Ooohh, a Captain Cold and Heat Wave sighting!! What a nice surprise :D And LOL at Cisco's reaction to shirtless Felicity. So freaking excited for Flarrow tomorrow! It's going to be unforgettable.
I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine...... No! I'm not! I'm so not fine, I'm far away from being fine, these episodes need to be here NOW
Barry, I'm starting to hate you a little, what's going on with you? Every time I see a new scene; even the ones in which you are not infected; you are being very cocky and borderline obnoxious! I don't like this. Seriously dial down the confidence a little.
AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL Diggle "man that's not freaking you out?!" and Oliver and Barry "we can talk about you giving your enemies silly codenames later", "Like over coffee with Deathstroke and Hunrtress" LMAO and whoa Captain Cold and Heat Wave, did they just call Barry "The Scarlet Speedster" AWESOME!!! but i kind of don't like that one because it feels kind of girly
I know!! *_* The biggest flaw of Flash, at least for me, is that he gets very overconfident and a jerk sometimes, and that's when he loses. For someone that can even get back in time, this is a flaw that needs to stay on the character. Gld they re mantaining it!!!
Remember Peter in the latest Spiderman movies? Exactly as annoying, shows off his powers and spitefully mocks his opponements. And these movies rocked with teen audiences...
Who would want to be a speeding prick with little to no likable traits?
If you're a good person your use of your powers and the way you handle them will show that, with Barry we're actually seeing that his powers turn him into a jerk
I am ready for this. I hope by the end of this crossover Barry drinks some truth serum and realize his speed is not the be all. I hope the cocky showing off stops after this.
The creepy crazy eyes are a contributing factor of course but mostly his behavior, I don't find him charming or quirky AT ALL, and that scene with him working out shirtless at work and asking his employee out (while still shirtless) and giving her an expensive dress AND telling her that he paid so much money for it then lending her a 10 million dollars necklace, still makes me want to puke. I can't believe she didn't report him to HR!
No it's been going on for a while, his powers are starting to go to his head and he is getting way over confident and someone will end up getting hurt because of it. I still can't get over that mugging scene in the last episode.
He's getting a little overconfident, but he's not becoming an asshole. And he's still being incredibly responsible when it counts as a hero. Even then he's human. He's gonna make mistakes, he's gonna become a little too self-assured at first. It's part of his character development. But even then he's not putting off his responsibilities as a hero or being some prick (as Mac would put it).
Wow, peeps are turning on Barry pretty fast. Nerdy kid gets superpowers and tries to be a hero. What a jerk. I think in the lighthearted moments of the show Barry and Co. don't treat it as a life or death situation. Oliver is just as guilty of hubris as Barry, but he's willing to die if he's wrong. Barry has gotten hurt a couple of times, but hasn't come to grips with the pain and death and torment of the life (and probably never will on an Oliver level). But is all part and parcel of the show. The Flash is a lighter show. The Flash plays pingpong on his days off and revels in having friends for the first time. They make jokes and give people silly names. There is joy in his abilities, not pain in the demons he is trying to overcome. Because, most importantly, the Flash started off a hero--not a vigilante.
Did I say that he became one? I didn't say he is a jerk now I hate him he is an awful human being, let's kill him grrrrr lol. what I meant is that I understand that he is very excited to have these new powers and that he enjoys being able to save people, I mean who wouldn't be? But when he starts to brag about his abilities to muggers and leaving them half naked in the street (that's not OK even if it's done to a mugger) and revealing his identity to childhood bullies so he can gloat, that's when I get annoyed. First of all, he couldn't be sure that Tony won't escape from the metahumans prison one day and reveal his secret or go after Iris again or Joe, or that the mugger won't describe him to a sketch artist, his overconfidence is starting to make him reckless. Also to quote the infamous Harrison Wells "he can be a bit of a show off" and that's a character trait I do not like at all.
I didn't say you said he was a coward. But you asked what happened to him and I say, last episode he was a brave compassionate hero--even without his powers. Nothing happened to him. He's still got a good heart and strong soul. "Zappy" got you? I think we've all got to learn to take a teasing attitude with this show. Buffy talking crap while slaying was hilarious. Why does he have to coddle bad guys all the while being down on himself? Why should he be down on himself at all? Everyone should believe in themselves.
I don't get why everyone is so down on Barry. He seemed fine to me before he was comprised by that meta human. He is genuinely having fun being a super hero unlike oliver. Je is far more stable as person than oliver is. So what if he is cocky (which I don't think he is) he is powerful. I know a lot of you don't read the comics or have seen the cartoon series but the Flash is cocky a lot of the time. I laughed when he turned the silly villain name on olliver. Who the hell wants to be shot at with arrows I'm totally on Barry's side about that. It seems to me that people are turning on Barry pretty quick and the way this crossover event is going to fall with fans is who likes what show more. I'm already on Barry's side just because of the way people are turning on him.
Fair. But the guy's probably the most moral of all DC superheroes (except maybe Captain Marvel). However surprising that may be. Plus his villains are so great.
I know you didn't say (sorry if i implied that you did) it's a thought around here and it's really annoying. Fair but honestly, I really don't mind it, because it's better to me to have a moral, responsible superhero who occasionally get's too confident and reckless and learns from it than a born perfect type hero. That and he mugger I feel deserved it. Don't try to rob and threaten to kill people.
I don't get it either. I like it makes him more distinct and funny and it's a good way to keep him human. And Gustin just owns every moment. If they fight I hope Oliver wins (because honestly I'd be cool, realistically he shouldn't though) because if it could be like a Dark Knight Returns style fight (except without heart attacks or kryptonite that'd be cool).
