The last action packed episode ended with Jason and Medea vanishing in a rock slide after Ariadne shot her step-mother. With all the characters now trapped underground in the ancient necropolis they must face an army of the undead as they battle for survival. Can Jason trust the mysterious Medea, and what will they learn about each other as they try to escape the labyrinth of caves in order to reunite with his friends?
Hercules and Pythagoras’ double act continues to grow throughout the story, providing the scant humour this week. I have been enjoying the recent dramatic turn in direction, but I know that I am not alone in missing the comedy that it used to have too. Some lighter moments would be a welcome change at times, and with Addy and Emms’ chemistry working so well here I am hoping they will bring that back in the future. There is some light at the end of the tunnel for Jason and Ariadne shippers though that does help to lift some of the darkness in the overall plot.
