  3. I think it was the weakest of the season but still good. The season is like one big chess board and they moved a lot of pieces tonight.
No matter Finn's inner turmoil, he still got off easy and now the camp is going to pay for that.

  4. The adults keep screwing up and making things worse. How is that even possible?

And I can't believe Finn played the "It was an accident" card.

Maybe it's because Rothenberg had to do 16 episodes instead of the 13 max he wanted to do. Still even though 'Fog' was slower paced we learned a lot in the episode.

  6. Great episode but one thing I didn't like is how everyone except Clarke(and Octavia) brushed off what Finn did.

  7. Everyone seems to be fine with the idea of Finn dying soon. I really do understand he has to answer for his actions but honestly I'm going to be sad to see him go if/when it does happen.

He's done some terrible things lately but looking back at season one when he was a peacemaker and just trying to stop the war from even starting makes me sad to see what he's become.

  8. the cw poor advertisement department is probably why. Even if a show isn't geared that way, their advertisement usually have that problem.

  9. This ep showed a few really interesting things. The acid cloud is really a weapon from Mt. Weather. And the Grounders leadership appears to be Matriarchal. All their real leaders have been women.

I thought the underground garage was creepy, especially with the music playing. I kept wondering if any of the cars would still be drivable. I'm glad they found Lincoln, hope they can get his mind back, though.

Jaha making it to camp was great. And once again, Kane tries to do something noble. Half the time, I hate Kane and then he does something like that.

I really don't know what they should do with Finn. I don't think he's too mentally stable and definitely shouldn't be allowed to carry a gun.

I thought it was a good ep. I agree that it was slower paced. But it did kind of move the story along anyway.

  10. ARE YOU TELLING ME THAT THE COMMANDER OF EVERY SINGLE GROUNDER IS A TEENAGE GIRL!!!! WOW, and damn Finn he's going to go through some stuff

  11. you really think a Reaper can be cured?

  12. A better episode then the last one. Last week I voted Poor, this week back to awesome.

Finally there was some good reasoning by the grown ups. For clearing Finn and Murphy, for assisting Bellamy, and for thinking of the known survivors the 47.

Finn and Clarke moment tho sour was better then expected post massacre. One key moment was when Clarke understood a little when he told her where the watch was. I liked that scene.

And I saw the Lexa being the commander right away. First of all was why is she in there and the Real first of all is almost all leaders in this show are woman.

    Well till next week!

  13. Well it was in his eyes. He didn't know Clark and the 47 were taken by the mountain men. All they knew about was the grounders the ark people the reapers, to him the mountain people if he was around to heard about them, could just be some other crazy grounders. But in the end last he knew they were at war with grounders.
Then he goes on a rescue mission and manage to find a grounder with Clark'es most valued item. What is he to assume. Is it his fault that grounder was a traitor to the grounder camp he sent Finn too? no its probably that grounder camp's fault and their blood for blood ways.
Then he goes to the camp and the people refuse to give clear explanation. That camp supposedly housed elders based on this episode, elders who have been around for a long time, elders who know about the Mountain men who take their people. Elders who could of told him then it was them who could of taken them.
And the Ark survivors also have no right to charge him for droping them down, thier ways up there were also flawed.

This world is messy and grey from all that destruction and smoke. Can't expect things to be black and white here.

  14. The way I remember it, he was ready to let it go. He was walking away. But he was running so high on emotions, on adrenaline, after everything that happened since before the battle (it was three days prior, won't be listing all that happened to him in the meantime though), that his fight-or-flight instinct was strung up to the point of breaking. And it broke.

That's how it was an accident.

It's not meant as an excuse. There is no excuse. And I don't think for one second, that Finn actually believes what he says. He wants someone to call him on it, because he can't face it himself, it's too much. And no one does, they keep avoiding him. They have pardoned him!

I wouldn't have responded to your comment at all, because I don't want to fight over this, but I know you from elsewhere. Understand, not excuse. Sounds familiar?

  15. Plus keeping him alive would create an opportunity for atonement and I would like to see this story. We got to know Finn as a cheerful, a little cocky guy who quickly became one of most valued, trusted and respected of the 100. Now he lost this position almost completely and landed close to Murphy. They took him with them only for his tracking skills but still he is so not one of them. It would be interesting to see how low he can get an then him carving his way back to the group and making himself new kind of man in the process. Or maybe going fully dark? Anyway I want to see his development from here.

  16. My thought exactly. Don't the Grounders have any traind, battle-wise adults?

  17. strange. who the hell is MW trying to jam? and why would they need encryption on their communications?

  18. The sarficice part with Jaha and Kane was most predictable. Marcus is still guilt-ridden over sending 300 people to die so you could smell from a mile that he would try to sacrifice himself.

