  1. Olivia Pope a powerful woman? Thanks for the laugh ABC.

The Alias mention was cute though.

  2. I like the idea behind this but boy the should have used clips of Alias, Scandal etc instead of just still photos. It makes the promo looks like it was done by amateurs.

  3. They should have mentioned emily thorne not olivia pope since emily is more like agent carter

  4. Probably because Scandal is the more successful series and they're using it for this promo.

  5. just another reason for ABC to push Scandal down our throats.

  6. If it were the other way around, then they would've used Revenge for the promo. That's just the way things are.

  7. I still have some interest in watching this, but I swear each new promo makes me less interested. Terrible job by ABC.

  9. Idiot promo department not including Kate Beckett. Lame. She's been around longer than BOTH Olivia and Emily.

  10. "She'll bring men to their knees" - my god, who comes up with these BS taglines? First "The best man for the job is A WOMAN!!!", now this... stop making the promotion all about Peggy's gender for god's sake. Yes, I'm glad we finally have a female lead in the MCU, but this approach makes it seem like there is nothing more to the series than some juvenile notion of "girl power". I know the sexism Peggy has to deal with given the time period is a theme in the series, but we don't need to be whacked over the head with it like this.

  11. I'm with you on this one, it's becoming ridiculous. I'm all for women having more significant roles in movie and television, but the best way to do that is to make it seem like it's not that big of a deal. Show it as something perfectly natural and it will be. Highlight the fact that your lead is a woman every single chance you get and that's all people will see.

  13. I think ABC is trying to appeal this show to their audience which is predominantly women and failing miserably.

  14. Yeah, it's really cheesy (in a cringeworthy way).

  15. I think the common theme among Sidney Bristow, Olivia Pope and Agent Carter, is that their power is used to help others and isn't wasted primarily on personal agendas. Don't get me wrong, I'm definitely a fan of Emily Thorne but I don't consider her powerful (or empowered, I should say), because her life is governed completely by a need for vengeance, so she truly is not free.
