I felt so sorry for Elsa, she so badly wanted to save her sister. Her love is so amazing and I love the way her powers are animjated on screen, it's very awesome!
That hat is so beautifully animated. I admire Belle wanting to help the Town. It was really selfish of Rumple to want to escape the town with Henry and Belle. Great to see Blue Fairy/ Mother Superior back.
A wishing star can only be used by those with a pure heart, this reminds me of Pinochio "When you wish upon a star...." :)
30 years Anna and Kristoff were Frozen, wow, didn't expect it to be that long.
Anna telling Hans that she loves him and doesn't want to die was heartbreaking, trapped in that trunk with no hope of escaping :(
Elsa has a true heart :) She wished and her sister and Kristoff came back. That scene on the beach was so beautiful. Their sisterly love is so heartwarming :)
Damn, Hook got the Blue Fairy in the hat, hope he gets his heart back soon.
Rumple does love Belle, seeing him want to protect her is nice but his other actions cant be said the same about. Rumple wants the best of both worlds.
Lol, Anna saying our world, Storybrooke is so 'Funny looking' and Elsa agreeing :)
Charming and Kristoff reunion, Anna liking David's hair shorter better is so funny.
Those final moments where Emma locks her parents in the cell to protect them is so heartbreaking, Emma use your specialness!
Regina protecting Henry is so awesome, she such a great mother. Operation Moongoose is not over! Everone they love, they protect :)
Woah. So much happened yet at the same time hardly anything happed. Mind blown at the necklace being the wishing star. Nice reference to Maleficent to remind people before 4B. Rumple is being a bigger douche than Hans. I want him dead this season. Also - Dead is really dead?!?! Because they never seem to stick with that anymore... Still I'm glad that we'll get to learn more about Blackbeard in the future. And it looks like we know who Hook traded the ship to. Just as I suspected ;)
Omg love this episode the final moments with Emma and her parents and Regina with Henry just wow! Elsa faith and belief in Anna what made her not stop trying to find her and the funny moment when Anna said this is funny looking town and Elsa saying I know and Regina was wrong and saying Robin and Henry are the only people that believe in her is wrong because Snow and Emma does too I know Rumple love Belle and Henry but his action about other stuff is just wrong and I really hope Belle found out is someone going find the bottle what the letter say
I was surprisingly touched by the scene when Anna tried to marry Kristoff while they were sinking to the bottom of the ocean, thinking they were going to die. She doesn't have time to process it right now, but Emma knows something is off with Hook by the way he kissed her. I think she will find out his heart is gone and she will share hers like Snow did with David. Hopefully, Gold will be discovered to be the treacherous villian he truly is and Emma can stop him and restore Hook's heart. Great episode complete with the climatic conclusion as the Shattered Sight curse falls upon the town.
Simply an amazing episode, such a jam packed hour of awesomeness, the reunion of the sisters worth the wait, touched me on every level, Gold loves Belle, but damn does he have to be so selfish, I hate what Hook is doing, it was so beautiful how Emma braced herself to take care of her little brother, The spell with the glass shattering cool special effects, that evil Snow Queen is really out of control, can't wait for the next episode!!!
This was another great episode. the 2 week wait was worth it.
I'm really pissed off with Rumple which means he doing his job GREAT! He took the fairies. he still a coward by having Hook do his dirty work. Being Evil and Coward is the Rumple i know and love. He is selfish and all about himself. Rumple dont ever change.
I'm little upset Elizabeth on got a little bit of screen time at the beginning and end of the episode and Michael (Will) barely got any screentime. Will time is coming in the 2nd half of the season so I'm not too mad.
Now we now we know what happen to the Jolly Roger. Ariel saved Black Beard and Hook traded his ship to Blackbeard.
Everytime i see Hans I want to punch him in the face. He is the biggest DOUCHE in the world. I hate him more then Hook. I'm glad Hans cleared up what i was thinking for the last few week. Ingrid Froze over Arendelle for 30 years. I cant wait until the girls get back to Arendelle and TAKE OUT HANS!
I'm glad Anna and Elsa are finally reunited. I'm glad the bottle with the note their mother wrote came a cross. it's just a matter of time b4 we find out what the note says.
It was too funny to see David reunited with Krissoff and "Joan" lol.
Snow really showing she could be a leader of Storybrooke. To bad Elsa pulled one on all of them.
The last few minutes b4 the spell fell on the town was really intense. Everyone separating to avoid their love ones. My heart broke a little when Snow and Davif went from holding hands to letting go with the evil look in their eyes.
side note: Henry is almost as tall as Emma and Regina. There need to be a time jump in 4B. He doesnt look 12 years old.
I'm looking forward to seeing my favorite character again next: THE EVIL QUEEN :)
Emma felt hooks kiss had no heart. It's weird how he has no heart but didn't wanna suck the fairies up. It looked like he really felt bad. And he still loves Emma. How's he feel love? Regina couldn't without hers.
