Monroe and
Rosalee get ready for the honeymoon, but he’s
nervous, he’s afraid anything could happen any moment against them. And he’s
right when, later in the episode, Rosalee receives a threatening phone call and a hanged animal on her door. Apparently, someone
doesn’t want them to be together.
Elsewhere, with
Trubel gone, Nick and Juliette come back to their ‘normal’ life as a happy
couple, while Viktor and
Adalind work together in order to track Nick’s mother, Kelly, and hope to find
Diana too - just a small scene with them even this week. How long do we have to wait till we'll see Adalind back in Portland?
The Wesen
of the week involves a doctor named Diego, who's been bitten by a strange mosquito in the Dominican Republic. Back home, the doctor turns into a Chupacabra and attacks
and kills a man and his dog.
Nick, Hank and Wu are called on the crime scene
where a witness says he’s sure who the killer is: the Chupacabra. At this
point, Wu is ready to chase a vampire or a werewolf – and I don’t know if it’s
just the stress to speak for him. I’ve imagined Wu doing researches day and
night. Anyway, positive about what he's seen, Wu shows Renard something interesting: every strange murder case
are handled by Nick and Hank, leaving him behind. Sean Renard just replies “Because they see things
we can’t.” This won’t help Wu to stay away.
And since
Chupacabra is Spanish, Juliette may know something about it. Meanwhile, she’s
having a girl talk with Rosalee, telling her that she’s not pregnant. And she
took the pregnancy test three times! This sounds weird.
Soon, Nick
and Hank, with Juliette’s help, find out the Chupacabra is the original
Woeldeor, which is a Wesen who contracted a disease that is going to bring him to
death. In fact, Diego keeps turning into the creature and kills other people.
Wu tracks down a call and goes to the crime scene, only to find the doctor and
no one else around. It is
revealed that Diego and his wife are indeed both Wesens.
Finally Wu
confronts Nick and Hank about what he’s seeing and can’t explain. I liked how
he stated that he doesn’t want to be in the dark anymore – they’re a team and
he’s supposed to know what’s going on, although because he saw the books in
Nick’s roulette! When Diego keeps getting worse, Nick and Hank must intervene to stop him.
Wu is upset, and Nick can’t save him with the words “What you saw is real.” He
needs to take time to think about it. Maybe drinking doesn’t solve everything when he's forced to spend the night in a prison.
Things
couldn’t get any worse when Diego’s wife faints and turns into a Chupacabra –
there are two of them? But it’s too late for Diego. He chose death over life,
and he gets killed by Hank before he attacks Nick.
Last two
scenes shocked me: Monroe gets kidnapped by the cops who were supposed to
protect him and Rosalee, while Juliette looks herself in a mirror horrified.
She’s turning into a Hexenbeist! Is this a side effect of the spell? Or just a sign that unconsciously Nick has a thing for Hexenbeists?
