  1. Shit!!! I smell some heroic sacrifice coming. :(

  2. 1/10 would not read

    ReplyDelete
  3. I'll believe it when I see it.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Im confused, is it beth that supposedly dies or carol

    ReplyDelete
  5. Maybe Maggie will finally remember she's her sister? Nah, too much of a stretch.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Carol will need a wheelchair for the rest of her life after being hit by a car and Carol will die in 5x15.in the arms of her boyfriend Rick. retributive justice.

    ReplyDelete
  7. beth "she (beth) has the choice to leave and has a moment of gumption (or weakness, depending on how you look at it) that leads to her demise" DEMISE :'(

    ReplyDelete
  8. If this would be true, for a lot of reasons everything from episode 4
until that point would be senseless and become the weakest part of the
entire series. Even deaths ever had some scence by changing the main characters in some way. So in the season finale it could have made sense but not at this point.

Even if this would be true. Caryl will never
happen. I would hope Carol hooks up with Rick or Daryl with Michonne
just to see how this parts of the audience punished who insult other
characters and actors just because they think this show is about
shipping wars. They got in no way about this show.

  9. That sucks i was just starting to like her character. So much potential there. Im going to hope this is just rumour crap put out their to throw people off. Perhaps different endings to the mid season finale and no one really knows which one will be used. I can hope

    ReplyDelete
  10. This is the old bait and switch to not ruin the surprise, Carol NOT Beth will sacrifice herself so 'they' can escape. RIP Carol. I'm going to be sorry to see your bad ass, kick ass, one woman show go.

    ReplyDelete
  11. From what I've heard the site that tracks filming hasn't seen EK on set for months so it does seem to jive with Beth being the mid-Season death.

    ReplyDelete
  12. I squarely blame the writers for this fuckup. How hard was two lines of dialogue or one or two short scenes between Maggie and Daryl talking about Beth? They (the writers) had tons of chances to remedy this but for some unknown reason, chose instead to stick with it and ride it to the end.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Sorry but Melissa McBride is still filming the last epísodes, people saw her on the set, so Carol dont die in the midseason finale

    ReplyDelete
  14. People also "saw" Sarah Wayne Callis on the set when season 3 was finished.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I thought it would be Tyrese since they are introducing three black guys this season. Tyrese and Bob came after T-Dog died, Gabriel and Noah came after Bob died...now it is time for Tyrese to die so Morgan can be introduced into the cast, along with another black guy

    ReplyDelete
  16. LOL you should write fanfiction.

    ReplyDelete
  17. This has been rumoured by TSDF for a while now, but I was honestly thinking it was Carol who was set to die....

If this is the case, Slabtown was Beth's swan song so I could see why the writers were insistent on giving it a whole episode to itself. She's not my favourite character in the least, but it's still sad. At least she'll be going out like a big damn hero.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Interesting if it does go down ad reported, but I foresaw Carol dying as well. Sacrificing her life to let Beth and/or Daryl live. IT jsut feels so TWD-like to reintroduce Carol and then kill her after a redemption arc.

    ReplyDelete
  19. The point is, Beth or Carol will die.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I'm okay with Beth dying, while I very much enjoy how they've chaged her character, she is not nearly as awesome as Carol has become. If they put this rumour out to only pull a switcharoo on us & Carol dies i will LOSE MY SHIT!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Can someone please throw Carl at some walkers?

    ReplyDelete
  22. Melissa McBride is still recording the series , yes . They are finishing filming the episode 15. : - )

    ReplyDelete
  23. Hmmm, that's pretty interesting. Let's just say I was picturing the *other* Daryl chick sacrificing herself for a younger female, due to guilt over what happened with several other young girls in her care.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Was that info written somewhere on Daryl's biceps, because that would be the only place a Caryl shipper would be looking. Well, that and the package. If they looked anywhere else, they would know that Beth doesn't die.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Not that episode. And Carol and Michonne don't hook up with anybody.

    ReplyDelete
  26. envious of a Teenager?

    ReplyDelete
  27. That would be fun.

    ReplyDelete
  28. envious? Hardly, annoyed

    ReplyDelete
  29. Rick, Daryl and Michonne all have a much bigger fanbase than Carol ever had.

    ReplyDelete
  30. You want a cake as a consolation.

