Will this show have superpowers like Shield? I don't watch it but Agent Carter seem interesting. Just not sure about it if this show does have superpowers.
I was wondering that too. I went to Wiki to also see what they say. It might have some cool science fiction aspects, as one character, who works with Carter, will become responsible for an Artificial Intelligence program and eventually becomes the tutor of Tony Stark/Iron Man. So it might have "advanced" robotics or weaponry!
Are you talking about Jarvis? I don't really think he'll have anything to do with the creation of the A.I. from the Iron Man movies (also called JARVIS). Tony just gave the A.I. the name of his father's old butler, since JARVIS (the A.I.) is also kind of Tony's butler.
I am almost certain it's not a coincidence ;) They seem to have taken this outfit as Peggy's iconic 'uniform' so they must have thought about it.
I like to think the Peggy in the show was, in many ways, influenced by Cap. While she was already a strong woman, Steve showed her how to fight for what you want. He was unfit to be a soldier, she is a woman in a man's world. Still she saw how hard he worked to succeed and what risks he took. While she may not have superpowers, she's going to continue fighting, like he did.
So she also dresses in the same colours as he did. She's going to continue doing what he did, just in her own way.
The character I'm referring to IS his father's butler Edwin Jarvis, but says he will be an "ally" to Agent Carter in this time period. I'm not saying we will see J.A.R.V.I.S. as we know it, but could possibly see other things that work it's way up to it/have an association/evolution with it. Wikipedia states that Agent Carter is considered: Action Adventure, Super Hero, & Science Fiction---so there should be some cool tech one way or another...
The series features the Marvel Comics character Peggy Carter, with Hayley Atwell reprising her role from the film series, as she must balance doing administrative work and going on secret missions for Howard Stark while trying to navigate life as a single woman in 1940s America. It is produced by ABC Studios and Marvel Television, with Tara Butters and Michele Fazekas serving as showrunners."...

ReplyDeleteI don't think the show will have any superpowers. It will a sort of SHIELD-esque show I think.
ReplyDeleteDon't think it will.
ReplyDeleteThanks! Do you think I can watch it without having seen Shield?
ReplyDeleteI think you could yes. By the way, I highy highly recommend Shield in any case ;)
ReplyDeleteLove the posters for this show, Peggy looks iconic.
ReplyDeleteGreat! She's really beautiful and breathtaking!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely.

ReplyDeleteCool poster.
ReplyDeleteSomeone in the promotional dept. really digs Peggy's Carmen Sandiego getup.
ReplyDeleteA nice observation I saw on FB: she's wearing the same colors as Captain America's costume.
Can't wait to watch this one!
ReplyDeleteHadn't thought about the Captain America tie. Might be coincidence, but I like it regardless!
ReplyDeleteI'm almost certain you can. I do think you have to have seen the first Captain America movie though (which I'm pretty sure you have ;)).

I know inspire could mean a lot of things...
Where in the world is Carmen Sandiego?
ReplyDeleteLove this one. Very vibrant.
ReplyDeleteThis.
ReplyDeleteAlso, Peggy makes a couple of cameos in AoS Season 2 via flashbacks.
