Merlin star Bradley James has landed the title role in Damien, Lifetime’s straight-to-series drama followup to 20th Century Fox’s classic horror film, The Omen. In his TV directing debut, Shekhar Kapur (Elizabeth), will helm and executive produce the first episode.
Produced by Fox TV Studios, the six-epsiode Damien follows the adult life of Damien Thorn (James), the mysterious child from the 1976 film who has grown up, seemingly unaware of the satanic forces around him. Haunted by his past, Damien must now come to terms with his true destiny — that he is the Antichrist, the most feared man throughout the ages.

It will be good to see James in something new! This could be interesting or simply horrible. We'll see it.
ReplyDeleteYes!!! Bradley James is the best!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is cool. I'm really excited for this show, but also wary. If Lifetime canceled WoEE because it didn't fit that closely with their "brand" what luck will this have?
ReplyDeleteAlthough, there is a part of me hoping they'll change their minds about WoEE and air these back-to-back. Yes I know how ridiculous it sounds. Let me have my dream
I'm so happy for him. He's such a talented actor.
ReplyDeleteomg, awesome bloody news!!
ReplyDeleteI missed him on-screen!Welcome back!
ReplyDeleteThis is going to be a great show. If only they would bring the whole cast of Merlin onto the new show!
ReplyDeleteDamien seems entirely off brand for Lifetime which might mean the network is changing their brand entirely.
ReplyDeleteI would hope so.
ReplyDeleteSupposed to be boycotting Lifetime after they cancelled their best show, and one of my favourite series in a long time. But this show has had me interested since it was announced, and Bradley's casting is going to make it difficult. Guess I might have to make an exception.
ReplyDeleteSort of interested in this show. Will give it a try.
ReplyDeleteI've missed him so much! But I don't know if I'm gonna watch this, I'm not a big fan of this kind of horror story.
ReplyDeleteI will be so glad to see Bradley ontv again! It's been too long since Merlin andhhe's a talented actor.
