NCIS: Los Angeles - Reign Fall - Review: "Drama, Backstory & Fun"
10 Dec 2014
NCIS: Los Angeles ReviewsIn “Reign Fall,” the NCIS team must find out who is behind the deadly bombing of a legendary CIA operative’s home. (A paparazzi friend of the woman’s fiancé was checking on the house when the bomb went off and killed him.) It turns out that bomb was intended for the fiancé, a Marine whose son goes to school at a military academy. The team suspects another military-trained young adult snapped under the severe pressure and might be protecting boys from overbearing military fathers by killing their dads.
I really enjoyed this episode for many reasons. It had some dramatic moments alongside the fun ones, it was laced with a poignant theme, we got some good character backstory on Sam, the plot felt relevant and we had a fun Densi scene as well.
Sam and Callen
When it came to finding out more about one of our central characters, this was a Sam-centric episode. We learned a little bit more about Sam’s upbringing and his complicated relationship with his father. (Which character in this show doesn’t have complicated feelings when it comes to his/her father?) I really liked that they brought Sam’s family life into the episode. And I like how Callen was used as a source of encouragement to Sam when he questions the discipline from his father.
As “Reign Fall” progresses, we quickly learn that the regimented structure and environment of military academies are a familiar sight for Sam, who grew up under his Marine father going to this kind of school. His upbringing fosters mixed feelings and emotions in the tough agent. While he defends the military schooling to Callen (“Give ‘em a boy at eight, they return a man at 18”), he also several times in the episode questions whether this type of pressure is too much for a young adult to handle. He makes a statement about that as he is sitting with the Marine waiting to smoke out the killer. He tells the man he hopes his son gets a chance to just be a “boy” instead of always a cadet and he questions if this whole murder scenario is a result of a military child being pushed too hard.
The thoughts suggest personal reflection on Sam’s own upbringing. As he talks to Callen about his father, we know he called his father “Colonel Hanna.” Sam reflects back on his childhood as a time of strict discipline and following orders from his dad. He tells Callen about a time he slacked on his workout and his father (“Colonel Hardass”) pushed him beyond his normal limits, making him run 15 miles in a day while following him in a truck. This was a great scene. After hearing the story, Callen told Sam his impressions of what those severe actions meant: by following him in that truck, Sam’s father was right there with him. Callen emphasized that no one had ever pushed him like that and that people always push you when they care. The point was taken in silence as Sam considers Callen’s words. Though he remembered a father who challenged him and disciplined him constantly, that doesn’t mean his father didn’t care.
In this episode, it’s important to note that there is a difference between being disciplined with strict methods and being abused. In the case they’re working on, the young adult who ends up being the killer had a strict military stepfather as well. But that man didn’t just keep his stepchildren on a regimented routine – he actually beat them into submission. So his methods were different than those used by Sam’s father.
By the end, Sam knows that his father indeed cared about him. He tells Callen, “As gruff as he was, I’m still grateful for everything he did for me.” And Callen offers a great perspective as he tells Sam in return, “Sometimes it takes a rock and a feather for balance.” (I also enjoyed Callen making note of Hetty being both a rock and a feather. She really is, isn’t she?)
After all this, it’s the perfect ending to see Sam stay behind and call his father on the phone. He is calling to check in and see how he’s doing, but he is also calling because he’s realized how much his father loves him. He wants to connect with his dad and let his father know he cares, too.
I have to say, I loved how this theme with Sam was interwoven throughout the episode. The main plot (of finding a young killer who may have cracked) touched on the subject of “How much discipline is too much for kids?” And that theme was then driven home as Sam considers the effects of that question in his own life. I found this double emphasis on the theme – through both the plot and a main character’s experience – a very effective tool for bringing a character’s history into the foreground. As Sam’s experience reflected what was going on in the story, it made a bigger impact. I wish “NCIS: Los Angeles” would weave the characters’ stories into the larger pictures more often. Usually the show leaves little nuggets of a character’s history dispersed randomly throughout episodes – like the dropping of crumbs along a path. But it’s a lot more moving to do it in a dramatic way that ties into the rest of the plot. It emphasizes their story and makes the plots feel more relevant.
