    I LOVED this episode if for no other reason than the Creasey's broke up Lanie & Esposito...YAY!!!!!!!! The Creasey's have made my fondest Christmas wish come true and I am so grateful...yay!!!!!!!

    What is Castle going to do now he can't work with his wife. I hope the writers fix this problem soon and work it in right. The rest of the episode was awesome the mob story line was nice and pretty amusing.

    not the first tv show to do a lose a consultant story line.......I have a feeling this entire being not a consultant for nypd has something to do with the mythology that started this season

    That would make sense i been waiting for them to bring that back up and i am sure it's after the break but Castle the P I lol i like that for a short term arc. Do you mean that the people that kidnapped Castle had something to do with his not being a consultant.

    yes it seem strange that Castle is no longer a consutlant because of his ties to organized crime......and the mayor would have him removed. I think the people behind Castle kidnapping have some influence over the Mayor and DA office......I pretty sure castle had done worse than some ties to OC so it very fishy

    Maybe this wont be good for the ratings but for the show it will be good now they can show their competitive spark we loved from earlier seasons again but now they are married it will be extra fun seeing them do the same at the 12th and at the loft becomes boring after a while and now we can see their potential as a married couple and for all the people saying this killed the show dont worry so much lol he will be back in 1-2 episodes before the 2 parter and prob 3xk/nieman

    it will work if it is temporary......we saw Beckett leave nypd to join the FBI maybe but this time is reverse with Castle doing some PI for one or two episode. The only question is how he would be able to consult for nypd again

    Well, that was definitely a bombshell, however, I do believe that things do return normal soon. It just won't feel right not having Castle around the precinct.


    I can think of one way that this change in dynamic could get solved. Castle owed Dino, now maybe it's Dino's turn to return the favor?

    I'm a little confused by the lanie and Esposito ending. Did they really break up? That would be weird considering two episodes ago they had lanie so worried about him in the train. Or was it just the two of them agreeing they weren't ready or in the right place to get married?

    I think that Lanie and Espo are both happy where their relationship is now. It hasn't progressed to the point where they are looking to get married yet.

    Well I put a Awesome vote : I laughed a lot, I loved the case and all the spices that make Castle show so good... the cliffhanger !? well we know Castle this is not such a big deal for him... close the door he'll come back through the window, tell him don't he'll find a way to change your mind... so I'm confident and Happy because that will bring more fun !!     Looking forward to see how they'll handle this new storyline with Castle. It's about time they do something like this. The show needs a bit of a shake up. I hope they keep them 'separated' till the end of the season and not over a couple of episodes and then get them back together again (like they did with Beckett getting fired).


    One thing I don't get though - Castle doesn't tell Beckett he's been 'fired' but the next ep jumps to a few months later and she clearly knows. So we don't get to see Castle telling Beckett about what happened?! Well, that's dumb.

    According to the preview, he gets his Private Investigator license and 'competes' with Kate's team to solve the next episode's murder. It should make a fun episode...not sure how long they could drag that out. There is an upcoming 2-parter, probably for Feb or May sweeps, that they have said will give us more about this new mythology with Castle's childhood and the missing months.
