This ep is full of scenes for rewatching: porch, at the crime scene (Cho :D), "don't talk to her like that", "how to make split" and of course the scene with Pike! He was annoying to me in s6, but now I really started to respect him, he was so right, correct and respectful and the whole scene was perfectly played by Simon, Robin and Pedro (and the music by Blake Neely...). Bravo! Very strong episode! Love it. Awesome.
It was a great episode in terms of the "takedown", the team, and of course Jane and Lisbon! However I did felt that this episode wasn't as smooth as the ones in previous seasons. It sort of felt slow to me however all in all, I hope this season would be a fantastic one to send the show off.
Loved all the Jane and Lisbon moments too :) I really liked that Jane used Lisbons childhood memories and got that car at the end of the episode where they took a ride, that was a nice touch.
I also really liked how Lisbon told Jane she doesnt have to be in the dark anymore and he can tell her things about the case straight away now :)
Gonna go get food and watch this. I always found them awkward, but let see how it turns out. didn't this come out Thursday? That's when I got alert. anywho time to get food.
Loved it! I’ve been looking forward a long time to see Jane & Lisbon get together and it was refreshing indeed to see them in a new dynamic, though it is not that much different to before (given that they have always cared for each other deeply) except for perhaps a few longing glances & way too many indulgent smiles from Lisbon at Jane’s antics!
I said good, only because I rearly use great or awsome to describe anything. It's a personall thing rather then me thinking nothing can be great or awsome.
Jane giving Lisbon the paper swan was a throw back to the series primere when Jane gave Lisbon a paper frog. Also the end of the episode was a short of throw back to the first time they met Mashburn when Jane borrowed a car to take Lisbon to some resturant. Though this time th car had meaning to Lisbon.
Anyone else notice that having Fischer's mother living in Seattle could give a reason for her visiting Lisbon in the second reboot episode last season, besides trying to get her to join the FBI to make Jane happy.
No offence to Pike but he was playing the whole 'I'm upset that I didn't get what I want' card a little to much. Bringing up how he had a plan and that he was offing Lisbon something was stupid, I mean nothing ever goes as someone plans it and just because he was offering her all those things doesn't mean that she wanted those things from him. Also I didn't buy the whole his beard was for an undercover thing, since I highly doubt if he was going undercover they would have let him travel to Austin since it would be hard to explain his aliais's absence. More then likely he's been sulking because he didn't get what he wanted which was Lisbon, and there for not shaving.
I have to hand it to Jane though, if it were me I wouldn't have stood their silent when Pike said about how he had a plan and what he had to offer, if it were me I would have said like I mentioned before, of how plans don't always go the way he want them to (and maybe how I'm proof of that) and about just because he was offering those things doesn't mean that she wanted them from him or that's what she wanted at all.
Also I would have giving Lisbon a warning that Pike had been said to have been in town, but that's just me.
One thing that struck me was that Abbott let Jane go to the victims apartment alone, especially after being told that it could have been something from the victims past that got him killed. I mean forall Abbott could have known the killer could have been at the apartment.
Also Abbott knows that something is going on between Jane and Lisbon, just like I thought he would, I mean Abbott is to smart not to know.
And Jane may have blown the secreat since he never questioned Lisbon staying when he showned up at the crime scene like Cho had. Though that could be explained if Jane claimed that Lisbon wasn't going to leave in the season six finale (which for some reason I can't totally remember if he had.)
This was a great start to the season. Jane and Lisbon were utterly adorable, especially in their first scene. It's so good to finally see them so happy together. How they expect to keep things a secret for long is beyond me, though, especially since Abbott already knows and the others likely suspect (except Vega and if she's smart she'll catch on soon enough). Case-wise, this was pretty classic; reminded me a lot of the earlier seasons. Vega seems like she'll fit in pretty well, so long as she knows how to roll with the punches (pretty much a prerequisite for working with Jane). Good to finally have this show back! :)