    ReplyDelete
  31. You're putting word in their mouths. They didn't rumor it. They just reported Kinney wasn't seen filming in quite awhile. She may have done all her scenes in the hospital, since she said that Lincoln and Reedus "visited" the set. Also set pictures have been release where the group does arrive at the hospital and "camps" out for awhile. And the mid season death is not Beth.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Yes , but this is not the discussion . The comparison is about Carol and Lori . The relationship on Daryl was just an example and Mel has more prestige for his performance than others . And fans of the character will also only grow every day and this is a much bigger fans than the number of the character of Emily . See the comments .

    ReplyDelete
  33. Daryl's "chick" is waiting for him in the ASZ. I cannot wait to hear what little obsessed fan girls have to say about her. Unless of course, he decides to follow Beth "like a puppy." But good Lord, the fury! It just might be enough to shake the Earth off it's axis again.

    ReplyDelete
  34. No need to get defensive. I meant that when people have asked about Beth, they've consistently given the same information about it. Believe what you want to believe, but I don't think they'd risk mishandling a spoiler so huge if they weren't 99% sure.

I also heard that it was a cameraman who told his sister about the death, who then went and shared it. But I don't know how valid that story is.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Beth was becoming tiresome...and anyone who would call a turtle "mushy" needs to die!

    ReplyDelete
  36. They are giving too much credit to Carol and Beth. It will be sad to see Carol go but im sure she will sacrifice to elt Beth live and thsi just trying to sent us to another route

    ReplyDelete
  37. I'll take Carls brains

    #teamwalkerthatwillmurdercarltheworstwaypossible ;)

    ReplyDelete
  38. Now she really won't get to go to the birthday party.... Or get to touch the blind kid :(

    ReplyDelete
  39. Oh how I miss the days when female characters weren't defined by their proximity to Daryl's dick.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Not surprising. Emily hasn't been on set in many months.

    ReplyDelete
  41. They won't. Melissa McBride has been filming long after MSF.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Carol doesn't die in the MSF. Melissa McBride was filming long after that episode.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Never happy when one of the family dies! I hope we get to see her interact with Maggie before it happens. Knowing the writers, who make it like these sisters don't even remember each other...I'm guessing it won't happen.
It's immature seeing people taking their anger out on the wrong people. If Beth dies, it's the fault of Gimple and the writers. Not Carol or Melissa's fault. Not the fault of Carol fans. Hoping Carol dies too because you're making this a competition is so immature.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Haha Steph, I SO agree with you -- not only does it set us all back 30+ years, but the thought of hooking up with *anybody* in a world where baths and toothpaste are so off-the-radar really queases me out. No offense Daryl (Rick, etc.), but you've taken scruffy to a nightmarish new level. This was just my tongue-in-cheek way of being (semi???) non-spoilerish for those who chose not to peek.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Barb, can you even imagine?? The level of fan ferocity over Daryl in general could almost exist as a show of its own. Maybe that will actually be the spin-off. :)

    ReplyDelete
  46. Ron that's exactly what I was thinking, originally -- but then people started sharing reports that she's still filming. Even if the writers don't want to part with that character, I too thought that what you're describing would be a very powerful way to have her exit -- and would make some sense, given all the guilt she carries.

    ReplyDelete
  47. People come up with some weird conspiracy theories to kill off Carol. It's fascinating.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I've been calling it since Still aired. Taking a background character, giving her loads of screentime, pairing her up with Daryl so people would star caring. Slabtown was her swan song. To me it was always about setting her up to be killed. I thought it would be either episode4 or MSF death. SG said he wanted every death to count.

I hope they don't make her death related to Carol cause I'm tired of Carol being given the responsability over this or that young girl and carrying it with her. Same with Daryl. Hope they can move on. Hope Maggie gets to react to it.

From the sounds of it looks like Beth will sacrifice herself for Noah and Carol.

EK is not seen filming since a long time ago. July 15 I think. Around the time of the MSF. She was confirmed to be on other cities even. And there is rumors about a music tour around the time the season6 will be filmed.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Why are you even brining up ships. Beth dying has nothing to do with Carol or Caryl. Stop with this immature shipping war nonsense.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Nope. Melissa was filming long after the mid-season finale.

