I loved all of the Gibbs Rules flashbacks and the bringing the hackers back. I did not love the ending! It was a very well written episode though, especially Tim's letter to his dad.
It was such a heart touching episode. I feel for McGee. My family has a thing for dying on holidays. Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Christmas, Thanksgiving and Groundhog's Day. We knew McGee's father was dying. I think the most important part was that his dad realized he probably wouldn't survive the surgery and decided as McGee said to spend the holiday at home instead of in the hospital.
I agree with the second point. Though I did see it coming a little bit not too much figured since it was a Christmas episode they would still keep him alive for at least one more episode!
This episode had me in tears at the end. Mostly because my grandfather died 2 days before Christmas. I don't see it as being rude, but realistic, tragedy happens at any time of the year. I enjoyed the story that McGee told and I loved seeing things from his perspective, we don't get a lot of that. Loved the flashbacks and in all honesty I don't really remember the hackers very well. I also loved the fact that McGee went through the various rules and even pointed out the fact there are 2 rules for certain numbers. They did a great job.
Worst episode this season. I was bored and irritated 2 minutes in and it didn't get any better. Out of 10 I would give it a -40 Saw the punch line coming the minute Abby asked McGee about his dad. The case was flimsy and a non interesting/gripping.
Poor ep, especially bad taste ending, making this the Christmas ep was a terrible idea. People get depressed enough this time of year they look for something to entertain not make them feel worse.
Also the script was terrible I mean really terrible. Seriously "Hopeless Heartless Humbugs". That line would have been cringe worthy in a really BAD Christmas movie let alone a supposedly good TV program. Seriously this episode piss*d me off on SO many levels. Mostly though because it was so da*n bad. A good McGee centric episode wasted by poor writing and bad taste heart break.
Really cant understand anyone who voted this awesome.

I saw the twist coming from a mile away but THAT WAS STILL SAD AND RUDE FOR A CHRISTMAS EPISODE, NCIS. Poor McGee.

ReplyDeleteConsidering how much I liked each of the characters that currently only show up in flashbacks I enjoy whenever they happen
ReplyDeleteWell awesome episode. but i never (yes that is true) expected to see that as an ending.