I would be remiss to not also mention the fun side of Sam’s story this week: trying to figure out which character he dressed up as for his daughter’s Disney birthday party. I really enjoyed Callen’s quest to figure out who Sam had become. Sam doesn’t want to give any information, which just prompts more fun guesses from Callen and the rest of the crew. They offer up some good suggestions. They guess Captain Hook (“He’s a sailor,” Callen says), Baloo from “The Jungle Book,” and Beast from “Beauty and the Beast.” (You had to laugh as Kensi said the Beast was large and fearless with a heart of gold, just like Sam.) Later Callen also guesses the genie from “Aladdin,” Dr. Evil, Lex Luther, Yul Brynner and Pinocchio. Aside from Pinocchio, I could see Sam as all of these characters. Imagining it was humorous. But even better was the real revelation: Sam dressed up as Sully from “Monsters, Inc.” I’d love to see that costume on Sam. What a wonderful image left in our minds. And after Callen had tried so hard to find out, it was nice to see Sam finally reveal his choice to Callen.
Kensi and Deeks
I especially loved this week’s scene of Kensi and Deeks visiting the basketball player they thought was connected to the bombing victim. I was a little surprised, though, at the fact Deeks had never revealed to Kensi that he personally knew this man. Here was an NBA player whom Deeks and Kensi had apparently watched before (in a live game – Kensi had noticed him pointing at them, which wouldn’t have happened through television). And they were close enough that the man actually called Deeks his “best friend.” So wouldn’t Deeks have told Kensi at some point that he knew him? That’s the kind of thing I imagine Deeks bragging about. But this time he hadn’t, and it made for an amusing scene. In fact, I imagine that’s why he didn’t reveal his famous “best friend” to Kensi. He enjoyed the inside knowledge of watching her get all giddy over a guy Deeks knew. I can just picture Deeks smiling to himself during the game they went to, enjoying the irony of the situation and deciding to keep his ties to himself until he felt like revealing his connection and prompting a reaction from Kensi. In fact, the more I think about it, the more I realize that Deeks really loves eliciting these fun, half-upset, half-amused responses from Kensi. It’s part of his flirting game with her.
The fact that Kensi already liked this guy to begin with made the scene even better. Watching her smooth her hair as she waited at the door was amusing. And so was Deeks pretending he didn’t know anything about basketball. Obviously that wasn’t true at all, so we got an inside glimpse at how Deeks likes to charmingly harass Kensi and egg her on. He was totally setting her up here as if she was the expert, when actually Deeks was the inside man. It gave me the feeling he purposely does this a lot, knowingly making jokes at her expense – but all in fun, of course.
When they finally go inside and Kensi learns her sports idol is good friends with Deeks, the player reveals that Deeks has also talked about Kensi. “You weren’t playing – she’s bad,” he says to Deeks, right in front of Kensi. Throughout their conversation it becomes clear that “bad” is a good thing – he thinks Kensi is a hottie and approves of whatever Deeks has going on with her. And after Deeks questions him about his whereabouts during the murder, the player says Deeks has a conflict of interest and Kensi should be questioning him alone. All of this was quite entertaining. As they’re getting ready to leave and Deeks says he has better things to do than stay with the hot girls at the pool, his friend looks at Kensi and whispers the words, “I bet you do” while winking. Deeks doesn’t appreciate the gesture but Kensi doesn’t seem to mind. In fact, she doesn’t want to leave and has to be prodded to go. All these different aspects of the scene made it a lot of fun.
Nell and Eric
Nell and Eric also had a good moment after Nell gets excited about some information Eric inadvertently gives her and plants a kiss on his cheek. It happened so fast that you weren’t expecting it at all. But I think the fact that it happened in the moment made it nicer. Nell didn’t even think about it as she got excited about a new lead and showed her appreciation to Eric in this way. In the midst of an otherwise routine episode for these characters, it was a pleasant surprise.
