    This is the episode where Damon uses Ric as an unwilling participant and where these two team up with Liv to attempt to get Bonnie back. It's unlikely they're discussing anything personal at this point. These two are going to be in scenes together whether they're together or not. Let's not flip out over nothing.

    That's most probably salvatore mansion.Since elena getting trapped in the 1994 purgatory is highly unlikely,we have to assume the anti-magic spell is lifted by some way.

    Not really. In TVD's key demo (W18-34) it's holding steady and continues to tie with The Flash for #1 on the CW in that demo.

    Actually I think Elena and Damon are gonna go the 1994 dimension to save Bonnie. Based on a BTS picture on twitter they also had a scene in front of the Gilbert house with the guy who plays Luke. I don't think the conversation they're having is again one of their fights or sth...they seem to be on a mission.

    The first 4 seasons have a case on you. Besides that, it's clearly not working for most of the audience, to the point that they just can't stand their scenes. The writers should take a hint but instead they're straight up fan servicing twitter hashtags. How ridiculous is that? #DelenaRainKiss was shoved down the writers throat for months and they actually wrote it just to pander. How weak is that? LOL

    I'm not a DE fan but I am sick to my back teeth of people complaining about them. Seriously, it's obvious they're not going away. Stop fucking bitching about it! If you hate it that much, stop watching. But please for the love of all that is holy, stop being so fucking annoying!!! 'I hate them, they're so annoying, they're ruining the show, blah blah blah' - UGH! I get it. You're right, sometimes they are really annoying. But you know what else is annoying? People who hate something but won't.let.it.go. That's annoying for the rest of us. So please, shut the fuck up.

    So why are you still watching? You can't think the showrunners are going to let DE go. It's pretty obvious they're here to stay. If it makes you want to stab your eyes out, that's pretty extreme and I think it would be better for your stress levels if you stopped watching. It would also help out all the rest of the fans who are a little bit sick to hearing people bitch. It's almost as if you're being forced to watch it against your will. You do know you can switch it off, right? The big button at the top of your remote should do it.

    If the writers gave in to your threats and whines and moans, what do you think that would be other than fanservice? What annoys you is that they aren't giving in to what YOU want because they're too busy giving in to the DE people. If I was a writer on the show and one group of fans were quite viciously mean and nasty about how shit the show is, I don't think I'd be falling over myself to give in to what they wanted lol. You catch more flies with honey.

    They've almost always been the main ship of the show going right back to S1. They were the big will they/won't they couple who eventually did.

    The CW is only in this to make money and they keep promoting Delena and keep allowing the writers to continue foregrounding Delena. I guess the people who do this professionally totally disagree with you that Delena's "not working for most people".

    I liked the rain kiss. It was cute, it made a lot of people happy, and it had no impact on the plot. I'm fine with fan service handled in that manner.

    TVD's ratings DOES continue to decline and I am fed up with the DE diaries as much as anyone, but I agree with +Bruce-F. Judging by the synopsis, this is nothing personal. It may have romantic overtones, that's inevitable with their history, but I'm guessing the topic of conversation is Bonnie.

    Uhm, actually, Mo, after 6x07 - which was full of DE scenes even I as an anti-DE fan thought was sort of cute - I checked out JP's twitter, and while some sweet fans showered her with thanks for the DE kiss, there were also quite a lot of hateful and immature tweets from DE fans who were pissed at the woman because they're not happy that it's taking DE this long to find their way back to each other (an inevitable thing really.) I have to disagree that SE fans are immature. Immature and mature fans exist in both fandoms. In all fandoms.

    Except that I haven't been moaning for anything. Nor will I sugar coat things just to get in the writer's good graces and get "what I want" because that would be fan service, something I don't think is fair or good for a show. When the writers write a scene and shove it down an episide just because some fans tweeted them #DelenaRainKiss for months, something is wrong. I'm definitely not alone in this and if the writers want the audience to take the show seriously they just reached a new low with the same recycled scenes for two seasons and a blatant fan service. So me disliking the fan service equals asking for some fan service myself? That makes sense lol.

    There are three options:it is a flashback,Elena and Damon are trapped in 1994 or the anti-magic spell is gone. I think it's the last one because a flashback about Damon and Elena in this episode isn't logical and I don't think they are going to travel to 1994. Although it's too soon to get rid of the spell in my opinion.

    I still watch it because there's plenty of characters I care about, like Stefan, Bonnie and Caroline. And I think that fans are really more tired ofthe delena diaries than people complaining about it, thats actually a good thing that many viewers are expresing their dislike for poor writing and obvious fan service. The sshow rather makes me laugh instead of making me angry, and no, I won't ignore their bull. You're getting a little too personal with your language, though. I'd be careful calling people who are disatisfied with the show bitchy nasty and whiny, that aint nice. As much as I hate the fan service I dont go around calling delena fans names or do I judge whatever they do or their reasons for liking what they like.

    Wasn't Stelena the big ship for the first 4 seasons? Which while annoying at times, at least wasn't created through extreme plot contrivance and hours of annoying toxic crap and out of character moments that make me want to throw my computer across the room. I f*cking hate Delena. It's the worst relationship, of anything I've seen had to endure.