I really hate Rumple right now. How i Wish Belle dump his sorry ass. He deserves sh"#!. Well Tink wasnt tehre maybe she will save all the fairies? Those final minutes
I guess he feels like Graham did, kinda empty but still human and himself. He just has no agency and basically has to do Rumple's biding. I just hate Rumple. He doesn't care who he hurts, even the people he loves (even if he spares them, they'd be heartbroken because of his actions). By now, I really hope Belle will divorce his ass when she finds out. If she doesn't then I'll just say it: serious case of stockholm syndrome.
Ok. So. Very thrilling episode in many ways. But am I the only one who thought Emma and Elsa spent what iittle time they had to stop or prepare for the spell really poorly...
They spent far too much time talking about that necklace and too little on how to at least minimize the damage. Uhm. With Gold being immune, it should be obvious that Regina will become the most dangerous person in town. Shouldn't Emma have been focussing on that fact in stead of stating that Regina can take care of herself. Yes, Regina can - but if Emma wants to be Regina's friend and have her back, she really should try to help her not go on a fireballing killing spree. Poor Regina, she's so scared of what she'll do. Gold will probably break all the barriers - including the one in the vault.
That being said, I have no doubt that Regina will make it. Gold is another matter. I think in Heroes and Villains, we'll see Regina with the heroes and Gold with the villains.
Good thing, they finally found Anna.
Looking forward to see how Emma, Elsa and Anna will break the spell. And it will be almost refreshing seeing the Charmings fight, I think.
I honestly thought it was one of OUAT's best episodes: while a transition for next week's "Shattered Sight" it does the job wonderfully. There's so much humor to go by exposition scenes, there's a lot of emotional weight and the last scene was brilliantly executing and quite effecting, I must say that last shot with Snow and David breaking their hands holding was powerful
GREAT EPISODE!!! damn it i think i'm starting like Hook and i hate it, it feels like i'm betraying Neal, i did not expect for Anna and Kristoff to be frozen for 30 years, God someone needs to kill gold like right now he's gone too far, i actually thought Hook would let Superior go or at least she would escape but nope and wow that's a short Will appearance and the reunion with David, Kristoff, and Anna was so cute and God the reunion between Elsa and Anna was so amazing and their conversation about Storybrooke was hilarious, I LOVE HEARING EMMA CALLING DAVID AND MARY MARGARET "MOM" AND "DAD"!!! it's so awesome and that scene with her and her parents was so painful, her carrying her little brother made it more the more poignan tand that last scene with David and Mary Margaret was heartbreaking, i can't wait to see how they get out of this
I have to be honest. This was not one of my favorite episodes. I felt it was a little unbalanced with so much riding on what is happening but a lot of the episode was Emma and Elsa. I'm sorry that I know many people, have liked the frozen arc, but feel it has dominated the show too much and we have seen more of Elsa than most of the regular characters, in my opinion. I like Georgina Haig but I really want our old, characters back and seeing them all the time. I have to also say that faced with imminent death, I still cannot believe that we didn't finally get an I Love You Emma from Killian. After all he did to get to to this point and he believes he will, never see her again, he doesn't say I Love You. So if he were to really die, Emma would never know she was his True Love. That is what fairy tales are made of. I am getting tired of the constant drama with CS. There is more drama with CS than there is with OQ and they haven't spent two season building up to this. I am glad we got confirmation that Bluebeard has Killian's ship. I am dismayed that Rumple continues to go down that selfish road. He wants Henry and Belle but in the end it is himself he wants to save. I am not sure how all our couples will survive this season with how they are being tested.
Regina could feel and love without her heart. Because like Snow said... Regina feels everything very deeply - not just with her heart, but her whole soul.
I love how all hate Gold in OUAT, this shows me, what a great actor Carlyle is to play such a villain so lively. And no, I don't approve all from Gold, he is a sad, weak coward.
Isn't testing couples a great thing? Happiness is the death of drama. I agree with "Frozen" taking up the screentime that should be given to the regular characters, most of which (Snow, Belle, Henry, Will and even a little bit of Charming and Regina) have done far less than they did in previous seasons (well, Belle's still the same). With three big villains coming up in the second arc, I'm even more concerned with what THAT will mean for the regulars. But I do like how everything seems to be falling into place with this arc. It's answering a lot of questions it's posed and even some questions that preceded it, like the stuff about the Jolly Roger. Also, it's Black Beard. :P Bluebeard is the guy who married women and then killed them and kept them in a secret room. OUaT should DEFINITELY do that story some day.
I LOVED that episode ! I'm excited for next week !
Hook and emma's goodbyes were so touching and I'm glad she felt something was off. Snow and Charming at the end WOW, that was powerful. For me, especially that moment on snow's "cold" face, the intensity in her eyes and face....I loved it, amazing acting on her part !