Other Thoughts
- I was reminded in this episode how much Sam and Callen are polar opposites. Sam is someone who has learned to follow protocol all his life and respects it, while Callen doesn’t like answering to anyone.
- I didn’t quite see the connection between going from the random items left behind at these connected murders – rose petals, rings, perfume – to realizing the culprit was likely an overdisciplined military kid who snapped. That tie-in didn’t really work for me. And Nell figuring out the rose petal connection also felt kind of out-there.
- Deeks was funny as a coffee barista who couldn’t get Sam or the Marine to order any fancy coffees.
- I enjoyed the creepiness of the two brothers being mentally unbalanced. It brought a real sorrow to the situation. Watching the first boy hit himself, call himself stupid and then hum to himself made him seem crazy. By the time the mother came in and sang a lullaby to him while holding him like a baby, I was both saddened and very creeped out. Then when the older boy hummed the same lullaby, it was really effective. The misery and eeriness behind these scenes enhanced the episode. It was nice to have some dramatic plot scenes in addition to dramatic character moments.
- I thought Callen was really adept at reading the situation with the mother. I didn’t understand at first what had happened with her second husband until Callen mentioned she knew what happened to her husband – her son had protected her from him and killed him.
- On second viewing, I was shocked to see a bad swear word starting with “F” on the graffiti in the classroom. That’s not a word you can show on primetime TV, yet there it was on the wall. Yikes! Anyone else catch that?
- I’m usually not impressed with all the explosions. But the explosion at the end of the episode where Sam grabs the kid and they fall into the pool was really cool! That was a nice twist. And I laughed out loud when Callen asked Sam how the water was and Sam answered, “Perfect” with a very annoyed look on his face.
- I loved the ending chat about grabbing food together. Kensi was funny as she put Deeks on the spot asking if he was going to buy for everyone. I love how he just gave her a look instead of answering. It was perfect how the lilting music stopped right then, adding to the humor. And then Kensi decides she’ll buy. That is, until Deeks tells everyone, “You better hurry because you know there are limits to Kensi’s generosity.” That comment definitely backfired.
- I’m so excited for next week’s episode after that promo teasing love for Callen and a potential kiss between Deeks and Kensi. Hoorah for the holiday season. I’ll take holiday gifts like this any time!

As always, your review is spot on. I usually like the episodes that focus on Callen and Sam and this one didn't disappoint. These two are polar opposites in personality and experience and yet they are brothers. I couldn't stop thinking about the quote, "the grass is always greener" through this whole episode. Callen and Sam each wishing their upbringing was a little more like the others.
ReplyDeleteThese two characters and actors play off each other so well.
Hi Tonya,
ReplyDeletegreat review as always. I really like this episode, it was little bit of
everything, and I like that.
I really
like episodes where facts about the past of the characters are revealed and I liked
to know more about Sam's relationship with his father. I loved the conversation
between Callen and Sam. I agree with Callen, Hetty is both a rock and a feather.
I laughed a
lot when they talked about his daughter’s birthday party, I found myself
imagining Sam with each of these costumes.
Another of
the moments that made me laugh in this episode were the scenes of Kensi and
Deeks, they are so funny. I love them!!!
Now about
the trailers about the next episode, I'm anxious to see the new love of Callen,
and more than that I want to see a Densi kiss. I hope it's a kiss, because
otherwise I will be very angry, sad and disappointed at the same time. But at
the same time I hope there is a story to the kiss and not be so suddenly
because otherwise can be a confirmation that the producers are hiding something
about their relationship!!
That's all
for today, Byeee :) <3
Thanks, Ann! I thought it was a nice episode, too. It's great how Sam and Callen are so different and yet are so close. I loved seeing Callen, who grew up without a father, encouraging Sam and making him realize what a great thing he had. That was a nice touch. The characters and actors are really wonderful together!
