The network is teaming with uber-producer Scooter Braun and Tony nominee Todd Graff to develop a music drama, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
The untitled entry, which has received a script commitment, is set in the ever-evolving world of music, entertainment and social media. It chronicles the rise of Gary Graham, a brilliant young manager with the talent and ambition to shake up the industry, which is a world gone viral: where stars are minted overnight, relationships are constantly tested and careers can be made or crushed with one perfectly placed phone call. Will he manage to stay true to himself while outmaneuvering the roadblocks put in place by clients, lovers and colleagues? It's a fine line.
The drama will feature original songs and cameos from some of pop culture's biggest names.
Graff (Broadway's Baby) will pen the script and executive produce the Warner Bros. Television entry alongside Tony Krantz via his Flame Ventures production banner. Braun, who manages Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Psy and Carly Rae Jepsen, among others, will also executive produce via his SB Films unit. Flame's Drew Comins and SB's Danny Rose are set as co-EPs.

This sounds good
ReplyDeleteThis should be interesting.
ReplyDeleteCan someone please tell the other shows that are being devolved for the Cw or at least a link? Is there any news about another superhero show on the CW
ReplyDeleteThey are devolving a third DC show.Go to Futon Critic for the CW shows in development
ReplyDeleteI can't find it?
ReplyDeleteGo to FutinCritic,go to shows A to Z tab then to DevWatch(shows in delopment or use the filter to select a network, genre if show ect and either of those should bring up the five cw shows in devlopment,
ReplyDeleteOne is this music show, one is about Houdini, one is called Cheerleader Death Squad about spies.
http://www.thefutoncritic.com/devwatch.aspx?series=&network=cw&daycode=&statuscode=1&genre=&studio=
ReplyDeleteNo thanks.
ReplyDeleteI would've preferred another superhero spinoff. Both Arrow and Flash have good ratings so why bother with this dramas with crappy ratings?
ReplyDeleteBecause CW dosent want all superhero shows or all genre shows!!Pedowitz has that twice that CW is becoming too oversatuerated with genre shows.A network needs diversity & variety in programming to sucseed and survive. Also, not e drone likes superhero shows.A network has to have more than one type of show targeted at one type of audience
ReplyDeleteWhat DC show? Is it a superhero show?
ReplyDeleteI just can not see this, perhaps I will be surprised but if it goes the way of Glee or Nashville, count me out
ReplyDeleteThanks!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure.I just it was a DC show
ReplyDeleteSounds like glee.. but just out of high school
ReplyDeleteSounds low rated
ReplyDeleteWhy? I really hope that CW doesnt cancel the 100 to make room for this.
ReplyDeleteBecause last year, The Tomorrow People was one property they were hoping would at least match the ratings success Arrow has, and it was as much of a superhero show in itself without the tights.
ReplyDeleteBetter to vary your line-up or risk oversaturation of the same thing every year with no guarantee of sustaining ratings.
Well this is more Nashville-like than Glee where it was initially set in high school. Could be interesting, depending on how the pilot that comes out of this turns out.
ReplyDeleteI give every CW pilot a try as a rule,so i will check it out in any case.
