This table shows the early overnight ratings. These ratings are normally adjusted later in the day when all the ratings have been consolidated to take into account any local preemptions and/or overruns. You can find all the final adjusted numbers in our Ratings Database. (See the About section below for details about ratings)
Each day (except Sunday) during the main TV Season we post the TV Ratings for the previous nights primetime shows for the major broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, CW, FOX, NBC). Cable Network ratings will be added to the Ratings Database.
The first item that gets posted (normally around 2pm GMT) is the early overnight analysis based on the early household numbers (these are not the same as the Total Viewers and 18-49 Demo numbers that are posted later).
Next, if available, we will post the Top 25 Market 18-49 Ratings to give you a rough idea of the ratings to following.
Later on (normally between 4pm-5pm GMT) we post the official early overnight Total Viewers and 18-49 Demo numbers in the table above (We also where possible now post the 18-34 and 25-54 Demo Numbers).
Finally, later in the evening (10pm-11pm GMT) or the following day, the final adjusted ratings numbers are released, these are then posted in the Ratings Database. The Final Adjusted numbers are what we use for all our Renew/Cancellation Tables, Full Season Tables, Ratings Scorecards etc (see below). Friday's Final Adjusted Ratings are normally available on the following Monday.
If you’re interested in Ratings/Renewals/Cancellations then we have a number of resources here at SpoilerTV that we recommend you check out.
I'm surprised how old the "Murray Christmas" special skewed.
ReplyDeleteIt's low ratings are no surprise. NBC barely promoted it. All of their promotion pf late went into Peter Pan.
NOO Cristela :(
ReplyDeleteCristela is not getting a second season IMO
ReplyDeleteGrimm is having a rough season ( I think it will get a final season order)
Cristela tying what The Neighbors did last year, yet it won't receive an ounce of criticism for its ratings performance. The Neighbors was slaughtered the entire season for how it was doing behind Last Man Standing, so as a multi-cam compatible with its lead-in and something specifically targeting an underserved audience demographic, Cristela should be doing much better than it is.
ReplyDeleteThe only reason Grimm went down that much was because of College Football and a weak lead in other than Dateline. Syndication will help it next season. It's nowhere near having a final season.
ReplyDeleteNobody had a particularly good night last night. I suppose Top Model did well enough and Shark Tank, LMS and 20/20 did okay but everyone else from the entertainment crowd was meh. Maybe it's the effect of there being a fifth network on last night for a change (FOX)
ReplyDeleteIs that really bad for Grimm? :(
ReplyDeleteI guess I will take an enjoy it for a season then. Personally, I am not too bothered about comedies or procedurals being cancelled because they pretty much wrapped up the plot in every single episode (so pretty much any episode can be a series finale). Even Enlisted ended with a great series finale (despite it being unplanned). I do hate it when serialized dramas get cancelled, because it will feel extremely incomplete without any resolution.
ReplyDeleteIt's a series low, but Grimm will bounce back after Christmas (it always does).
ReplyDeleteUh oh, Constantine dropped to 0.8. It seems Grimm is way down as well, but I trust Grimm to get another season, it's Constantine I'm worried about.
ReplyDeleteLast Man Standing held up well. Really under-appreciated comedy. Deserves higher ratings and more acclaim. Its funny, relys on a lot of humor typically found in comedies, takes relevant topics and deals with them in a serious but funny way. Hope ABC doesn't cancel it. Deserves another season.
ReplyDeleteNooo Grimm :)
ReplyDeleteTrophy Wife didn't. In fact, it's finale opened doors for future plots instead of wrapping up precious ones
ReplyDeleteConstantine is completely dead!
ReplyDeleteGrimm was pushed back to 1 am here for a city holiday lights special. CBS was blacked out in 2MM Dish homes, but now is back - you knew it would be for college football conference title games and NFL tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteGrimm has been more steady the past couple of seasons, but it looks like it has taken a hit so far *
ReplyDelete(is this season bad or something?)
Both Constantine and Cristelia are done
ReplyDeleteNick losing his powers wasn't accepted well.
ReplyDeleteThat's awful then. I guess it's one of those more serialized comedies then, like How I Met Your Mother, The Big Bang Theory and Veep.
ReplyDeleteNot really actually, but the character development got so good by the end and all the best episodes were towards the end. One of the last scenes included the husband and wife, Pete and Kate, talking about how Pete's job as a lawyer was hurting his health too much, and suggested he quit, which he agreed with. They opened doors for him to switch jobs. The ending scene was awesome though, although there was still much to be explored.
ReplyDeleteC'mon, Hellblazers! We got to do better than that
ReplyDeleteNow I see!
ReplyDeletePeter Pan.... THat and Sound of Music are no more a waste of network money as them adapt Australian born shows like Kath and Kim
ReplyDeleteYou know, a fifth and final season wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing either, especially when I've only really heard comments up to a fifth season, such as how they keys' map storyline will finally conclude will what will likely be an very epic 100 episode.
ReplyDeleteYou know, even while the Constantine ratings look grimm(no pun intended), I still wonder if NBC will be alright doing 13-episode seasons with the series.
ReplyDeleteThey ought to since they're fine with Hannibal's episode order count of 13
ReplyDeleteAnd Constantine's ratings have relatively been better than Hannibal's first season.