ReplyDeleteHi Catarina! This episode really did have a little bit of everything, which was perfect. It was great hearing what you loved this week. I'm with you - I love episodes when the characters' pasts are revealed, and it was nice knowing more about Sam's relationship with his father. Wasn't it fun imagining Sam with all those costumes? And the Kensi and Deeks scene was so funny! That was a great trailer for next week. It got us so excited! For Callen's love and a potential Densi kiss! I hope they don't just tease us with that kiss. Good point about hoping there is a story to the kiss! Yes, I hope so. Can't wait to see. :)
ReplyDeleteHi!
ReplyDeleteFirst: sorry for my english: it's not my first language.
Great review. It's always interesting when something from the past of any character is revealed, not only Callen, Sam, Kensi and Deeks, but also from the rest of the team. This time it was Sam. And it was very interesting. I also like the 'conflict', when Sam thinks about how far can you push a kid. And as you say, his pushing by his dad was different from that of the killer. And his costume for his daughter: Sully! I want him see in these costume (or one of the others that Callen mentioned).
I liked when Callen said to Sam, that the pushing of his dad was also a form of how he cared about his son. And also when he said: “Sometimes it takes a rock and a feather for balance.” and that Hetty is both. I agree: she is both! ^^
Kensi and Deeks are always funny. An intereting analysing of Deeks form of flirting with Kensi.
One thing that I also liked: when Deeks said that his friend is Monty. ^^
And as a Neric-shipper I enjoyed the kiss on the cheek. And also that mentioned you it. I read another review, and there were no mention of Kensi's and Deeks' interaction nor the Neric-kiss on the cheek . So thank you! ^^
The preview is interesting. Also if there will be a Densi-kiss. Shane Brennan teased, that there will be somethin for everybody: Callen in love, Sam and his children, and something with Densi. At that moment I asked myself: What is with Eric & Nell? Or Hetty & Granger. They are also main characters, there are not only four. So I await the christmas-episode and hope for what we might see. :D
I Love the show and I enjoy season 6. ^^
Liked the beginning. Liked the end but everything else was kind of boring.
ReplyDeleteThe banter and humor were great but most of that was at the beginning and the end.
Best comment was the one Sam made when he called Kensi and Deeks Lady and the tramp and Callan goofy.
I can't figure out what it is that people like about this season. I have tried but it just isn't living up to the bidding. I could go back to season 3 or 4 and pick almost any episode ,watch it and find a reason to enjoy the entire episode but so far this season I cannot do that.
Hi Tonya! I love your take on Deeks' flirting M.O. You can tell how much he enjoyed his little ruse at the front door of his friend's house. (BTW, how good looking was that guy?? Gave Deeks a run for his money.) As a Densi fan, I'm obviously focused on their scenes, but the rest of the characters were fun too.
ReplyDeleteSo the scene at the end when Sam said it killed his father than he (Sam) went Navy instead of Marine—I realize Sam is a Navy Seal, but haven't I heard him talk like a marine? Is the "never leave anyone behind" both a Marine and Seal thing? (I am completely ignorant of the military world.)
While I found the episode enjoyable overall, I'd only give it a B (okay, maybe a B+ for the hot guy ratio). It just didn't quite live up to my (possibly unreasonable) expectations of this series. I'm heartened to hear the show did well in the ratings though. It's about time!
Now it's time for the really important stuff: next week's Densi moment!! Will they or won't they? I still want to find a fan who may have seen them shooting that scene! :D I leave for New York the day after that episode, so if I don't get to comment on your review, I'll be sure to tweet at you. Fingers are crossed!!!
Thanks, Monika. I think your English is great! I wish we could see a picture of Sam in that costume. Wasn't it nice to see Callen encouraging Sam like that? He offered a nice perspective to Sam since he grew up without a father.
ReplyDeleteOh, yeah, I forgot about Deeks saying his best friend was Monty. I loved that! Very funny!
