This episode was "awesome"! Between the "Fallen Angel" and "Lilith/Eve's" baby snatching sister is what "Constantine" should have been since premiere. I have all but written this series off, but with the last two episodes...............I'll hang around for the full season. Between shady nuns and the "Thing" spider - walking (x2 speed)................whatever will poor John do now? 4 A SMOKE IF YOU GOT ONE, I am Nobody!!!
Pretty sure it's a mistake by the studio or something, and no one has bothered to correct it. I recall they did something similar with 666 Park Avenue, except the last episode was titled Part 1 leading everyone to believe there was a missing episode (despite the fact the episode was designed as a last-minute series finale).
I hope Google Play and iTunes don't include the "Part 2" in the episode titles, that will annoy me.
This show is the best supernatural show on TV right now. I can't wait for more. The show just keeps getting better and better. I stay at home on Friday just to watch this show because it is must see TV.
I liked this episode. This episode expanded the mythology well. With that 2 long gone beings coming to light. The Ancient Warlocks with high Magic, capable of this riding darkness, and that Imogin(idk spelling) creature from Zed's drawing that is known to be unstoppable.
I liked Anne Marie too, glad we got to see someone else who was close to Constantine. I liked their moment together, even the end because it plays back to what Constantine reminded her that no cost is too high to save an innocence. And I'm sure Constantine wouldn't blame her. This will just make it more interesting in how he gets out of it.
We also pretty much got the secret Zed has been hiding. With words like Crusade and Mary, you can see where this is going, tho anyone familiar with comics predicted as much. And that's not bad. I like how she laughs.
Oh yea and this Part 2, Part 1... people don't like getting confused remember that whoever did that. Cuz like some places its part 1 others part 2. Oh well never mind that, time to wait and catch up on other shows while it comes back. I only have like 50+ shows to catch up on.
I think the show has been excellent since episode 3. The last three or four have been particularly amazing. The pilot was great in concept, but had enough content to fill a 90 minute pilot, and therefore felt rushed and too crazy. Episode 2 is the only one I felt was an actual disservice to the series but even that had its moments. These last few eps though...they have been so good that I think I will actually be emotionally affected if NBC doesn't order a second season, ha... I already love it more than Supernatural and even Sleepy Hollow which makes me feel blasphemous to say. But back to my original point, personally I feel the show has been frickin great for a little more than the past two eps. :p
For years being Supernatural fan myself I'm now constantly depressed by how it has fallen from grace. Thankfully Constantine came and I'm falling in love with this show more and more every week. It's inventive both in terms of plot and mythology and doesn't shy from taking the risks with its characters. And is beautifully shot. It truly has the original comics vibe.
Each week this show continues to excel, the thing is I'm just so afraid to continue to be invested in it, with the wishy washy way NBC is handling it, to me it's the best show to ever follow Grimm, with only 13 shows commited come on NBC for a Friday show, this is a winner!!!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteNBC needs to get this show renewed RIGHT NOW!!!!
ReplyDeleteI think it might be something like that Mel Brooks movie with the title History of The world Part 2 but having no part 1.

oh ok that makes sense this was left as a sort of "To Be Continued..." without them actually putting it on screen