    ReplyDelete
  51. lol no. Both Melissas's VIP's for autgraphs were sold out at the last Con. Even Norman's wasn't. Carol is a fan fav, that's a fact.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I agree with this actually -- not because I have a thing against Carol (on the contrary, Carol kicks a$$ and is easily my favorite character). It just seems like the perfect TWD-esque conclusion given Carol's story arc to date. She feels like she failed to save her own daughter. She feels like she failed Mika by not seeing the extent of Lizzie's delusion. And she feels especially awful for what happened with Lizzie, but there didn't seem to be any other option (and as we've seen, Carol steps up now -- even when she can hardly bear the cost).

Carol's guilt is really weighing on her this season (she was likely trying to drive away the night Daryl found her). So if she gets a chance to save a young girl by sacrificing herself, my bet is she'll take it. It would be heartbreaking, and the loss of a phenomenal actress, and I'd bawl for a week. But it would also make total, Gimple-like sense given the character setups to date. And Gimple loves agonizing, gut-punch, let's-shoot-Sophia-in-the-head type endings.

    ReplyDelete
  53. You could definitely be right -- but if they DID kill off a character as prominent as Carol, I'd keep the actress on-set too. These guys are no strangers to misdirection (remembering back to Season 3, Lori's death, and SWC continuing with all the press junkets to throw people off before it aired).

    ReplyDelete
  54. It's going to be devastating for [him] and [her]. I just hope they don't blame each other (this could damage their relationship)

    ReplyDelete
  55. Carol dying for Beth doesn't pose any conflict whatsoever. Now Beth dying for Carol, on the other hand, may ruin things between Carol and Daryl, and also between Rick and Daryl.

Not to mention, what this would do to Carol, as it would put her in the same position Rick was with Sophia and what this would do to Maggie & Glenn (who thought Beth was safe) and Tara as the odd man out

    ReplyDelete
  56. Carol ending at this point would cut short everythin Rick has gone through with Joe and what he doesn't know Carol & Tyreese went through with Lizzie & Mika.

For one, Rick doesn't know that Carol was with Mika and Lizzie when they died.He still feels guilty Carol lost her little girls at the prison. He still doesn't know how Tyreese reacted about Karen & David or why.

I'm just saying, if it comes to agonizing gut-punches Rick and Carol and Tyreese have barely even scratched theirs.

    ReplyDelete
  57. You may absolutely be right, and those are some really strong points. I've gotta hand it to the writers this season -- they seem to be doing a pretty good job at keeping us all guessing! And personally, I'm a huge Carol fan. Very much hoping they keep her around for a good long time -- I just have a nervous feeling about where this is headed.

    ReplyDelete
  58. And how long could that go on without characters like Hershel, Carol or Judith?

The only reason some characters are highlighted is because of their interaction with similar-opposites on the show.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I do hope this is wrong. While I do like Carol, I weirdly would rather have her die (heroically) than to lose Beth. Carol has had some great stories, but with her seemingly try to ditch the group in episode 2, and just everything that's been going on, it seems more fitting that she be the one to go down saving someone.

We'll see how it'll play out, but I have no doubt that I will not like the end result of it.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Seeing one of the best character sacrifice for one of the worst characters could actually turn me off the show. It's just not worth it. But I know it's not happening so I'm not worried.

At least Beth didn't get the T-dog treatment. She got something to do and a bit of a personality before being killed off. She will die a hero's death.

I don't think the text is even that clear about if she will sacrifice herself. That sounds like something that could happen but people are jumping the gun. It says she makes a decision and it doesn't go as she expects.

I think you all give the show too much credit. Won't be the first death to leak. If you follow filming spoilers. It becomes obvious.

    ReplyDelete
  61. ****SPOILER ALERT********>>>>>>
    >
    >
    >
    >
Carol DIES real early in the Prison storyline in the comics
and Beth doesnt even EXISTS in the comics, lol...☺...

    ReplyDelete
  62. I hope Beth is not put under Carol's "care". Like it was her responsability. This is just getting old. LOL

I hope Beth or the villains are the only responsible for her death.

I have my shipping preferences but saying both Beth and Carol are Daryl's chicks sounds like the lamest love triangle ever. Urgh. xD

    ReplyDelete
  63. There wast more than one rumor about Beth's demise. I believe the one you refer to is a different one. The biggest clue is the lack of sightings. Everyone else has been spotted way later. She wasn't.