Of course I had to mention the Neric kiss. It was so sweet! I'm glad you were happy to see it in the review - and Kensi and Deeks' interaction. How could other reviewers not mention any of this? These are all important things. Lol. ;)
The preview really does look interesting - and sounds like it, too, from the Shane Brennan teases. I really hope there is something for everyone, including the fans of Eric, Nell, Hetty and Granger. We can't leave them out!
Thanks for your great comments!
That WAS such a great comment about the Lady and the Tramp and Goofy! Soooo funny!
ReplyDeleteI understand your thoughts on the episode being boring - and the season. Though I've enjoyed many things IN the episodes, overall the season has been pretty insignificant. I wish we had more episodes that really felt important! Fingers crossed for the rest of the season! :)
Deeks really did seem to enjoy his little ruse, didn't he? And uuummmmm, yes, that guy was pretty good looking! :)
ReplyDeleteI hate to say that I'm not a military expert, either. But when I googled "never leave anyone behind," it seemed to be an Army credo. Well.... I'm sure it crosses different branches of the military. (I'm offering so much perspective here, aren't I? Haha.)
I also think I'd give the episode a B or B+ (hot guy ratios always bring up the grade ;) ) As for ratings, I hate to say that I wasn't as heartened at the news because the Blacklist is on hiatus (and State of Affairs isn't that good) and Gotham (though it airs earlier) didn't air this week so really NCIS:LA was only competing against a new episode of Castle. But that is still a fete to beat Castle so that was good!
Yes, onto important stuff - next week. I hope as you fly to New York you are audibly giggling the whole way because the episode was so filled with wonderful Densi moments. And I hope people around you have to ask you what in the world you're so happy about! That's how good I HOPE next week's episode is! :) (No high expectations or anything.)
I didn't find the episode boring at all. in this day and age with so much domestic violence in the news, I found the episode very relevant. some of the other episodes, the whole Hetty investigation, a lot more disappointing and boring. Not to be over analytical but with the new time and day I think the network is saving the best for after the winter break. so far this season there has been a lot of backstory and introspection with all the characters. could that be to get the new viewers familiar with the characters? there has also been a lot of bread crumbs dropped. I really believe the 2nd half of the season we'll see a lot of action and a lot of answers.
ReplyDeleteGood point about the reduced competition this past Monday, but like you said, beating Castle is still a feat.
ReplyDeleteHave you seen the extended promo for Humbug? http://www.ncislamagazine.com/ncis-los-angeles-humbug-extended-preview/
Still no actual confirmation, but it definitely looks like a real kiss is coming. Then again, it's NCIS LA, so you really can't be sure until after it happens. (And even when it does, you have to double check.)
Hope you have a lovely weekend. (At least when it's over, we have something to look forward to!)
Great review and overall I thought the episode was good for the character development with Sam..
ReplyDeleteI think with the last 2 episodes...the writers have tried to show us a softer side of Sam by showing him talking about his kids.
The only thing that really bothered me...was when Deeks was threatening to hurt the kid.
It seemed...very un Deeks like..and I guess it bothered other Deek fans..so much so that the writer of the episode felt compelled to tweet that Deeks did it...only because he knew the mother was watching the interrogation on screen and Deeks said that to scare her enough to give up some info the team needed..
I thought that might have been Deeks reason...but...It would have been cool if we had actually seen a scene beforehand..letting the viewer in on things..
It was poorly edited..making Deeks needlessly come out looking like a bad guy. ..which was doubly unfortunate...as that episode was on the same day.. as the senate's report on the use of torture by the CIA.
We have often seen the team use the threat of either long prison terms. or threats of physical harm... to help pry info from suspects....but we would all like to think..that when push came to shove...none of them wouldn't actually go that far..
But....I'm not so sure about that.
Because last season...we saw Deeks dark side come out..when in Spoils of War he lost it and threatened to shoot the old blind guy and briefly water boarded him ( (before stopping himself )...after Deeks saw the photo that looked like Kensi was dead.
Also Deeks himself admitted to Kensi...that his Max Gentry undercover alias...is not a very nice guy
And who can forget... that a young Deeks once fire a loaded shotgun.at his own father.
