Meg 2 was great, I regret her departure.
ReplyDeleteMy top pick would be Bela Talbot - she was an amazing character.
ReplyDeleteThe other three that I voted for are Ellen, Jo and Meg1.
Ellen, Jo and John. I LOVED THEM!!!
ReplyDeleteYeah, Meg 2 and Bobby
ReplyDeleteThis is a good question, especially because I'm so fed up with Supernatural's misguided idea that the only culmination of a storyline is character death. That's not character development, it's copping out. And there are so very many choices, which is why I'm glad to see Henrikson on this list. I thought he was such a dick (but a good foil) the first couple times around but on my last rewatch, he really grew on me. The episode where he finally comes around to their side gives you the hope that he could be a real ally, that Sam and Dean's world has expanded, we could actually get some interesting storylines of Henrikson trying to deal with the situation from his end. But then? Boom. Dead. No reason. A potentially game-changing character spent on one gut punch moment at the end of an episode. What a waste.
ReplyDeleteBobby and Ellen are my other 2 but whoever said Bela I would agree with that too. She also had a lot of potential.
Bobby, John, Tessa.
ReplyDeleteBobby and Kevin I miss the most.
ReplyDeleteWhen are we going to get Benny back?!
Bobby, Kevin and Balthazar
ReplyDeleteBobby, Jo, and John for me.
ReplyDeleteAny female character to be honest, they were all underused and disposed of far too quickly.
ReplyDeleteEvery dead Supernatural character has been brought again so far, so the question remains highly hypothetical.
ReplyDeleteI want to see Gabriel/the trickster back again. He made for an interesting ally.
ReplyDeleteNo, which one do you wish hadn't been killed to begin with and could still be a recurring character? I'm not a fan of bringing the dead back. There are a few I wish they hadn't killed off so that we could continue to see them sporadically through the rest of the show. Ever how long it lasts.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan of bringing the dead back so there are a few I wish they had never killed off so that they could continue to recur.
ReplyDeleteMy choices are actually all of them except for John.
My favorite demon Alastair(Christopher Heyerdahl) of the ones listed Jo, Bobby and John.
ReplyDeleteI would love a spin off with Benny & Cas.
ReplyDeleteTotally agree, such as Bela, Ruby (Katie Cassidy), Jo, Ellen...
ReplyDeleteAah, totally misread the question, you're right!
ReplyDeleteThis isn't so much wishing she'd never been killed, because that change would have made this a different show, but I'd love to see Jessica again - by some twist brought back and aware of the Supernatural. I say this because it would force the show into Sam to think about who he is now, who he used to be, and what he really wants. It would also mean a return of the Sam as a more independent character outside of "Sam and Dean," something that's been lost over the seasons.
ReplyDeleteOutside of that, I wish Ellen and Jo had never been killed. That seemed pointless. I thought we needed a break from Bobby, but I would have preferred that he had stayed alive - maybe gone on vacation instead.
Benny
ReplyDeleteJohn Winchester, Bobby Singer, Emma Winchester,
ReplyDeleteWho is Emma?
ReplyDeleteIn one of those S7 episodes, Dean unknowingly slept with an Amazon he met in bar. She left pregnant and the result was Dean's daughter, Emma. A rapidly aged Emma whose legacy was to kill her father. Sam killed her when she tried to kill Dean.
ReplyDelete7:13- the Slice Girls
Please don't bring Bobby back. I'm so sick and tired of that perfectly perfect character that went from an awesome ally to practically being Mary, Jesus, Joseph and Rambo all rolled into one.
ReplyDeleteAh, yes. I had forgotten the name. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI like to see some female characters... I really liked Ruby 1.0(Katie Cassidy), Joe and Ellen... Bella was sometimes hilarious...
ReplyDeleteWell, we still have Charlie...
Dean's daughter with Lydia.
ReplyDeleteMeg2,John winchester,lilith,Trickster.Not bobby or ruby.