The fact that Maya knew all along what the "treatments" were suprised me a little but it's a good move from the writers, it adds some creepines to her character who otherwise was too sweet, too nice and too good to be true. And doesn't it look like the best option now would be not to break out 47 ( how?) but to expose the inside of the mountain to the radiation ? And WOW for Monty answering for Maya's: "what could we do? " - "Die". Best line.

I'm not usually very moved y the whole Linctavia storyline but this Octavia and Lincoln meeting was really heartbreaking. Kudos to Bellamy for not killing Lincoln ( and not letting Octavia do it) but trying to save him for her. He has come a long way from torturing the guy.

As for Finn he seems to still be trying to detach from his emotions and I agree with telane he puts this almost indifferent front up as a defence mechanism and is acutally waiting for someone to really confornt him. I wouldn't be suprised if deep down he needs some form of punishemnt and being pardoned by the chancelor he would seek it somwhere elese. That's why I have a bad feeling about letting Finn go to any battle or fight with grounders, reapers or mountain men.
Clarke and Finn's conversation in the bunker was so sad and the "I don't even know who ypu are anymore" rang true. But she didn't know him that well to begin with. That's why I guess if anybody can get trough Finnn now it's gonna be Raven, she really knows how he works.

  19. Oh I agree. I also think it's an episode needed for set up. I liked it a lot, just not as much as the rest of the season.

  20. I said last season that The Commander was a woman and we have no idea their hierarchy. She could be descended or she could have won it in battle. She seemed smart and very respected by her fellow Grounders.

    ReplyDelete
  21. She seemed well trained to me when she dropped Jaha and had him by the throat.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I think they can if stopped early enough. Right now Lincoln is just a drug addicted subject. If they can counter that drug or detox him in some way, he can be cured but he'll never be psychologically the same.

    ReplyDelete
  23. yeah it's crazy she must have done something insane to be made commander, Rothenberg definitely likes strong females

    ReplyDelete
  24. I'm not saing she didn't handle him well. She did, she apperntly is that awsome. It just seems so unrealistic that the Grounders seemingly prefer to have teenage girls at the top military and power position. I'm glad the show writes strong female characters but I feel it would be more believable to make someone like Anya exeption rather than the pattern. Teens/young adults can make fine worriers and probably in many real historical tribes (that look similar to the Grounders) they did but to rule the tribe one usually needs more experience and consideration that coms with age. Having these teen girls commanders and making them not only stronger beyond their looks and waiser beyond their years but stronger and apperently smarter then others in their group, including all older people, doesn't ring true.Clarke and the 100 were on their own, Grounders have natural social structure so it's hard to swallow. Well, maybe they die really young, exept for few incompetent adults.

  25. then they might use electroshock therapy or some nonsense

  26. I was a bit disappointed with the episode.

If they wouldn't punish Finn for the 'accidental' massacre , then why give him a gun and bring him on the adventure squad? It felt forced just to have Clarke/Finn moment in that bunker.

Also, should I believe that Raven's brace cured her leg completely? She didn't limp or struggle to keep up with the the rest.

Don't get me started on Zombeo and Juliet storyline.

The only saving grace for me was having a twist with Mount Weather President being a scary good guy.

  27. Accidental massacre. yup, that happens everyday.
    Ugh that grated.

  28. While I found the overall episode a little slow (compared to the previous weeks), the individual stories were quite interesting to watch. The Clarke and Finn scene was very emotional and you can see both are struggling inside, esp Finn ... it was really well acted by Thomas McD.
Also ... how badass are the Blake siblings! They make such a kickass team!
Jasper taking control and a leadership role in Mt. Weather was pretty awesome! I was yelling finally!

Seems like the sky people are facing two wars, one with the grounders and one with Mt. Weather! Yikes! Looking forward to action packed episodes in the coming weeks!

  29. I cant believe how this show is getting so poor ratings it deserves to be at least 0.8 or 1.0.
Cage your papa is on to you. But that old man is a walking corpse they will kill him soon. I have a feeling.
    Finn got it too easy...
Lincoln is going into withdrawal without that drug, right?

    ReplyDelete
  30. Best thing about this episode were Abby, Kane and Jaha for me. I cannot stand the Lincoln storyline, one of my favorite characters from season one, now a drug addict, couldn't the writers used his character better? Instead they are just introducing one new grounder after the other. And Mount creepy is just disgusting...

And the whole storyline around Finn seems forced and rushed, I just hope it is not him who dies even tough everybody thinks it is going to be him. I like Finn as a character and I hope that he gets a redemption arc, not that I think he needs one, but apparently he thinks he does. The grounders started that war and have killed so many of the 100, and now suddenly the villagers matter? Let Clarke and Bellamy be together as the shippers demand it, but please without Finn dying.