It does seem like there just might be a much darker side to Deeks usual sunny and funny personality.. that he keeps buried & locked away... only to let that side of himself out...when it's needed.
In an earlier episode this year...we saw Kensi telling Deeks..that she only wanted Deeks to see the best side of her.
That reminded me...of one episode when Deeks was playing Max Gentry and about to go into a pool room....he told Kensi to stay in the car...because he didn't want her to see that side of him.
It seems like there are a lot of layers to the core group of the team..that the writers need to explore further.
.Lastly regarding the potential kiss...like every true blue Densi fan..I hope to heck it happens....but...I will believe it..when I see it!!
The X-Mas themed episode is called "Humbug". afterall....and it would not shock or surprise me..if ol Shane BOOM BOOM Brennan... decided to play Grooge or The Grinch that stole the Densi kiss!!
I just have this nagging feeling..that the kiss...IF it happens... just won't go down..as well,,,,as Densi fans want or hope for.
To me..it feels like..Brennan sees himself as Lucy...and in his eyes...Densi and their "thing" is a football...and Densi fans are the ever hopeful but painfully naive... Charlie Browns.
And we all know..how things turned out for Charlie Brown when it came time to kick that ball!!! :(
Anyway..Ill be keeping my fingers that my Densi spidey senses are all wrong.. and Brennan & Co won;t spoil things this holiday season...by playing Grinch's with that potential Densi kiss!
We might have a big clue that the kiss is indeed going to happen..because one of the show's executive producers..John Peter Kousakis tweeted out this cryptic message on Dec 13.
ReplyDelete"...is a kiss....JUST a kiss?"
Not sure...what he's trying to hint at here ...is he saying...that kiss is Deeks way of telling Kensi..that he's in love with her....and it's going to lead to bigger and bolder things between Deeks & Kensi from here on out!
Or does it mean...something else entirely?
Like maybe.....there once again..just.being undercover as a couple..so...the kiss is another pretend one?
Kinda reminds me..of the scene in Frozen Lake...when Kensi handed Deeks her father's knife..and Deeks told Kensi.. that he never had a girl give him her knife before..so he asked Kensi..if that meant they were "official"
Kensi simply replied.. "You know..sometimes a knife...is just a knife."
Maybe that kiss...ends up meaning something very different..to Deeks versus Kensi's train of thought.....
Hopefully Densi fans will get a better understanding of what Kousakis was getting at...after Mondays episode airs!
My fingers have been crossed all week about that damned kiss! I fear it'll be just an unsatisfying quick smooch, BUT beggars can't be choosers. I'll take what I can get! Yes, I did see Kousakis' tweet, and I'm pretty sure he wouldn't have done that if it wasn't going to happen. He might get death threats from the Densi crowd otherwise.
ReplyDeleteRegarding the love scene clip, I think it would be too confusing to the fans if it were introduced now. That said, in my mind, it had to have happened—because what the hell else would have happened after they left that restaurant at the end of Recovery? Pizza and Netflix?? GAH!
lol the way Brennan and his crew are so reluctant to show any kind of physical affection on the show it wouldn't surprise me if pizza and Netflex was considered as a mind blowing date in Boom Boom Brennan,s mind!! Like u said they better show a kiss of some sort or Densi fans will be so disappointed and frustrated again!!
ReplyDeleteThe show airs 2 hours earlier tonight where I live but alas I will be working otherwise I would have given u a heads up whether to get ready to cheat loudly or throw something at your TV!! lol
I'll be watching at 9pm CST. Let me know if you want a heads up. :) If not, I suggest you NOT go on social media.
ReplyDeleteI just hope you enjoyed the kiss and that it actually happened and they didn't pull a bate and not kiss deal on Densi fans! :)
ReplyDeletelol I peeked at the poll asking what they thought of tonight's episode..and was really happy & I gotta admit...relieved.... when I saw that Awesome was the landslide winner!!
ReplyDeleteBut...I stopped myself from reading any of the comments so I could be surprised at what happened regarding that "potential " kiss scene!
