Looks like the biggest bad on “Arrow” is officially returning to the fold.
The last time we saw Slade Wilson (Manu Bennett), he was imprisoned in an A.R.G.U.S. supermax prison on the island of Lian Yu, swearing to Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) that he would one day escape. We at MTV News cannot confirm whether or not the man known as Deathstroke will make good on that promise, but we can exclusively reveal that Bennett will return to the show for episode #314.
We probably won’t know for quite some time, but either way, get ready for a whole lot more Deathstroke when “Arrow” returns in 2015. (And in the meantime, let’s just bask in the glory that is the crossover episode happening this week.)

If he turns out to be Sara's killer, my face will meet my desk repeatedly.
ReplyDeleteI think we're finding out who killed Sara in 3x09 so I don't think it's him.
ReplyDeleteI so hope so.
ReplyDeleteI have suspected him for Sara's murder, especially because Malcolm knew about the Lian Yu prison so there are others who could have known. Of course, seeing Slade would be inconsistent with Sara's reaction in the roof top.
ReplyDeletePerhaps Manu is appearing in 3x09 as well, they could be keeping that a secret. You never know with this show.
ReplyDeleteI don't think it's off the table. After all the eleminated suspects, I still consider Slade the most likely to be Sara's killer.
ReplyDeleteIn 3x09, STAR labs gives Team Arrow a critical piece of evidence as to who killed Sara and then Oliver winds up in a battle with Ra's al Ghul. I don't think that's a coincidence. Ra's al Ghul being responsible for Sara's death is a little obvious at this point (though a lot of people seem to think it's Thea) but I do think it's the most logical in terms of story line.
ReplyDeleteI too think that Ra's would be too obvious. I am hoping they have something more twisty in mind. Thea couldn't have changed into a cold-blooded killer within four months.
ReplyDeleteRa's probably hired someone to do it
ReplyDeleteI don't like the Thea theory either, I agree she wouldn't just murder Sara. If Merlyn doesn't have a reason to do it, neither does Thea. Ra's is obvious but it would set up the major conflict for the second half of the season.
ReplyDeleteSweet.
ReplyDeleteIs he going to join the SS?
ReplyDeleteIm going with suicide squad episode. That's my guess. Cupid is coming back later this seaaon too...
ReplyDeleteYay! I can't wait to see Slade back in action :D
ReplyDeleteSuicide Squad, please!
ReplyDelete- Deadshot - Deathstroke - Cupid - Capt. Boomerang - Bronze Tiger
YAY!!!!
ReplyDeletewould be my best bet on how to bring Slade back. As a pard of the Squad he'd actually get to take a step into the anti-hero bin wich Deathstroke always was better suited in.
ReplyDeleteEspecially since Arrow fans demand to redeem Slade
Hell yes!
ReplyDeleteWhoooeeehoeeeww !!!
ReplyDeleteWouldn't Sara have been more surprised, shocked or whatevs if it been Slade on the roof? To me she sounded mildly surprised, but definitely not shocked.
ReplyDeleteTHIS guy, right here, is something very special that has come out of Arrow. Bennett's take on Deathstroke is one of those special portrayal's like Penguin on Gotham.
ReplyDeleteThis is incorrect. Because in 3x12, we are told that Sin plays a pivotal party in Sara's murder. There would be no reason for anyone to have a "part" if the murder is solved.
ReplyDeleteYay!!!! Sounds good! The best villain Arrow had so far IMO.
ReplyDeleteWe as the audience will know who did it, not Team Arrow, one of the producers said in an interview (can't remember where I read/heard it :( ).
ReplyDeleteI been saying that since the moment Sara died and i really hope it is him. Bc think bout of it Slade said he would take everyone he loves away from him and what better way to harden the blow then killing Sara himself.
ReplyDeleteBesides her reaction clearly tells she did not expect that person to be on the roof with her when that person is suppose to be somewhere else.
I would laugh my ass so hard if someone suggests we check on Slade only to find he escaped the prison and left a video message for oliver lol well maybe not a video message
My theory is Amanda released Slade so he can work for her on the Suicide Squad Team and Slade somehow slipped away at night killed Sara and return without no one noticing it.
What? What?... He is back... I guess a SS episode.
ReplyDeleteOhhhh mannnnn I've been waiting for this since the finale!! And don't you DARE bring up Shado's name!! But yeah i'm hoping for another visit to the supermax! Oliver having that talk with him behind bars was soooo intense. I loved it. Very powerful scene. "You helped me become a hero Slade....thank you." Ewwww that burned so much! HA! Loved it.
ReplyDeleteI really don't care if he's redeemed. He's Deathstroke. He's kind of a f*cking monster.
ReplyDeleteIt would be in character. But he can't use a bow. Plus Slade wouldn't hide it. He'd make Oliver watch. No way it's him. More likely Ra's was involved.
ReplyDeleteThere's no point in an investigation if a killer's been found.
ReplyDeleteSo we could very well see Slade Wilson. I don't mind that, just as long as Team Arrow doesn't find out either.
ReplyDeleteI kinda wish Barry could for five seconds, just so Slade could react.
ReplyDeleteHim or Malcolm. I'm good with either having the title.
ReplyDeleteWorking for Ra's. He's done so in the comics. So I'm wondering.
ReplyDeleteThat would be funny.
ReplyDeleteAnd maybe punch Slade 50 times in the balls and or kiddies and stomach. He's awesome and all (like fifth favourite comic villain) but dude killed Moira and tried to kill all of Starling he deserves to get punched in the bean bag.
ReplyDeleteHe did? Hm... So he might have escaped from Lian Yu (or Waller released him for some reason?) soon after Team Arrow imprisoned him, he somehow made it to Nanda Parbat, LoA tought him to use a bow during the 5 month hiatus. In Nanda Parbat he met Sara again, they became some kind of friends (very unlikely but who knows). That's why she wasn't too surprised to see him at the roof. And it explains the black arrows. Weird...
ReplyDeleteOk, two winners then. :)
ReplyDeleteNow I'm going to have a two day coercive Arrow/Flash-STV-hiatus to keep me crossover-spoilerfree...
I doubt he did it.
ReplyDeleteI'd have to disagree. A guy getting punched in the jewels, is just as bad as a girl getting a titty twister. It's just wrong. But on another note, as long as he doesn't mention Shado's name i'm good. I just hope his and Oliver's next encounter will be as electrifying as their last.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to seeing Slade again and I wonder if he'll be a friend or a foe.
ReplyDelete... We do? Since when? Did I miss an Arrow fan memo on this? I miss all the good memos.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I feel like if ARGUS let Deathstroke be anywhere that's not an underground cell on a remote island, Oliver's going to have things to say. And not complimentary ones.
Yeah, but at least I know that Olicity - or Lauriver (Lauliver? I don't know) - is a thing; this I didn't know anybody wanted. Like at all. When did this start happening? Also, people are super forgiving. And yay, pagers!
ReplyDeleteAnd I don't know. I mean, ARGUS will do what they think they need to, they always do, but they seem to have a sort of "You don't bother me, I won't bother you" thing going on with the Arrow, and this feels like unnecessarily poking the bear. I feel like they'd need a pretty good motivation to risk the guy who almost unleashed a bulked up super army on the world - that they almost leveled a city to try to kill - getting loose and the Arrow's never-ending wrath at the same time.
