    Doesn't he mean his mess? David acts like an idiot with his "I'm taking charge of situation", when it was his choices that lead to this. I'm not saying that both Emily and Victoria aren't at fault, but still I found him quite annoying in this scene.

    And he should remember that they are not damsels in distress. And how will Emily protect Victoria when 1.) she has a broken arm 2.) she wants Victoria dead?

    He warned them. He told Emily to stay away from this. She didn't listen. Victoria is also the one to blame, why? Because she sent Kate after Emily, where ironically, Daniel paid the price.

    Agree, this is such a contrived ploy to milk the hostility between Emily and Victoria. Apart from the fact that Emily doesn't want to, she really is in no shape to protect her.

    I don't think he's actually sending Victoria in there to be protected, from the promo you can deduce he's still trying to kill Victoria, so maybe he wants Emily to kill her?