ReplyDeleteDEMON DEAN!!!!
ReplyDeleteMeg#2
Ellen
Jo
Azazel
opposite to popular belief I think that Bobby ran his course and was damaged beyond repair in season 8
What about Meg2??? That's the only time she was actually killed. I liked her! Oh and voted for bobby. The rest I'm fine without. I liked Jo and Ellen but they went out with a bang! Bobby is much more important to the boys.
ReplyDeleteI also wish they hadn't killed Castiel oh...a million times! So much so that it got to be a joke.
ReplyDeleteThey should have never killed Cas, and they shouldn't be leaning towards getting rid of the character now!
John: He left too soon and even in S1 we didn't have enough of him.
ReplyDeleteEllen: She was the perfect mother figure. Calling Jody the mother figure is so absurd it actually makes me angry.
Henriksen: They could go with him helping boys. At the time I thought they didn't want the hunters to have any help from the officials, but then they introduced Jody!
Henry: Well playing with time is risky and confusing but that storyline had potential.
Micheal: Just how could they get rid of such powerful character w/o even giving him a unique vessel?! So much potential wasted!
The Trickster was such a funny character. I remember the episode where there life was a comedy a commercial a Chinese reality show. That was my favorite episode.
ReplyDeleteI'll forever miss Bobby, Jo, and Ellen, but I loved the Victor Henrikson story, I miss the boys having to worry about "our world" and their "criminal" like nature and I'll forever miss Bela! I loved her character and think she would have made an awesome adversary for the brothers. Forever hoping she'll return as a villain as a demon!!!
ReplyDeleteJO, BOBBY AND ELLEN!!!!!!!! And Jess too!
ReplyDeleteBela. Because you actually never saw her die. All the rest of the characters died and I'd rather they stay dead at this point.
ReplyDeleteEllen and Jo (!!!), plus Rufus. So many characters with great potential on this show were sacrificed on the altar of more angst/man pain, it's aggravating.
ReplyDeleteI would always love too see John, always. Young John, older John, I would probably watch a spin-off with John. The second one is Tessa, because she used to always bring out of Dean something he had buried deep (Exept for the last time when she ridiculously become some sort of angel and went nuts. I refuse to belive that was her and I almost menaged to convinced myself that part never happened). Lastly, I would like to see Adam again, preferably a bit twisted Adam ( but not nessesarily evil) coming back and giving his brothers hell.
ReplyDeleteOther- Ruby season 3(Katie Cassidy). I never really warmed up to new Ruby
ReplyDeleteBobby is the obvious answer for me, but outside the box, I miss the Hendrickson character. I always thought they could have extended his life span a few more eps.
ReplyDeleteyou know Gabriel's alive right?
ReplyDeleteReally he's fake died so many times I assumed he finally bit the dust.
ReplyDeleteFirst has got to be BOBBY, he helped make the show, Damn Igits. Second is Benny, I loved his interaction with Dean, Benny + Demon Dean would have been good stories. Third is Kevin, he was that little wired up prophet that never gave up.
ReplyDeleteFirst one is easy Bobby and then I guess John. I'm surprised no one has said Ash. I always liked Dr. Badass
ReplyDeleteSurpised Meg isn't here.
ReplyDeleteEllen is always my #1 I wish she was still alive. Next choice was Pam, she was fun and I liked her relationship with the boys. Third choice was trucky, I love Bobby but after the whole ghost thing I don't want him back. Rufus was fun but I thibk Rufus works best when he plays off Bobby, no Bobby no need for Rufus. So I went with John Winchester, I'd love to see how S10 Sam and Dean react/interact with their father (not young John Winchester)
ReplyDeleteI'd add Henry Winchester, Benny Lafitte and Sarah Blake. I'm so glad you separate Ellen/Jo because Ellen rocks. Jo was good her first ep then became annoying because they began to write her stupid teen. Then she became a threat when she didn't use common sense or listen to Dean.