( Course...in the "You can't please everybody category" I wasn't all that surprised when I noticed that 3 people felt the need to poop on everybody's else's feel good parade........with 2 of these sad folks voting for Poor & 1 lost soul. for Awful!
Im going to guess that.these 3 folks.are either mad cuz they've been naughty this year...and just know that Santa is going to give them all a big lump of goal ..AGAIN.. in their X Mas stockings...or.....
they.are.probably huge Granger fans..who were mighty po'd..they only saw a few seconds of the show's resident Grinch!!
Ok...back to that amazing kiss....excuse... me...I meant..kisses!! :)
After watching that kiss.......a few times...all I gotta say is....I owe Boom Boom Brennan an apology....cuz I doubted him....and thought he would do something to mess that scene up...
Instead...he & the others powers that be....surprised & proved me wrong tonight... ....as they really delivered & came thru on a grand scale for Densi fans!!!
We not only saw & got some kisse(s)..emphasis on the s part....but the official & very public start to Densi!
( I'm thinking.. that Sam & Callen will not tell Hetty or Granger what happened at the rink & keep Deeks & Kensi new status...a secret among the team..
....but knowing Hetty's resourcefulness.....she will know about them being a couple..and their plans to vacation together with Monty as chaperone......before Deeks & Kensi get their skates off!! lol )
Course...we can expect & assume...it's not going to be ..all smooth sailing for our fave Tv couple...and there will be bumpy roads up ahead...but...thats cool.,
... it wouldn't be true to the stop & go history of Densi.....if everything went as well for them...as Densi fans wanted or hoped for!
Until then...Im going to sit back & enjoy the fact... that Densi is now and forever more...front & center..and it's going to be fun & interesting..to see what storylines the writers come up for them.
Once again...I want to tip my hat and raise a glass to Boom Boom Brennan......for a terrific X Mas themed episode & for giving Densi fans everywhere... such a fantastic gift this holiday season!!! :)
I certainly did!
ReplyDeleteWell said! Yeah, I'm guilty of watching that scene 2or 3 times (or 8 or 10...). I'm so glad they didn't give us a cliffhanger. We really needed a nicely packaged, tied up, HAPPY ending. I'd love to write more, but I'm about to fall asleep. Love this show! Great "chatting" with you. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's very nice chatting to you and Im also very pleased that they didn't leave Densi fans hanging before they took their mid season break.
ReplyDeleteInstead Brennan & co.. decided to play Santa...and gave Densi what we have all been waiting patiently to see with our on own eyes & hear said outloud ... resulting in huge smiles and happy hearts over the rest of this X Mas season!
lol 8 or 10 times huh.. well my guess is...you'll be adding to that total...while they are on hiatus!!
I just hope you don't wear out your poor TV ..before the show comes back! ;)
Late in replying but interesting theory about CBS saving the best episodes for after the winter break & dropping a lot of crumbs for new viewers. I hadn't even thought about that but you may be right about their approach. I really hope (after such a great episode with Humbug) that we have lots more great ones to come in the second half of the season! It would be wonderful!
ReplyDeleteOut of town for a few days so just responding to last week's comments. :) You totally made me laugh when you say "it's NCIS LA, so you really can't be sure until after it happens. (And even when it does, you have to double check.)" Lol. So, so true, sadly. LMAO right now!
ReplyDeleteHey Tonya...I was very happy to be wrong...and glad that Ol Boom Boom made sayre every Densi fan wishes came true this week!!
ReplyDeletePS: If you tell us you went snowboarding while you were away and saw a tall handsome & shaggy haired & Nordic fellow with flaring nostrils..followed closely down the ski hill by his trusty and even shaggier hair looking mutt.,..your gonna make a lot of folks jealous!! lol :)
Sometimes it's good to be wrong! ;) And I wish I could say that was my vacation!!!
ReplyDeleteMe too!! I'd give a weeks pay...to see Monty free stylin on a snowboard!!! lol ;)
ReplyDelete
