I'm ignorant but sorry but it the show does well wouldn't it be bad for OUAT? Wouldn't it get OUAT even more in danger because it'd get it to be lower in the channel's TOP program's? Please explain me how can it do good to OUAT...
No, it's not bad for OUAT. It is not a bubble show so it is in no danger of cancellation. The only thing that can hurt Once Upon a Time are its own ratings. Galavant and OUAT aren't even the same format - one is a half-hour show and the other runs for a full hour. If Galavant does well in the ratings and gets renewed it wouldn't be a candidate to replace OUAT. ABC would either continue to air the series during the OUAT hiatus or they'd move the show to a different night.
oh got it. I know OUAT is in no danger yet but final ratings were not so high so it has to watch out. I hope it bounces back up in March. I want season 5 so bad. I LOVE the show. A cancellation would be a shame. If ABC cancels I hope another channel picks it up to end it. I don't think ABC will cancel thou unless ratings get to 0.4 in 4B.
Because there are so many other lower-rated shows on ABC, Once Upon a Time will have no trouble getting a fifth season. At this point, I highly doubt the network would cancel the show without giving OUAT time to craft a proper ending. Unless the show's ratings really drop off during the second half of this season, another renewal is probably a lock.
Most shows usually see a drop, especially in the demo, toward the end of the season. Once Upon a Time will probably drop too but I doubt it will drop enough to put the show in danger.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I hope this show does well in the ratings, if only to keep (or add) viewers to OUAT's time slot while the show is on hiatus.
ReplyDeleteWell, that's a spoiler about the princess. I hope the show is as cute as it seems and does well in the ratings, so they'll order more episodes.
