Looks good I'm intrigued. I like that the lies Francis told finally coming back to hunt him. It will be nice to see them transitioning. but please writers let Claude go! Annoying little B!
Mary is not going to fall for Conde, I guarantee that. She still loves Francis no matter what he's done as he said about her in the first season. Also if Conde values his life and friendship with Francis, he won't try anything.
Is it a bad thing to want Francis' death at the end of this season/serie?Not that I don't like him or whatsoever,i just think it would be proper to follow history at this point of the show. Francis could get sick soon,Mary will probably stop being so cold and distant to him because she will be too worried for him. We will have Frary reunited(for good) with no more secrets,no more lies and most of all no more flirting with Condè! The could spend his last days happily together after all that happened... The proper ending of the show for me is with Mary leaving France after Francis dies to return to Scotland, but I wonder what the writers have in store for us,especially if this is the last season! :(
I agree, I have geard a lot of other peoplecsay this too. The rape made sense as to why it happened. But the issue is what happened after the rape. Francis finally told Maryvthe truth and even though we all thought he should have told Catherine and Mary in the first place and they would deal with it a lot faster. He was being a guy and a king and taking care of something he thought he should have taken care of and the whole reason he told Mary right then about the blackmailing is because she was blaming herself for the rape and now she is blaming him. That conversation could have gone differently along with who Mary decides to put blame on. I understand how people can push away from others and isolate themselves after something like being raped, but he is her husband and in season one we saw him kill for Mary and we know he would do it again if he needed to. I would rather see that dynamic again. They could have used the rape storyline differently. They have been pulled apart enough since they have gotten married.
You guys are both right. We didn't need to be in the writers meeting to see where this was heading. Even one of the new writers admitted that the rape story line was written to make for more problems for Mary and Francis relationship. While the Conde triangle has been hinted at for several episodes, the last episode, following the rape showed clearly where their heading. Mary blaming Francis, the wistful eyes, when Mary reads the love note, and then the suddenly happy and fun Mary with Conde, at what appears to be a party in the spoiler for next episode speaks volumes. What makes this whole Conde and Mary love fest worst is that so many of the other great cast characters, have been sidelined, when in the past they would be in the forefront of dealing with Mary and this crisis.
Exactly, there are so many other great characters. Why not focus on them and let Mary and Francis happy for one minute. Especially Bash and Kenna we have barely seen them together this season and the whole Claude thing is just weird and she really does whine a lot.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
raping mary to start a love triangle is the lowest of the low
ReplyDeleteAre you in the writers' room? Are you privy to the reason Mary was raped? No? Okay, shut up, then. Go cry on Tumblr.
ReplyDeleteTumblr is for people who whine, and twitter is for people who act like assholes on the internet to complete strangers.
ReplyDeleteGuess which one you should go to.

damn isn't it the truth... all she does is whine in every scene she's in...
