"Always something there to remind me" is the name of the song that is played at the end of the latest Stalker episode. This applies to both the stalker of the week and Beth's own stalking experience.
After Cory met Scott in a bar, she takes him to the place where he raped Meg and tells him she took her own life after the rape. As Cory goes for Scott's genitals, the TAU arrives just in time to stop her. However, because the statute of limitations expired on the rape, Scott, Henry and Sophia cannot be charged for the rape. Then it turns out Scott made a habit of attacking young girls, which seals his fate: he's done.
Also, after learning that Perry is her stalker, Beth calls Tracy and tells her the truth about 'Brody'. Tracy is clearly upset that she unknowingly helped him to get information on Beth. Beth instructs her to keep minimal contact and behave like nothing happened. Later, Perry visits Tracy at her job and asks why she hasn't called him. Tracy attempts to lie her way out, but it is clear Perry is on to her. Beth then has Tracy stay at her house with a security detail. At the end of the episode, Perry confronts Beth at her car. He talks about her past, about how painful it must have been for Michelle, and tells her that he needs help but his father thinks he's perfect. Beth orders Perry to leave, but Perry doesn't take the threat and asks if she's gonna hit him again. People are watching around, but Beth says they won't always be. After having an emotional breakdown, Beth finally confides in Janice and reveals everything.
This was yet another solid episode. It was refreshing to have a stalker that does not have any type of disorder, but is just determined to extract revenge. I also enjoyed that the case fell in a grey area, because the stalker was the victim and the victims were really guilty here. I do think the solution to the rape expiration was too simple: just make Scott a serial rapist. Had he only raped Meg, he would have simply walked.
Besides that, it was nice to see Maggie Q once again kick ass. It reminded of Nikita when Beth fought with Cory, who has learned karate. Also, Beth's side story moved along nicely, with her finally confiding in Janice and telling Tracy the truth. Considering that Beth has only known for a few weeks that she has a stalker, the story has been pretty fast-paced. I can't wait till she kicks Perry's ass again, he really needs to go sooner or later.