    ReplyDelete
  64. I think seeing Carol continue and dealing with everything and interacting with the group would be much more interesting than giving her some sort of redemption death.

I think Beth dying by saving someone would not only make a non fan favorite character death count but would also be a paralel(which TPTB are also found of) to how Hershel died. I think since they mentioned a hostage trade sort of situtation in some spoilers maybe Beth tries to negotiate or refuses to leave Carol behind or to allow Noah to be imprisoned again so she makes a sacrifice for both Carol and Noah and something like what happened to Hershel happens. During the "negotiation" someone stabs or shoots her or something and all hell breaks loose. Noah and Carol are free. Beth dies.

    ReplyDelete
  65. A reason I think it could be Beth that dies and not Carol is because in the opening credits Emily Kinney is sharing her screen with Chad L. Coleman and will be really easy to edit out if she is no longer in the show as opposed to Melissa McBride who is smack bang in the middle of the sequence.

    ReplyDelete
  66. That's very interesting. My theory since the beginning of the season was that Bob would go first, then Beth then either Ty or Sasha(but after seeing the season I'm leaning towards Ty).

I think the show is on a point that the "soft" people will mostly be gone. Though I love Tyreese.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Not to mention things are filmed out of order for many reason and one of those is to throw spoiler hounds off the scent.

    ReplyDelete
  68. I HATE to even think this but if it isn't Carol who dies ( honestly not many would care if it was Beth ) I have a funny feeling it will be Daryl who dies scarificing himself so Carol, Beth, and the gang can get away.

Once dead Carol and Beth will bond and become a team sort of like Thelma and Louise. Carol with teach Beth everything she knows turning her into a warrior like herself.

    ReplyDelete
  69. I reckon Sasha's a gonner too, Sonequa Martin-Green is pregnant so I don't know how that would fit into the show, but I could be wrong..

    ReplyDelete
  70. I don't think they would kill both off at once. Maybe they could fit in her pregnacy I don't know. A lot of technology these days :p

I was just surprised they gave her a significant role this season cause she never really got developed. Ty seems to have a hard time dealing with a lot of things and he let Martin get away. But I could be wrong and they both live or both die I don't know.

    ReplyDelete
  71. They never edit any name out during the season. Sarah Wayne Callis was in the opening credits of 3x16.

    ReplyDelete
  72. I know much more people who care about Beth than about Carol and most of them aren't shippers of anything.

    ReplyDelete
  73. They edited out Scott Wilson, Michael Rooker and David Morrisey..

    ReplyDelete
  74. That's true, Ari, and it would definitely help a character like Beth (who has grown a great deal over the past season, but is still nowhere close to the fan favorite Carol is) go down with some power and dignity -- as you say, in a way that echoes her father.

From a practical standpoint, I agree that there would be some pretty serious stakes to writing Carol off the show ... Melissa McBride has some major acting chops, and there's so much they could still do with her character. So you may definitely be right -- and it would be interesting to see what Beth's self-sacrifice might do to the friendship between Carol and Daryl, and to each of those characters individually. I'm so interested to see which way the writers decide to go with this.

    ReplyDelete
  75. They like to say no one is safe but they need to be careful with the deaths as to not alienate fans. MMB is the best actor IMO and she really makes you connect with whatever storyline they give her. Carol became a fanfavorite and very compelling character. She's just now getting praise from the critics(which does matter for them). I think she's safe for this season.

As much as I enjoy a good paralel I feel like Daryl and Carol are two characters who suffered a lot(and often) because of feelings of guilt over things they can't control(Sophia,Hershel, etc). I hope they can help each other move on and that we get to see Maggie react to Beth's death. I don't feel like she fully dealt with it. It's a big moment in the comic when she loses her last living relatives. I want to see how the story unfolds from now on :)

    ReplyDelete
  76. That's definitely one aspect of the writing that's been a little off for me since the fall of the prison. I totally get that these characters have steeled themselves against losing loved ones; and I caught Maggie's question about Beth in the boxcar voice-over. But other than that, it almost feels like those two don't quite ... remember each other? :)

I thought the way Glenn and Maggie chose to head north was kind of abrupt (everyone had just reunited, after all). So I'm guessing that if Beth DOES die, and Maggie stays with Abraham's group, we won't be seeing her immediate reaction. As you say, in the comic we definitely got a cathartic moment. But the way the show has set this up, their "sister" relationship now feels like a strange, blank void to me.

