  1. The Originals or The 100. I would give the spot to Reign cause it needs the promotion but The100 cause of their male viewership would probably be the best choice.

  2. I thought this is a good question. I voted for the heroes: Arrow and The Flash, because I think they are fresh and more "commercial" than the others. SPN and TVD are old shows and they don't have that appeal anymore and the rest of them don't fit in this kind of spot. CW could air a crossover between Arrow and The Flash after the Super Bowl. It would get great audience. IMO

  3. The 100!! Not only is the show awesome, it needs the extra publicity!

I'd probably give it to The Messengers. CBS needs a hit on The CW after dragging them down for so long.

Alternatively The 100 could really use the boost.

  5. the 100, reign or the originals, all are solid entertaining shows with great storylines, and all could use some promotion too

  6. The Originals or Arrow.

  7. The Flash could boost well past a 2.0 and I think its strong enough to hold a good chunk of that afterwards.
And The 100 is so good now that I think, if they could make it an episode thats just as strong but not so mythology heavy people could be convinced to go back and watch the rest.

I didn't vote for it but I'd also say iZombie. Abrand new show would do great and I think (or at least hope) it would have more staying power than The Messengers.

  8. Although I would love for it to be The 100, I think it is too serialized. Most shows after a Super Bowl are shows where a new viewer won't feel that lost if they tuned in. So I'd say The Flash.

  9. As much as I want to scream the 100, and while I can even get rational arguments for it (I truly, legitimately believe the show has potential that goes way beyond the cw and that it would benefit greatly from the additional exposure), I think the CW would be better off launching a new show with a lot of potential there (maybe The Messengers). Superhero shows like Arrow or The Flash would also be obvious options and I wouldn't be against them, especially due to their skew and also their beyond-CW potential, but I think a new show would still be a better option.

I would be against putting shows like TVD, TO, SPN or Reign in there, though I happen to like these shows; I just don't think they would fit nor that they have the mass appeal a post Super Bowl show should have.

  10. Arrow or The Flash, and they could've used this episode as a backdoor pilot for another spin-off.

  11. If the Superbowl was on The CW no one would watch it.

  12. I don't watch any CW show, but I think Jane the Virgin would be the best choice. It's in its first season (not too many episodes to catch up with), it has great critics, and its ratings are not really high. Could use the boost!

The 100 could work as well. The male viewers would probably like it more than Jane. But the success of Grey's Anatomy Super Bowl episode shows that even "girly" shows can have large post Super Bowl ratings. But it might be too serialised.

It would be really interesting to see if it would actually help the ratings for more than one episode, not like the networks' shows.

  13. The Flash-ratings warrant it plus its new so there is still a chance for fans to discover the show and watch live.
either of the upcoming new shows-what a boost it could give to either one of those shows.
The rest are either quite old and/or too poorly rated to warrant that privelage.

  14. I think you're underestimating The Flash there a bit, it hits in the 2;s with Live+3 DVR viewing so the potenital boost from airing after the SB would be bigger.

  15. Love this idea! The Flash/Arrow/Supernatural would all have a fighting chance. CW needs to stop being cheap scapes and actually pay out for something like this so they can finally get out of the dreaded 0.8-1.3 range

    ReplyDelete
  16. The Messengers. The Flash is already a hit so no need for that. Supernatural, TVD and Arrow are too far into the series for them to be picked. The rest of the shows are too poor performing for them to waste the opportunity. So I'd pick either iZombie or The Messengers, but The Messengers gets my vote because I think it woud maybe have a wider appeal than a teenage zombie show (just going off of what the promo material looks like).

  17. People would complain about the players being too young or the game would be have too many rich white girls in it.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I say The 100 this show is good

    ReplyDelete
  19. Are the CW still trying to make The 100 happen?

    ReplyDelete
  20. Great poll question btw

    ReplyDelete
  21. Hell would freeze over. But I'd put money on either The Flash or The 100.

    ReplyDelete
  22. That would be such a shame I always see the SB as something that brings the country together no matter how old, gender, skin colour, wealth. But yeah I have seen people c=make those very complaints about CW shows.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Not sure I understand your question. It is happening. Nicely.

    ReplyDelete
  24. The 100, because it's improved a lot and is now a really good sci fi piece, but the rating aren't there, so I think it would respond well to this kind of boost.
The Messengers, because it would be simpler to just launch a new story in this scenario, expecting it to mantain its momentum and build a solid schedule around the show.

