Is John Barrowman being fit for a mask?
Oh God Vertigo is back. Fine if he has to come back can you at least not make him whistle? He looked like a cartoon villain. It was so ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteThis goes into my theory on what "Canaries" is about. The new Count Vertigo inject either Laurel or when she's Black Canary and that's where Laurel starts to hallucinate over Sara, with the two fighting over what exactly Laurel is trying to accomplish as Black Canary.
ReplyDeleteuh oh bad news for Oliver and his family and friends as Werner is one of the few villains that actually knows his identity
ReplyDeleteOMG I love this theory SO much! Marc revealed that Sara wasn't going to be in a flashback so a hallucination makes so much sense. Especially since Laurel's identity (the theme of this season) is whether or not she's her sister or her own person. I'm guessing it's going to be a similar scene like Oliver/ Tommy from 2x09.
ReplyDeletecould be, there's gotta be a reason why Ra's let merlyn go in the first place
ReplyDeletedoes he? the drug showed Oliver himself, Count Vertigo didn't see him he just fought him didn't he
ReplyDeleteCount Vertigo was the one who attacked Oliver and Felicity on their date because he was able to place a tracker on Oliver. So at the very least he can narrow it down to the few people at the restaurant that night...But for some reason I think he did guess it was Oliver, unless I'm wrong
ReplyDeleteWhile you can't really say Sara is Laurel's greatest fear, I think Laurel's worst fear is just much more philosophical and Sara only represents as what Laurel has to choose on what to do with her life as that is Laurel's worst fear at the moment. With The Arrow, it was Oliver Queen and with Laurel, it'll be what her future is going to be: is she going to be herself or is she desperately just trying to be Sara 2.0.
ReplyDeleteSo many great things happening. New dark archer costume. I did not expect count vertigo coming back this soon.
ReplyDeleteOH SON OF A..., i'm so so so sorry
ReplyDeleteHey.. Not complaining.. It's all good.. I don't care that much about Blacklist any way :).. I was getting bored this season. That's why I decided on binge watching... Please don't apologize.
ReplyDeleteOn other note I would like vertigo to go to The Flash and let us have a prison break alumni meet.
I don't think he knows. He knew that the Arrow was there not Oliver Queen and Oliver left immediately after the explosion and didn't talk to anyone so I don't think anyone knows he was there. Unless Vertigo can get the restaurant's reservations log and find Oliver's name in it, which I think the police might actually have it but if they did why didn't they talk to Oliver after the explosion? That's going to bother me now :\
ReplyDeleteVery plausible theory, I like it.
ReplyDeleteI think Laurel's fear is that she can't measure up to Sara or is that she is going to die like her.
ReplyDeleteLOL might as well right basically every cast member of that show is there
ReplyDeleteI agree 100%. She wants to honor her sister. I think her biggest fear is not living up to that or dying.
ReplyDeleteWell, if we're being realistic and honest, we all know that's going to happen, since Malcolm is all but Oliver's nemesis anymore, they'll definitely have to introduce a new one, so I suppose Count Vertigo would kind of fit with that while Malcolm becomes our awesome friend xD
ReplyDeleteAnd again, it really makes me laugh how this ENTIRE season up to now has been about EVERYTHING and EVERYONE, specially everyone getting masks and their new superhero identity, while the one person I'm still waiting to actually grow a pair, realize what an insane bastard her father is and stand by her brother, is just back on the background, being useless and just appearing a few seconds per episode, and why? Only to be on the phone with her DJ-Douchebag? And so that when the midseason finale has happened and gone, she'll suddenly join Malcolm again or something? Like this entire interview is practically again of how much they freaking love John Barrowman in every single way, which I'm still utterly sure makes them look at him completely different than actually thinking of him as Malcolm, which is why Malcolm has been running free for a season and a half now, and now also with Oliver's permission after all... They should just admit already that whatever dark plans Malcolm obivously has and is going to put into play, they're ALWAYS going to keep him around as some weirdly viewed "great" guy in their eyes or something. 'All our villains are the heroes of their own stories.' Yeah sure, which is why you guys make it come off more and more like all the people Malcolm killed don't matter at all, that his so called little bit of caring for Thea does away with all of that, and that we should believe that once she stands up to him like Tommy, he won't knock her out and leave her to die or something. But again, like the previous interview about Malcolm, in which they said taht Malcolm was such an amazingly honorable guy that would never spoil the secret of Oliver, yeah, sure...
ReplyDeleteIm sorry, I had to get that off my chest. After the whole interviews before the season began, and now her being in the background, Malcolm being put down as some kind of amazing good guy that wouldn't hurt a fly and is like some weird father for Oliver too, and like I said EVERY single person that has even just showed up this season, getting actual character development, like Laurel getting a FREAKING trilogy practically. Well, it's just frustrating x'D
See, I'm on the fence when it comes to Laurel's worst fear. I think she's at the stage, where, while she's trying to make people like Ted and Ollie think that Laurel knows exactly what she's doing, I think she truly doesn't and doesn't really know if she's trying to become like Sara and herself, because even the seasonal arc for Laurel is "Am I Laurel Lance or am I my sister?"