    ReplyDelete
  77. I don't have to be a Carol fan or a Beth fan to smell a good story, I don't even have to like Garreth or The Governor to know they had great stories.

Fan service is what ruins network shows "what 'the fans' want" what damages Once Upon a Time (more Frozen!), The Vampire Diaries (Delena! No, Stelena! No, Delena again!) or Grey's Anatomy (I don't even know what the plot was they have changed it to please "the fans" so much).

When a show is really good - as in The Walking Dead, The Good Wife or Game of Throne good - the writers have their own story to tell. Fanservice be damned.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Actually killing Beth off now would be stupid. She has grown and now a lot of people love her. She is the character that has most potential now.
Also it would be a waste after everything that has happened. If they wanted her dead it should have happened last season.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Well I'm not a Beth fan and I'm not a fan of the storylines they gave her. I'm not a fan of the acting either but I tried to imagine Beth was another side character, one that I liked,T-Dog for example. I decided I would definitely rather them getting developed before being killed off.

If they just killed her off last season. Would anyone care back then? Unlikely. She would be another T-Dog and that's it. The whole point IMO was to develop her before killing her off so SOMEONE would feel her death. Instead of being just another redshirt. But I suppose it's a matter of perspective and no one wants to see their favorite die.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Carol dying for Beth doesn't pose any conflict whatsoever: Beth would remain the sheltered character. Now Beth dying for Carol, on the other hand, changes things as Beth would not be acting as the sheltered character if she really is gambling to save someone else.

Like I said, the death of Beth may cause a rift between Carol and Daryl, Rick and Daryl, Carol and Maggie and probably Maggie & Glenn+Tara which moves the story forward for everyone in a way that Beth returning to the fold would not.

    ReplyDelete
  81. I this were "The Zombie Diaries" or some other show at the CW I'd agree: people love her and that gives Beth love interest potential as Daryl's, Noah's or Rick's.

Problem is: this ain't a romance novel. There's no room for courtship on a zombie apocalypse or at least not the way we're used to on teen shows.

    ReplyDelete
  82. I agree. I'm honestly barely even invested on their relationship anymore. My favorite thing about the two was the family dynamic and they ruined it for me personally,on s4.

I don't know what they can do to fix it. But I hope they do something. Maybe Maggie was shutting down her emotions or something? I don't know.

At this point I don't know what to expect.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Characters have to earn their death on The Walking Dead: they are not killed off just to further the romance between two other characters, because it's convenient or because "the fans hate them".

Lori wasn't disposed when it was convininent, no one hated Hershel when he died, we wished The Governor dead so many times I lost count, no one could believe Garreth died, Sasha wasn't ready to lose Bob any more than Tyreese to lose Karen.

    ReplyDelete
  84. I feel like Beth is more of a impulsive person than one for planning. The way she spoke about Carol was always very fondly and with admiration. If she saw Carol in trouble she would do whatever to help. Plus she wouldn't allow Noah to be imprisoned becuase of her. Not matter if he volunteers. I think her niceness and impulsiveness will cause her demise.

I don't see all the conflicts you mentioned happen. Except Maggie x Carol and Maggie x Daryl. Cause one person grieving a person specially a young one tends to want to put blame on someone and can lash out.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Yeah people complain when they kill "just" redshirts and they complain some got "too much development" to be killed. I think the network will keep people like Daryl alive cause he brings money but most of them are at risk at all times.

    ReplyDelete
  86. No one would blame Beth for Noah or Carol. No one would, its not expected of her to save anyone. Should they die, it poses no conflict for them.

However, Carol would be blamed for Beth, especially since Maggie knows about Karen & David, particularly since Daryl wasn't told about Lizzie & Mika, largely because Tyreese knows about them, mostly because Rick no longer cares as long as Carol is with them.

It poses conflict for all of them

    ReplyDelete
  87. Carol and Daryl will have a bottle episode taking place before she gets taken. I think for sure they will talk about Lizzie&Mika.

I tink Maggie could lash out at people in a more irrational way. Don't think Carol or Daryl have anything to do with it myself but it's a possibility. She could also be just bitter Noah and Carol made it and not Beth.