    You're saying it like all people in the fandom loved Stelena when they were the main couple. Lots of people were bored to death by them. My own cousin almost dropped the show back in season 1 solely because she couldn't handle seeing stelena scenes but continued because of the plot. Stelena was the main couple for the first 3 or 4 seasons and despite lots of people hating SE, lots of people also liked them and the writers continued writing them as the main couple...now Delena is the main couple and no matter how many haters they have, a good portion of fandom love them. The reason people who disliked SE didn't drop the show? The writing was brilliant. but now?The matter with the latest season isn't DE being together, it is crappy writing and unnecessary focus on romance. Actually this season the way they're handling things is getting better, the story is more interesting than s4 and s5's and honestly DD's romance is being handled better. As far as I see improvement, I'm happy and fine with whatever couple being the main one.
    Speaking of fanservice, SErs got "resident evil"'s fanfic alt-universe in s5 and klaroliners got theirs in the 100th episode. I guess DErs kinda deserved their own fanservice.

    Julie Plec have always said that Steroline was always meant to be a friendship,a strong one,just like Stefan and Lexy's friendship,but then people started to see them as a couple and they are pratically begging the writers to make it happen.(and it will happen,eventually,trust me).If this is not fan service...

    I know it's a fan service, but isn't that what the writers have been doing for the last 3 seasons? Delena happened, Stebekah, klaroline, and you name it, the last was a damn rain kiss who the writers saw trending on twitter so they used it...we need to face it sooner or later, the old TVD is gone, now it's all about sappy romance, and not so intriguing plot!

    TBH? Yes IMO everyone who doesn't see that is oblivious. It's a teen drama on the CW, they have a formula, it's not rocket science and which ship is the main ship and which ships are roadblock ships is always very obvs. I've loved several CW teen drama roadblock ships (Brucas and Dair fans, represent!) but I was always aware they were what they were.

    And it is of course your prerogative to prefer Elena's relationship with one serial killer with a history of stalking, torture and abusive behavior to her relationship with another serial killer with a history of the same.

    J. Plec: The bottom line is that Elena and Stefan are the true epic love story of the show. Damon is the third point of the triangle.
    K. Williamson: This show is always going to be about Stefan and Elena. It has to be. They’re soulmates.
    K. Williamson: One of the most important things Julie and I wanted to do this season is cement the love between Stefan and Elena. It’s that love story that will be the anchor of this entire show. We have to earn that

    SE WERE the main couple of the show. DE was going to happen one way or another, sooner or later, but CW and the writers - mistakenly, I might add - thought a bigger portion of the audience wanted DE. IMO, the fandom has always been divided, and some people only liked DE before they got together, in their will they/won't they stage.

    But whatever, you know. It's partly like +Sara (the other one, lol) said, IMO, one of the main reasons people dropped the show is crappy writing and needless focus on romance. I can deal with DE. I think Damon is a sicko 80 % of the time, but I can deal, so long as the show remembers to focus on the other characters. And they've been writing Damon much better this season - after his regressing behavior in s5, I'm hoping he stays this way.

    You know adult 18-49 demo is what is considered for renewal purpose in which the show is tanking week after week.I love the show as much as u do but don't sugarcoat it.The ratings are plummeting and the reason for it is very obvious.I don't need to spell it out.

    Bc it's an aging show and while there are a couple of exceptions that's almost always what happens to aging shows. Ratings significantly decline. Are you really gonna argue that the CW doesn't do research into what makes them $ and what doesn't? Do you really believe they'd be letting Delena go on if they thought it was bad for business?

    Joy, you saw the ad rates for the CW just as I did. TVD is making by far the most money per ad this season (and $ is all the CW cares about) on the CW and it's bc it still gets great W18-34. The CW isn't selling ads based on TVD's 18-49 rating, it's selling them based on W18-34.

    I think the main they are letting delena go on coz they understands the miniscule amount of viewership that are still sticking around are in majority delena fans and those of the audiences stuck around for good storytelling,have bailed last season.So,why drive away the only thing that's working at present?Otherwise if they drop delena now,the rest audience will also go away.

    What's there to be in denial about?! Ratings ARE down. It's an aging show and a show where except 1 season (S4) ratings have always declined a lot each yr vs the prev yr, meaning each season its hit series low numbers. For a show in it's 6th season TVD is doing fine in 18-49 and better than fine in W18-34 which again is what the CW is gonna sell its ads based on. Ratings will prob do what they always do: decline when it returns after Thanksgiving (esp bc there's that Peter Pan live thing 1 week and Sound of Music live hit TVD's ratings badly last season), rebound in Jan, decline in Spring, rebound a little next Fall. We'll get a full S7 and if we're lucky might get some kind of partial or full S8, which I'm guessing is as much as the leads would ever consider sticking around for anyway and is prob what the CW is aiming for, bc at the end of last season they gave JP a new 3 year contract which would take us thru S4 of TO and S8 of TVD.

    Idk it's hard to say at this early stage but I wouldn't rule out a S8, partic not a shortened one they can promote in "THE FINAL SEASON" way the CW loves to do, lol. TBH when it comes to contract renewals I always ignore anything leads say bc it's usually a negotiating tactic. I've seen way too many actors go around acting like they can't wait to leave, only to sign back up again and again. If the TVD leads mean it or not, we'll have to wait and see, but it's not like any of their careers are doing well outside of TVD.

    But I know what you mean about GG/90210.