  25. Not according to the ratings.

  26. Hahahahahaha if the *cough* Super Bowl were to air on hahaha *cough* *cough* the CW. Oh the fantasies some people have! hahehe!

    I haven't laughed this hard for a long time....thanks,i needed that! :)

  27. We all know it isnt ever going to happen

    ReplyDelete
  28. This is never, ever going to happen, BTW.

    ReplyDelete
  29. There are lower rated shows on The CW than The 100.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Obviously.
Clearly The Flash or one of the 2 new shows that have yet to air would get the spot there isnt much of a debate to be had but its always interesting to see people try to justify why their particular fave should get the spot and why another show shouldnt. Those T100 fans are fast becoming as interesting as those Beauty and the Beast fans.

  31. I think CW would air a show owned by CBS.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I felt like there would be no need to put The Flash, Arrow, or Supernatural after it, they're already established. Neither should it be HoD, Beauty, or Jane, since chances are none will return next year. I picked The Originals because I figured it could get a nice boost, launch a new show, and improve Mondays even more

    ReplyDelete
  33. I'm sure it would get relatively the same amount of viewers. The cw is a broadcast network and it reaches the same number of households as the other networks. People will watch the superbowl if they want on matter where its on. They already follow it when it rotates around the other big four networks.

    ReplyDelete
  34. What would the Super Bowl even get on the CW? I'm guessing less than it does now but then again football is that huge...

    ReplyDelete
  35. I'm aware, but that hardly means it's doing good. Didn't the CW cancel three shows last year?

    ReplyDelete
  36. I'm aware of that,just having a little fun.

    ReplyDelete
  37. By the way people, I know this won't ever happened, I made the poll just for fun

    ReplyDelete
  38. Still two more left to premiere.

    ReplyDelete
  39. The Suicide Squad spin-off from Arrow.

    ReplyDelete
  40. First choice Supernatural , second the 100

    ReplyDelete
  41. Definitely The 100 the poor brilliant show needs all the help it can get. I want Arrow too because Arrow is my baby!

    ReplyDelete
  42. That's a good point. I was probably underestimating SB too. I couldn't even remember what it usually gets.

    ReplyDelete
  43. The Vampire Diaries, without question :P

    ReplyDelete
  44. Logicaaly speaking,I could see arrow And TF benefiting from the lead-in immensely.TVD,Reign,TO,JtV are very female oriented shows,no use putting them in that slot.

    ReplyDelete
  45. They probably would go for Arrow, The Flash or The 100. Im happy with either of them

    ReplyDelete
  46. Arrow, Hart of Dixie, Beauty and the Beast, Vampire Diaries and Supernatural are too old. They would choose series that don't have a lot of episodes so that viewers could catch up easily. The point is to make people come back the week after, that will not work if viewers have to watch three seasons in 7 days.

    ReplyDelete
  47. America's Next Top Model, but instead of all-girls or guys and girls, it would be an all guys season. But I know either way, the Super Bowl audience is a huge mismatch to ANTM anyway hehe.

    ReplyDelete
  48. The best would be to launch a series after the Super Bowl IMO.

    ReplyDelete
  49. The 100 would benefit the most

    ReplyDelete
  50. The only series that had an episode after the Super Bowl that I can really remember was Criminal Minds where a case happened relatively close after the actual Super Bowl(and in that same arc, Reid was kidnapped and forced to take drugs), so if the Super Bowl was ever aired on The CW(LOL!), I'd like an episode that deals with some kind of after effect from the Super Bowl, such as a case on Supernatural. Arrow and The Flash deal with fictional cities and I'd prefer a show like Supernatural, although sometimes they use fictional towns, they could still offer an episode where a case happens actually at the Super Bowl location. That'd be sweet.

  51. You won the internet.

    ReplyDelete
  52. The Flash is the best decision from a network standpoint. The show has the biggest potential mass appeal and will put the most eyeballs on the network. Then, if those eyeballs are willing to sample some of The CW's other fare than so much the better.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Completely agree. These are two amazing shows with huge potential that need a good kickstart, which Superbowl is. The 100 even more need it (TO doing a pretty good job on Mondays, so it's safe more or less). It's dying and it will be sad to lose it.
The Flash and Arrow are great on their own. There is ABSOLUTELY no need to put it after such thing as Superbowl

    ReplyDelete
  54. Its hard to imagine this scenario ever happening given that the network is sooo cheap in general.