    ReplyDelete
  88. I need details on that. Did SWC showed up in full Lori costume? Cause actors sometimes visit the set while not filming but MMB was in full Carol costume. And if she died on mid season finale that would be like 7 episodes she is "pretending" to film. I don't think they would spare all that money. But I don't know.

It all sounds too conspiracy theory to me.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Carol is not talking about the girls neither is Tyreese, but at least he knows about them for he was there when it happened. That's a huge part of Carol's life Daryl's is not privy to, perhaps for the first time.

It's poses conflict even if Beth doesn't die, even if Rick won't find out, even if no one in that group tells Carol what Rick has done to Garreth and Joe.

That's simply not the case for Beth: everyone knows what she did and didn't do with Daryl, said knowledge poses no conflict for Maggie, it isn't cause of stress for Tyreese, it doesn't even registers with Rick.

    ReplyDelete
  90. I definitely agree that "fan pandering" can kill even the most awesome show. And I totally agree that TWD has gradually evolved its writing into some of the strongest on TV -- Gimple keeps his end-point in mind at all times, which leads to some kick-a$$ payoff moments.

Yet I always cringe a little when I see a show getting insanely popular (even when it's well-deserved, like this one). That's when I worry most about studio execs steering outcomes in service to the fans, as a way to avoid letting viewership (and thus sponsor $$$) decline.

Kirkman talks a tough game, but I already suspect there are certain "fan faves" he just won't touch (such as Daryl, and Daryl). :) And I'd SO love to be wrong!

Personally, I do feel like they cheat a little -- building up a secondary character so he/she feels more "major," simply to kill them off. This comes across like a shell trick to me: "Look over here, we're killing off major characters!" -- while meanwhile, Rick/Michonne/Daryl stay under the "safe" shell. It hasn't happened enough to really bug me yet -- but by the same token, I wish I believed them 100% when they say "nobody is safe."

    ReplyDelete
  91. Nope, can't speak to whether SWC actually stayed on-set after Lori died in "The Killer Within." I was just pointing out that they had the actress go on every single press junket with Andrew Lincoln, and continue to answer everything in present tense. She even speculated as to how her character would evolve in upcoming seasons. I remember, after her death episode aired, somebody asking SWC (whom I adore, despite the cr@p-tastic writing for Lori) if the showrunners made her do this to mislead fans, and whether it was tough for her to lie. And she kind of smirked and said, "Well not really, you know -- I'm an actress." :)

    ReplyDelete
  92. Oh I see I thought she spend a lot of time going on set on costume. I think lying during interviews is expected though but actually being there everyday since early on costume and leave late on the other day and they would have to pay her to do that. Sounds like too much effort. lol

We do know the actors visit set to support each other.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Yeah, that's true, there's serious expense involved. Though I seem to remember Jon Bernthal saying something (??) about reporting to set for a fixed period of time after Shane's death, to support the other actors but also because producers wanted to keep viewers guessing (i.e., it was written into his contract). I would guess that now, with TWD being SO popular, they may be even more motivated to do that. But I see your point -- it would be pretty pricey to have MM hanging around in full costume all day, just to confuse us!

    ReplyDelete
  94. The Walking Dead is unpredictable, in any other show Garreth would be shaped as a season long villain (the next Hannibal, Victoria Greyson or Joa Carrol), which lend to shock once Rick did exactly what he said he would do.

Tough characters like Merle, Shane or The Governor are never killed off, a love interest never meets the fate that Lori, Karen or Bob did. The fact we saw Sophia walk out of the barn, Patrick bleed to death or Lizzie stab her sister was devastating because TV children are "supposed to" stay cute.

Michonne isn't a teenager, Daryl isn't cute, Carol has never been seductive nor sexy, so you don't expect them to survive on CW shows yet the fact they do survive here is what makes the show popular. And it's not just the adult audience the show its targeted for, younger audiences that, supposedly, already have their own formulaic format of supernatural shows are turning to The Walking Dead for entertainment.

The fact the show has these ratings despite it revolves around a widower that doesn't date, a gnarling scenario without cool clothes hair products or even soap and characters that don't have the primal need to rip each other's clothes like the characters from Scandal must be puzzling for some networks trying to reach the same numbers

  95. Carol will commit suicide for the greater good of the group

  96. You know that this is an actor whose "autographs" were sold? And you know that some fanatic fans who visit a Con don't represent more than 100 million people who watch this show around the world?

