realizes he must have overheard he conversation with Trent the other day. Jack sees this as an opportunity and at the end of the episode Amanda allows him to see his son.

This episode was the last Stalker episode of 2014 and concluded various on-going storylines that we have seen in the past 11 episodes. First of all, Perry is now finally in jail. Of course the question remains how long he will stay there and whether or not they can gather evidence against him. If they can't, I reckon he will be out of jail before we know it. Since the press release of episode 12 reveals that Perry appears in the episode, I think we'll know soon enough.

I also like the fact that Jack got to spend time with Ethan. I know it doesn't undo his mistakes, but at least he is no longer the creepy stalker that he was in the beginning of the series. I wonder how things will move ahead and how Trent will react to this news. Anyway, this episode was a nice conclusion to the first half of Stalker's freshman season. I must say, though, that the case was not as strong as previous cases, but it was still an enjoyable episode for me.

What did you think of "Tel All"? What are your opinions on the case of the week? Are you relieved that Perry is in jail? How long do you think he will stay there? And how will Jack's story with Ethan change now that he spent time with his son? Sound off in the comments below.

Stalker returns with all-new episodes on January 14th.

  1. I felt like they wrapped up Perry's story too fast. Maybe he will make bail or be let out on some technicality.

  2. well he's back in the first episode when show comes back so we don't even get a break from him

  3. I think he will be out pretty soon. Or maybe he'll just taunt Beth from prison.

  4. I, for one, really need a break from him. I tuned in to watch a unit that solved stalker cases do their thing. Instead we get an ongoing story about the main star's stalker, and a new cop who stalks his ex. I'm losing interest.

They need to give us some new stalker cases. if it's back to Beth and Perry, I'm out. There are a lot better options out there.