ReplyDeleteActually no Jeffrey Dean Morgan's John hasn't been back nor Henry Winchester. both were seen before their deaths except when JDM's John saved Dean from Azazel. Henry leapt forward in time and was seen in a flashback.
ReplyDeleteHow?
ReplyDeleteMay I ask why not John?
ReplyDeleteJessica was for Sam like Mary was for John/Dean a catalyst to get in to hunting. Unfortunately that can't be changed or they'd never hunt. I love Sam Smith (Mary Winchester).
ReplyDeleteDon't even joke about Charlie or as the guys call her Robbie Thompson's Mary Sue. Except in 8x20 Pac man and 7x20 The Girl with the Dungeons and Dragons Tattoo Charlie has been extremely annoying probably in part to the constant reminders about how wonderful she is. Probably due in part to Carver's wanting to make the show into a soap opera.
ReplyDeleteActually no both Ellen/Jody were moms in the show and good mother figures to the guys. Henry only if they don't muck it up like they did in season 9. John only if it's JDM's wounded warrior because Matt Cohen's is so Ward Cleaver and boring. Henriksen when he realized the truth was good until then he was a complete ass.
ReplyDeleteYou and a lot of others. tv.com aired some possible spin off ideas when the PTB were 1st talking about it and the highest approved idea was a John spin off.
ReplyDeleteWhich John? JDM the original John or Matt Cohen (Young John)
ReplyDeleteMeg is in the form of the original Meg. Nicki Aycox was filming her series Dark Blue and couldn't do Meg so they got Rachel Miner.
ReplyDeleteJeffrey Dean Morgan.
ReplyDeleteJohn JDM version, Bobby Singer, Ellen Harvelle, Emma Winchester, Henry Winchester, Benny, Meg1(Nikki Aycox), Rufus Turner, Tessa, Victor Henriksen, Pamela Barnes, Sarah Blake and Alistair (Christopher Heyerdahl version, Gen Cortese's Ruby or any other character.
ReplyDeleteI know. I was referring to the second one. Who can probably never return due to MS.
ReplyDeleteYou can click other and post a comment with Meg2
ReplyDeleteI do not like John but his death made sense to the story. Having him alive and well, hunting in South America or off the grid somewhere while his boys have literally been to hell and back would be wrong on so many levels.
ReplyDeleteBring Jeffery Dean Morgan back!!!
ReplyDeleteActually if they didn't tell John how would he know. I think John would make things more interesting. John knew that there was an intruder in his infant son's nursery. Someone who has no problem murdering so that John knows there was an intruder but not who or what. Sam assumed John hunted to avenge Mary but he never bothered to ask. I believe he did it to protect the boys. A single father raising two small kids he couldn't really trust anyone to take care of considering how easy someone can be possessed, I remember in the comics how he left them with a fellow Hunter only to find the Hunter torn apart literally yet the kids unharmed and written in blood "We're coming for the children." Whether you accept that as canon you have to admit it's terrifying.
ReplyDeleteHe did not need to ask and Sam's feelings towards John were as legitmate as Dean's. There were a number of reasons John hunted and to avenge Mary was one of them, dont get me wrong I like John I think he has a rough a deal of it as Sam has had from the fandom but it would be unrealistic to believe vengence was not involved.
ReplyDeleteMeg, Pamela and Bobby of course. I was really (really sad about Pamela, she was such an amazing character. I also loved Missouri and would have loved to see her again)..
ReplyDeleteYeah he did becauselike with Henry telling him John was scared by a movie starring comedians Abbott and Costello and Sam said he never thought John was scared of anything and Dean through Sonny's eyes are proof Sam shouldn't assume just cause he thinks it is so doesn't mean it is.
ReplyDeleteGabriel and Balthazar!!
ReplyDeleteGabriel because I loved his Role as Trickster and his whole Character and see him evolving
ReplyDeleteWhy is Kevin Tran not on this poll?
ReplyDelete