    ReplyDelete
  97. I'm wondering about that too. It would be a smart move, as popular as both Rick and Daryl are, to have each head a show. I can't imagine them not doing that.

  98. I think the site knows who is the mid season death, they're just not releasing it, because TWD wants that shock value they got with Hershel's death last season. Fans are going to be shocked and some are going to be beyond pissed because they're counting on Beth to die, so Carol can finally get some booty. Evidently, that's the only way she can get it. How sad is that thinking?

  99. Who said anything about ships? Then according to you Carol/Daryl shouldn't happen either despite the fact lots of people just want Beth death so their stupid ship can happen.

    ReplyDelete
  100. I think it's sadder that that shippers have such an inflated self-important attitude about their ship that they think that TSDF would throw away years of hard-earned credibility and attention to detail so they can piss off a small portion of the fandom.

  101. TSDF Facebook is now citing STDF as the source of the spoiler. Yeah their standing by their information. It surprises me that these people who claim to be fans, can't figure out who the mid season death is. They got lucky last year. All they had to do was add one and one. This year they're being deliberately misled and they can't seem to be able to think outside the box.

  102. What Carol and Daryl have, albeit deeply emotional and powerful, is not courtship - or, at least, not what passes for it on teen shows - it didn't develop overnight, the connection didn't start just because "people loved her" or Daryl had love interest potential.

The characters gravitate towards one another in a way that hasn't even defined itself yet.

  103. I don't care if Beth lives or dies, so whether they're right or not,it doesn't matter to me. But I know that if they are right (which they likely are), I'm going to scroll through the twd spoiler tag on tumblr and have a good long laugh at the "BETH IS JESUS" tinhatters.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Well, they're not. They're shippers who are hoping for Beth's death to pave the way for Carol to finally get that piece of ass she's been working on for over four seasons. Of course, someone could have been screwing with them, feeding false information for shits & giggles. Now that would be funny. Overlooking clues even given in the episode for a source they can't pin down. That's what they get for being stupid.

  105. You might be onto something there. And it's looking like neither Beth nor Carol make it to the Safe Zone. Can't wait to read the reaction at the end of the midseason finale. Oh hell, I can't wait to read the reaction for episode 506. The name of the episode, "Consumed" says everything.

    ReplyDelete
  106. She's in episode 509 and 510, according to clues in the episode. The Spoiling Dead Fans said they never made claims, just assumptions. This is who they site. www.thespoilingdeadfans.com. They're making assumptions that I can see. Not sure who got the scoop. The midseason death starts in episode 506.

  107. You think TSDF are shippers? Are ypu getting that from the same source as those "clues" about Beth not being dead?

    ReplyDelete
  108. "Clues in the episode"? Yeahhhthst sounds like fan speculation and i really don't trust fan speculation. Again, I don't care if she lives or dies, but I'm still gonna trust their info in general, especially since theor other spoilers about Ty and the Gin property make sense, so you can stop trying to convince me otherwise now.

    ReplyDelete
  109. But you trust spoiler sites. That's rich.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Are they shippers? A lot of them are. You would know if you were a member. I look at the pictures. Read what is printed elsewhere. Listen to interviews given by TWD people and I watch the show. I got it though. You're hoping for Beth's death too. Well JD is a good drink to drown your sorrows in. Done.

    ReplyDelete
  111. ....um yes? Because that's their purpose? lol

    ReplyDelete
  112. Can I get some receipts or links? Don't put words in my mouth, I don't hope Beth dies. I've defended her against some of the mean Caryl shippers in the past. You don't have to get pissy just because I don't believe that Beth is jesus or whatever.

    ReplyDelete
  113. I just hope it isn't Beth or Daryl. My fav characters on the show. Anyone else but them! With that said, it will most likely be Beth...even if it would kill me too!

    ReplyDelete
  114. You said Beth was Jesus. I didn't. Google "spoiling the dead" and that will give you links to several sites. Look for the shipper links. I left one about as soon as I joined because when I said I liked Beth they all came out of the woodwork to jump on me for various stupid reasons, all the while displaying a picture of Carol. It doesn't take much to figure out that quite a few feel the character threatens they're favorite ship but it's just a show, and there's no need to take aggressions out on someone you don't know.
