I actually don't mind the show but seriously does Walter always have to be the damn hero and all intense about everything. I'm not going to lie I saw the promo for this after tonights episode and I was like of course Walter is the one who has to swim in the cave to save the kid. Not like we have firefighters or trained divers/coast guards for this kind of problem. Nope they need Walter for this and he's going to play the intense, serious reluctant hero role after he does. Can someone else in the group be the angst hero for one episode?
I've checked in and out of this show since it started but can anyone tell me what the point of the girl from American idol is on the show?? Walter is more than capable of expressing his and everyone else's feelings on a daily basis. She just kind of sits around and doesn't really contribute anything as far as I can see..but maybe I missed something!!
Yeah the whole premise of the show is to put these characters in uncomfortable/unfamiliar surroundings but its bordered on ridiculous a few times now. It just damages the credibility (or what little the show has) by doing this dumb hero crap.
Perhaps the episode order has been quietly upped to 24 episodes, just like most of the other CBS procedurals. Or they really are only airing 10 episodes next year.
She has a smart kid. Walter and team helps her connect to Ralph. For that she needs to be connected to grp. So she has the type of normal people translator. Emotional-common sense- Plus the main dude needs a girl to pine over. Cuz you gotta add that romantic interest. To make him seem or normal.
I really like Paige but the writer still aren't utilising her enough. She doesn't even have to be a genius to still have a pivotal role in the plots.I get she's the emotional glue etc bit they haven't even shown that enough recently I.e. they have Walters sister providing the emotional support for Sylvester. why not have Paige do that?
I completely agree with all of this. It's always Walter! One of my fave eps was the Las Vegas one, where Walter took a back seat and let the others shine. we need more of those!
Agreed. The Bosnia ep was ridiculous. I still love the show, but I worry that they will alienate less dedicated viewers with this kind of unrealistic writing.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
oh no
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure they don't believe in miracles, but ok..
ReplyDeleteGod that kid must be 8 or 9 geez they have to save him
ReplyDeleteScorpion will only have 10 eps for next year(?). That's weird..

ReplyDeleteIt was indeed upped - it was announced on spoilertv some time back :D
ReplyDeleteAgreed, they've *explained* why she's there but they've not *demonstrated* it. Very frustrating! They are definitely not using her enough.

ReplyDeleteActually that was just about a back-nine order, making the total number of episodes 22. I am wondering if it has 24.
ReplyDeletePeople it is inspired by the real live person Walter O'Brien - of course he is going to be the main guy, the hero.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait! This show keeps on getting better and better!
ReplyDeleteOh i seeeee. My misunderstanding. Mmm, i hope we are getting two extra!
ReplyDeleteI'm also hoping for 24 episodes. Only 10 new episodes in the new year is a bit odd.
ReplyDeleteI love Walter, personally. And I think Gabel is doing a great job with him. I'm glad we get another episode before the break!
