“We are so happy for Emily,” showrunner Stephen Nathan says in an exclusive statement to TVLine. “As before, rather than try to hide this from a sophisticated audience, we are integrating her pregnancy into the show.
“Booth and Brennan, like most couples today, will continue to work, play and catch murderers — maybe they’re unique in this respect — as their family grows,” Nathan continues. “As with most new situations that have arisen in 10 years, we feel that this can only enhance the show. Although I’m sure there will be a vocal group of fans eager to attack me, I hope they will be pleasantly surprised by what we have in store.”

LOL, I love that all the producers said repeatedly they're still thinking about it and Emily just comes right out and says yes.

Oh i didn't see that coming!. Oh wait literally everybody did lol.
ReplyDeleteGood because trying to write around it would have been way to clunky and obvious they would have had Bones sitting behind a desk or boxes all day to disguise her belly. Plus you never see their daughter on the show much anyway so another kid will just be in the background like most of the kids on the show like Angela and Hodgins son. They really only need the kid actors for the rare kid centric scenes or moments.

ReplyDeleteCongrats to ED. So can we expect another abbreviated season like her first pregnancy? I'm pretty sure this type of news/publicity (the day before 200th episode), etc. only strengthens S11 - not that I have much doubt that it will be renewed.

ReplyDeleteOkay, based on what Stephen Nathan said, I can't shake the feeling Booth and Brennan will have twins this time around. They need to switch it up after three single babies and that would be a surprise.