Rumple, I can't anymore, he wants to free himself from the dagger and he has his love, Belle ! She would never hurt him if she had the dagger...So he would be "kinda" free from it...But NO it's not enough for him ! He lies to her constantly, that's not love, and even Hook doesn't understand why love isn't enough for Rumple. I hate his sneakiness ! If I hate a character that much that means amazing acting !! so good job ! lol
Ana is really adorable ! Wanting to marry Kristoff before they die...awwww
Last thing, the special effects for the shattered sight curse was ASTONISHING AND BEAUTIFUL !!! It's the BEST looking curse on the show so far !
If it had any options above awesome,i would've voted for that. The episode was beyond perfect for me.The closing montage was breathtaking!I had high expectations for the mid-season finale, but after watching this-my expectations have gone up even higher!
I've never really understood that. The Sheriff and Cora also didn't feel love with their heart. Maybe if you have a strong connection with someone (like Hook does with Emma) then it won't matter if you lose your heart. I don't know...it still doesn't add up.
I agree happiness is the death of a show but they have really pushed things to the limit and it just doesn't seem to fit what has happened, successfully, in the last 3 seasons of the show. The couples and their journeys are what makes this show for me and seeing so much angst and drama for a few seconds of happiness in each episode is a little off for me. Or barely seeing them at all. I will be glad to see the frozen arc over and hope next part of the season is less on the villians and more on the regulars, including the townspeople.
Kidding? Snow always believed in Regina. Just watch the 2nd season how much she believes her. Must cite the facts, for they are many. And Emma was the first who believed in Regina when Cora pretended to kill Archie.
This is my favorite season hands down! These episodes have been executed so beautifully and I feel like a lot of characters that didn't get enough screen time before are getting it now, even with the wonderful Frozen characters taking precedence! Still hoping there will be a plot turn over with Will at some point, otherwise it seems a little pointless to have had him climb aboard the mother ship. It's also been fun to see some of the minor characters like Cinderella, Blue, Blackbeard make random appearances too! Also some fun LOST and Fringe allusions as usual (Ambered/frozen people, thinking someone is stuck in rocks, and drowning of lovers). I laughed so hard though when the trunk came ashore and it looked like Anna and Swen were spat out! ^^
Another stellar episode! This is definitely the best season so far.
Anna and Kristoff getting more screentime during this episode was awesome. Their relationship is so strong and the scene where they both were locked in the chest under the sea and Anna is saying her vows to Kristoff was so heartbreaking :( Also, her being all snarky with Hans was comedy gold. "And I sang with you!" HA! He deserved that. The final moments between them and you could just see the love Kristoff has for Anna draining away in his eyes and turning into hatred was pretty tough.
And the sisters finally reunite! Awww at Elsa hugging Anna after trying to find her for so long :) She was not going to give up without a fight and was going to do everything in her power to get her back and she succeeded. Go, Elsa! LOL at Anna saying "What a funny looking world" and Elsa concurring with her.
Mary Margaret and David asking Emma to lock them up and to take care of baby Neal was gut wrenching and pulled at my heartstrings! Those two are constantly being torn apart but they always seem to find one another. They will get through this curse :) And Emma does have the ability to save Storybrooke and she will!
Hook is still being under control by Rumple. Seeing him being forced to suck up the fairies and Mother Superior into the Sorcerer's Hat so that they won't be able to find a cure was sad. Really hope he gets his heart back.
The Evil Queen is coming! Robin telling Regina that he's not afraid of her and Regina warning him that he should be and to stay away from her made me tear up. She's afraid for his protection, as well as everyone is Storybrooke, and she knows that the darkness in her is the most powerful of all. Also, Operation Mongoose is totally back on! They just have to defeat the curse/The Snow Queen first.
The Spell of Shattered Sight being cast and seeing the shattered glass fall into Storybrooke was just beautiful to watch. The special effects were so awesome.
Next week's episode is going to be one hell of a ride! Can't wait to see it.
I wander if it could go like this from here: Emma grows more and more suspicious of Hook because without his heart even his darkest side doesn't work to its full potential (like he can't experience love fully but he can't feel hate the same way either) and realizes he doesn't actually own his heart at the moment. She confronts him and he confesses or she suspects Snow Qeeen at first and then realizes it was Rumple all along. Emma or Elsa or Snow Qeen find the emerged bottle we've seen this episode and Ingrid learns that in the end her sister had forgiven her and was indeed seeking her help with Elsa. She is able to belive that her loved one- her sister finally accepted her again and trusted her with Elsa and that changes her heart so she decides to help her niece and Emma. She lifts the spell herself , all three of them united have confrontation with Rumple, ending with Rumple being sucked into the Hat. Control over the Hat and the dagger goes to Belle. They all live happily ever after :)
The Snow Queen is so unbelievable stupid! Why does she want to kill everyone in Storybrooke? And will killing Emma's family make her want to be her sister, lol?
