  3. I thought after last week's episode that the intensity would die down but those finale moments were some of the most intense ones yet. Glad to finally know who the mole is. Hope Quinn makes it out alive.

  4. Well, I have to say: I'm usually very good at anticipating narratives of TV shows, and Who Did It (recent successes: How to Get Away With Murder, and Arrow), but "if" Dar Adal is the long-standing Mole at the CIA, this one didn't even enter my mind. Which says a lot about the renewed Quality of Homeland this season. Surprise after surprise after surprise. AND, they all work!

So, with only one episode to go, I'm not sure what the narrative will be next week: taking out Haqqani? convincing the CIA that Dar Adal is dirty? Quinn & Carrie going totally rogue and taking out Dar Adal?

BTW, are the writers going for the next season set-up of Saul getting his old job back as CIA Director, since Lockhart mentioned that the White House is searching for his replacement? Or, will Carrie go to work for Saul as a CIA Contractor?

  5. I was wondering what Sauls' fate would be next season. He seemed so dejected and a shell of what he formally was when Haqanni took him captive it made me wonder if in the grand scheme of things it would be realistic to put him back in charge of the CIA. Lockhart is starting to grow on me as Director. He changed from been a prick last season to this...I think I could live with him staying in charge.

I never even connected the dots until now that Dar Adal was the mole but now that I think about it everything falls into place and makes a lot of sense.

  6. For the record: Dar Adal may NOT be a traitor. What may be going on is a Secret Deal between Haqanni and the U.S.: with the U.S. leaving Afghanistan & Pakistan in return for the return of the list of U.S. agents/informants that Haqanni stole from the U.S. Embassy. And, Dar Adal may only be the messenger, acting on behalf of the U.S. government. From the ending of tonight's episode and previews the narrative can go in either direction. And remember, Lockhart's remarks about the White House in "secret meetings"? Again, there are two possibilities: either the U.S. government has just learned that Dar Adal is dirty and is meeting the assess the damage; or, the government has dispatched Dar Adal as a Negotiator.

  7. Good point...will be interesting to see which way this goes

  8. Well, Dar Adal didn't exist until season 2, so I'm guessing that him being the mole is a more recent decision by the writers. I hope it will all make sense.

  9. Simply awesome! Didn't see that ending coming! I'm speechless. I hope they will explain ALL about Dar Adal in the next episode. Also I hope they will let Quinn get out alive...

  11. Gosh, Kahn's becoming like Carrie's guardian angel. Every time she's about to get into HUGE deadly trouble, he's there for her. haha

My jaw is still on the floor. I didn't expect Dar Adal at all in that car.

  12. It's not so obvious. It was said before that White House was planning something. Maybe Dar Adal's mission is more complicated?

  13. Best episode. Now, let's wait for the finale.
