On the heels of landing a regular role on Michael Bay/Jerry Brukcheimer’s Miami drug-trade drama pilot at TNT, Adria Arjona (Narcos) has been cast as a recurring on the upcoming second season of HBO’s True Detective. The second installment in the crime franchise revolves around three police officers, played by Colin Farrell, Taylor Kitsch and Rachel McAdams, and a career criminal (Vince Vaughn) who must navigate a web of conspiracy in the aftermath of a murder. Arjona, repped by One Entertainment and Phoenix Artists, will play Emily, Kitsch’s girlish but practical girlfriend.

  1. Good for here. Saw her for the first time on Person of Interest today. She was quite good.

  2. Did you know that she is appearing again in 4x13? I was hoping that she could be a nice recurring character but looks like her plate is already full with two shows.

  3. She was good. POI is very good at introducing characters and getting decent enough actors to make the viewers care about what happens to the character in their standalone episodes. Interesting that the character is coming back based on your other comment.