I agree with what everyone said about how perfect and touching everyting was, I just had to say that this episode was also incredibly funny! Snow & Regina killed it
i don't think Hook CAN confess sort of like when regina had Graham's heart and strange someone who was a villain for 300 years actually feels remorse and guilt for sucking the fairies in The Hat WITHOUT his heart, he really did change
Technically, Emma believing that Regina didn't kill Archie doesn't count because it wasn't an example of her having faith in Regina as a human being, but rather an instance of Emma trusting her "power" to detect when someone is lying.
This is why I feel like either people shouldn't rate episodes as "awesome" as often, or have a higher "one of the best" option. It's these episodes that make me proud to be a fan of this show. I always wonder, would this show be better if it was half as long to avoid bloat that happens in many episodes and virtually none in others, so we could keep a consistent faster pace?
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Omg omg omg omg
ReplyDeleteIs it next week yet?
Great Eps!
ReplyDeleteWhat is in the bottle??!!?

OH! And I bet anything that the solution to the spell is inside the bottle.
ReplyDeleteWhoa, that was great! So glad Anna, Kristoff, and Elsa have finally been reunited but why did no onet try to protect poor Kristoff? Rude.
ReplyDeleteAw at Snow and David leaving Neal in Emma's care.
Maybe something Ursula related?
ReplyDeletethe note their mother wrote in episode 4x1
ReplyDeleteOmg love this episode the final moments with Emma and her parents and Regina with Henry just wow! Actually she could she told Robin she can love and feel with her heart and with or without it in episode 19 in season three I believe
ReplyDeleteAWESOME! after such an episode, I know exactly, why we love OUAT so much, can't say more. YES!
ReplyDeleteI really hate Rumple right now. How i Wish Belle dump his sorry ass. He deserves sh"#!.

Also some fun LOST and Fringe allusions as usual (Ambered/frozen people, thinking someone is stuck in rocks, and drowning of lovers). I laughed so hard though when the trunk came ashore and it looked like Anna and Swen were spat out! ^^
ReplyDeleteI'm guilty of manic writing too! :D
ReplyDeleteSwen is the reindeer, Kristoff is Anna's fiancé ;-)
ReplyDeleteHa! OMG! Yes. typing to fast. Will edit, thanks! LOL!
ReplyDeleteREGINA UNCHAINED !
ReplyDeleteLOL, I do the same always with Rumplestiltskin, typing to fast and the t I forget ;-)
ReplyDeleteAm I the only person who can see a massive loophole in this episode? Why did someone not use the wishing star to wish the curse to not take effect?
ReplyDeleteAnother stellar episode! This is definitely the best season so far.
ReplyDeleteAnna and Kristoff getting more screentime during this episode was awesome.
ReplyDeleteThe Snow Queen is so unbelievable stupid! Why does she want to kill everyone in Storybrooke? And will killing Emma's family make her want to be her sister, lol?
ReplyDeleteEpisode was insolently perfect. More episodes like that, please.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful heartbreaking kiss by Emma and Hook.
ReplyDeleteSnowing and Emma
Elsa and Anna reunion
And seeing Blackbeard again
loved it ! can't wait till next week
ReplyDeleteI loved that references for future storylines: "mermaid" to Ursula and "dragon" to Maleficent.
ReplyDeleteI agree with what everyone said about how perfect and touching everyting was, I just had to say that this episode was also incredibly funny! Snow & Regina killed it
ReplyDeleteGlad to know I'm not the only one :)
ReplyDeleteAt this point, Jennifer Morrison is what keep me from leaving the show. Meh.
ReplyDeleteoh awesome i can't believe i didn't get that with the Ambering from Fringe you rock LOL
ReplyDeletei don't think Hook CAN confess sort of like when regina had Graham's heart and strange someone who was a villain for 300 years actually feels remorse and guilt for sucking the fairies in The Hat WITHOUT his heart, he really did change
ReplyDeleteI was assuming it only allows for one wish because I wondered the same thing. They could have at least tried.
ReplyDeleteTechnically, Emma believing that Regina didn't kill Archie doesn't count because it wasn't an example of her having faith in Regina as a human being, but rather an instance of Emma trusting her "power" to detect when someone is lying.
ReplyDeleteThey didn't know what it was before Elsa accidentally used it. After that?... I guess it can't be used more than once...?
ReplyDeleteThis is why I feel like either people shouldn't rate episodes as "awesome" as often, or have a higher "one of the best" option. It's these episodes that make me proud to be a fan of this show. I always wonder, would this show be better if it was half as long to avoid bloat that happens in many episodes and virtually none in others, so we could keep a consistent faster pace?