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Barry looks like a douche in this promo.
ReplyDeleteThis looks really awesome :) Captain Cold an Heatwave!!
ReplyDeleteCan't Wait!
ReplyDeleteOoohh, a Captain Cold and Heat Wave sighting!! What a nice surprise :D And LOL at Cisco's reaction to shirtless Felicity. So freaking excited for Flarrow tomorrow! It's going to be unforgettable.

So are Wentworth and Dominic going to be in the crossover episode or is this just a tease of what is upcoming on the next episodes of flash?
ReplyDeletethat's for episode 10 "Revenge of the Rogues"
ReplyDeleteoh, i thought so too, thanks!
ReplyDeleteAWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe scene from 1x10 is the Captain Cold one?
ReplyDeleteno but he's sooo compassionate
ReplyDeleteYes, Barry is annoyingly cocky.
ReplyDelete@#$%^%@#$%^&^%$# SO EPIC!!!
ReplyDeleteI know!! *_* The biggest flaw of Flash, at least for me, is that he gets very overconfident and a jerk sometimes, and that's when he loses. For someone that can even get back in time, this is a flaw that needs to stay on the character. Gld they re mantaining it!!!
ReplyDeleteWell he is supposed to be and he was in the first few episodes, what happened to him?
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure where are they going with this but they better have a reason.
ReplyDeleteMy sentiment exactly
ReplyDeleteI don't know, I'm just trying to like him SO HARD
ReplyDeletebut he's just too high on his powerhorse for me, I hate Mary Sues like him, especially those with attitude. Supes at least is humble about his powers
maybe they think it's charming.
ReplyDeleteRemember Peter in the latest Spiderman movies? Exactly as annoying, shows off his powers and spitefully mocks his opponements.
And these movies rocked with teen audiences...
I love him but they are making it very difficult for me to like him right now.
ReplyDeleteThat's the main thing I love about Superman.
right? Superman actually teaches us a lesson not to brag with our strong suits. The Flash on this show?
ReplyDeleteLike the geek that for some reason scored the hottest chick and is now bragging with her
They think Ray Palmer is charming so I wouldn't put it past them. smh
ReplyDeleteThankfully I haven't seen the Amazing Spiderman movies.
well Palmer actually is fun, he's not a douche bragging
ReplyDeleteI haven't really loved The Flash so far, but this looks freaking awesome!
ReplyDeletei think AK might be acting out his fantasies with Barry.
ReplyDeleteWho would want to be a speeding prick with little to no likable traits?
ReplyDeleteIf you're a good person your use of your powers and the way you handle them will show that, with Barry we're actually seeing that his powers turn him into a jerk
I dont know what they are doing with Barry but even on the last episode of The Flash this over-cockiness was too much.
ReplyDeleteAlso a brief snippet from 1x09 (the football stadium).
ReplyDeleteI think a little reality sets in and the cockiness is dialed back when Team Flash visits Starling City in part 2.
ReplyDeleteI am ready for this. I hope by the end of this crossover Barry drinks some truth serum and realize his speed is not the be all. I hope the cocky showing off stops after this.
ReplyDeleteBut the trailer is really awesome.
I.really.want.to.PUNCH THIS FREAKING PRICK
ReplyDeletecan we please introduce a villain that actually takes him down with ease? Or better....kill him off and replace him with Bart Allen?
Indeed it is.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
ReplyDeletebut doesnt Barry mention his name to Oliver also?
ReplyDeleteBarry, I like you, a lot, so... just STOP being such an... idiot!!!
ReplyDeleteRest of the promo: Awesome! Can't wait until Thursday to watch both episodes in a row!
Isn't he brainwashed or something?
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to this.
ReplyDeleteOk, I want Oliver to beat the crap out of Barry, he needs to be taught a lesson
ReplyDeleteYES
ReplyDelete#teamwhoeversmacksbarrysheadashardaspossible
That guy creeps me out like you can't imagine.
ReplyDeleteI think so too so hopefully we will be right.
ReplyDeleteIts the eyes Brandon gives.
ReplyDeleteThere's a reason why he is my favourite super hero, the man has morals and ethics like no other.
ReplyDeleteThe creepy crazy eyes are a contributing factor of course but mostly his behavior, I don't find him charming or quirky AT ALL, and that scene with him working out shirtless at work and asking his employee out (while still shirtless) and giving her an expensive dress AND telling her that he paid so much money for it then lending her a 10 million dollars necklace, still makes me want to puke. ReplyDeleteFlarrow?? Well, I guess it does beat Arrash.
ReplyDeleteHe's being affected by something super-villainy.
ReplyDeleteUnless it actually breaks whatever mind control type shit is affecting him, I don't really care.
ReplyDeleteYou know he's mentally not himself, right? He's affected by a metahuman. He's not actually an asshole.
ReplyDeleteHe's being affect by a metahuman according to 1x08's synopsis.
ReplyDeleteYah, Flarrow sounds much cooler. Arrash sounds like it could be short for Arrash al Ghul.
ReplyDeleteArash is a legendry Archer in Persian Land. ;-)
ReplyDeleteNo it's been going on for a while, his powers are starting to go to his head and he is getting way over confident and someone will end up getting hurt because of it.

ReplyDeleteBatman's are basically at the same level if not higher.
ReplyDeleteLast week he lost his powers and he still went to try and help the guy. That seemed pretty brave and compassionate to me?