ReplyDeleteHis thug placed a tracker on The Arrow. I mean, they could have looked through everyone who was at that restaurant and narrow it down to when The Arrow showed up as well, but for right now, Count Vertigo shouldn't know that Ollie is The Arrow.
ReplyDeleteI would like Peter to return, I knew we didn't see the last of him. And whoever is coming on with a mask better be a good character. Someone worth being introduced. (If not a returning character).
ReplyDeleteI have a super bad feeling that the reason they stuck Thea in the background so much again was to make her Sara's killer and surprise everyone.
ReplyDeleteI really, really hope I'm wrong because that would be so dumb.
It would be dumb! Because it would destroy any possibility of her ever joining team Arrow and ever actually really becoming Speedy, because I'm pretty sure she isn't a killer. Even Roy isn't exactly a killer because it was the Mirakuru, having her actually decide to kill Sara because freaking Malcolm asked for it would just be them ruining her character completely...
ReplyDeleteI just don't believe it can be that, but I am worried that when Oliver goes missing or is presumed dead or whatever, Malcolm is going to "recruit" her again, because I'm still not sure as who she sees him... A part still seems like she somehow thinks that Malcolm is the Arrow or something. They made pretty clear that Malcolm is way a too honorable and great guy to spoil Ollie's secret to Thea or whatever >.<
I just REALLY hope they'll get over themselves, STOP trying to stall having her become Speedy as much as possible with the dumb Malcolm storyline and just have her see reason for f's sake... I miss how close Ollie and her were for a moment in S2, how much they could be it again. So that when EVERY SINGLE person on this show has had their moment after the midseason finale, that she actually gets ONE real episode, not another Corto Maltese one, where she does actually see reason and where it is actually development of her toward team Arrow, because they promised us that this would be her season, and all they've done is make her a hypocrite, purposely make people doubt her and then bring in that douchebag guy for some reason... We get it, you want to "surprise" us, well, at this point it would be a bigger surprise if they just stopped putting every freaking person first.
You're right, right now she is trying to find an outlet for her anger and trying to keep Sara's memory alive and avenge her death, but she doesn't know how. She can't be Sara and she can't find her own way. I hope Ted can help her with that.
ReplyDeleteEither Ted, or, as my theory of what "Canaries" revolves around, she finds some peace on how to move forward by speaking to "Sara".
ReplyDeleteWell it would be very weird if she had a conversation with Sara since she will be seeing Vertigo as Sara (remember he didn't say anything to Oliver when he was him), but maybe the status in which Sara will appear will be enlightening to her just like When Oliver saw the worst version of himself.
ReplyDeleteI don't it HAS to be Count Vertigo. I think that is one thing where the premiere failed at because it seems as if Count Vertigo had to be there for the drug to work, and if that was or is the case, the older product obviously had a better effect, but I think that won't be the case. Black Canary will get injected by the stuff and start seeing Sara everywhere, as that is her fear in a certain "form", because her worst fear, imo, is that she doesn't know who she really is anymore, whether it be herself or if she's actually just trying to be Sara 2.o.
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't have to be Vertigo but I think it has to be someone in front of her, right? So they can take the shape of her worse fears. Or is she going to see hallucinations of Sara? Maybe he changed the formula (again!). That could work if she is going to have a conversation with her, it would be a figment of her imagination. By the way, in the premiere when Vertigo used the drug on that criminal in his first scene, what was that? Are aliens that guy's worst fear?!
ReplyDeleteI'm betting on hallucinations. With the premiere, again, it seemed like it HAD to be Count Vertigo, but if I recall, the 2.5 comics had Arrow see hallucinations of Tommy, Deathstroke, Huntress and Sara.
ReplyDeleteAnd that looked like an alien, didn't it? Lol. Most random scene I've been seen in the entire series so far.
ReplyDeleteIt did? I haven't read the last 3 or 4 issues yet. mmmm interesting.
ReplyDeleteIKR?! What was that about? lol
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure it was because of the new Count Vertigo. I mean, I just read it on the Arrow wiki page, haha. Didn't read the comics myself.
ReplyDeleteGreat source lol
ReplyDeleteWell…yah, haha. I'm not too big on the tie-in comics, so I just resorted to reading it off there, lol.
ReplyDeleteI don't mind them but my problem with comics in general is that they are always written in all caps. It's really annoying.
ReplyDeleteIt's not even the technical stuff for me, lol. It's just, I'd rather see all the attention go into the shows themselves.
ReplyDeleteNaahhh. I think after next episode Malcolm is going back to the top of my shit list again.
ReplyDeleteI really hope so, but I just keep hoping to god that Thea will soon see the light too somehow... I'm also rewatching season 2 and I swear, every conversation Malcolm ha with Moira about Thea he talks about her like she's a piece of meat that belongs to him to do with how he likes... Or like she's his only toy left or something.
