I´m Delena fan, big one actually, but can they please stop already focusing all around them and keep screwing their relationship over and over again because they don´t have anything else to do? Seriously, at this point I would love to see some story line for other characters, Caroline didn´t have any since she was turned into a vampire. It makes me really sad, I used to love this show so much and now I´m just rolling eyes.
Why? Everything she said was true. Her lack of memories and opinion of Damon is redeeming her character bullshit of the last 2 seasons. I like Damon, but honestly he's a bad guy (albeit one with moments of kindness and good). Unless the show ever actually decides to stick to his character development of course.
I completely agree. I started watching again this season because Season 5 was so abysmal. But this back and forth with Delena is close to making me change the channel again.
I know, I feel the same. I love them, but is their goal to make me stop loving them? Seems like it if they keep breaking them up for many stupid things and we all know they will get back together anyway, so why bother. I would rather see some serious story line, something like when they introduced Originals, something big that evolved around everyone. I guess it won´t happen :(
i just don't get why elena says that when she knows NOW that she's compelled to forget her love for damon, and she's been in love with damon forever i mean i would understand if no one told her but now it makes no sense and can't enzo just break out of those chains i mean it's not like they're magically bound to him and he's immune somewhat to vervain and either damon, enzo, stefan, alaric or caroline are going to rip fell's throat out to make room for the Big Bad kai to come in and cause chaos to the gang
She's getting on my nerves too simply because of the fact that-Alaric compelled her good memories of Damon, he didn't compel away her own wrong deeds - idk like planning a genocide just because far too weak to be vampire-. S2 Elena accusing Damon of being a psychotic killer: High-five. Justified. Right! But after S4, Elena isn't even allowed to open her mouth on that subject. She's being a very very big hypocrite. Sure she's telling the truth about Damon, he is a psychotic killer but she's the last person to call him out on that.
Damon's a bad guy? What about Elena? She came up with a massive plan to murder a thousand vampires by killing Kol for her own selfish needs, Stefan is named the Ripper for a reason, and Caroline killed 12 witches when calls Klaus the bad guy. Has everyone forgotten that it was b/c of Damon that their loved ones were able to return. People need to stop acting like they're better than Damon. He has done bad things, but at least he owns up to it and knows he has to live with that.
- How can Damon be that naive? When does anything come that easy for him? - Someone needs to tell Elena to stop giving opinions about Damon. Her vampire lobotomy means she's no longer qualified and every word out of her mouth about Damon is annoying as hell. - I think Matt is going to become Trip Fell Jr. before too long and that's going to suck.
They're all bad people in some way. The thing that makes Stefan or Caroline(arguably) less bad than Damon is that they realize that morally they're no better than people like Klaus and try to do better, and that fundamentally they don't like being bad. Damon on the other hand relishes it most of the time, and turns n a time and does something evil so easily. I like Damon, I think he's redeemable. I think he's mostly good most of the time, but it doesn't change what she said was true. Also when does Stefan not own up to his shit. Caroline yeah she hasn't often, but Stefan he always does.
Elena will look at him, compulsion will be broken and the couple will be happy forever. Oh,Damon,I thought you were more intelligent. But I hope writers won't spend too much episodes with this. Season 5 had enough Delena drama. Caroline finds out what happened to Enzo!I love Enzo and I think he has suffered enough.
Matt may be friends with vampires but he's also been the one who has always complained about this stuff the most. If someone murders Tripp, that just may start changing his mind about things.
I am also more denzo fan than dalaric.I never understood how the two became best of friends in the first place when damon was the reason isobel became a vampire!
I actually can't wait for Elena to remember, if only so people can rub it in to her that when her twu wuv came back from the grave, she was a colossal bitch to him lol.
I actually think it's worse to be like Caroline and Stefan. If you know better, you should BE better. Sitting around and moping about the fact you've killed people is hardly being on the road to redemption lol. What Caroline and Stefan do, different to Damon, is talk about how wrong it is. But they it never stops them from throwing people to the wolves when it comes to doing the right thing or saving who they want saved (the 12 witches or Bonnie's mum, for instance). Talk is cheap. Actions speak louder than words and while Caro and Stefan's talk says they don't want to hurt anyone, their actions say they'll do whatever they have to to get what they want.
* Damon wants Alaric to uncompel Elena, Alaric eventually agrees that the real Elena would want her memories of Damon back. Elena overhears this and takes vervain, because Elena is an idiot. Damon will eventually let it go for the time being, probably giving her some big speech about how they felt about each other and how he wants her to want that back. Whatever they can do to keep her memory away and move on for the time being so they can follow other stories with those two.
* After whatever the fuck happens with Tripp "boring" Fell, Damon wants to go back for Bonnie. They'll run afoul of the Gemini Coven and meet another major villain there. Eventually they do get her out, freeing Kai at the same time.
* Bonnie and Jeremy's reunion is destroyed by Sarah, who is now pregnant with a drunken Jeremy's baby. With Bonnie and Damon bonding and Sarah's parents being killed by Damon, this creates obvious underlying conflict between Bonnie and Jeremy. Bonnie convinces Damon to help her kill Kai, distracting them from them destroyed personal lives, giving them a mission and more time to bond.
* The winter finale ends with Elena getting her memories back and Damon and Bonnie sleeping together. I bet you it happens in the same montage too. It's absolutely something this show would do.
I certainly HOPE Matt will be similar to Tripp. No, don't kill all vampires without reason, but the moment they kill someone, they should be put down. What do you do when a human kills someone else? They're put in prison. Just because vampires find it harder to control themselves doesn't meant they should be given a break, and CERTAINLY not ones like many of our main characters who kill and kill again, sometime for the most stupid reasons, like because they're upset or whatever. Yes, I'm talking about Damon, but also others who are still considered 'heroes'. Heroes for protecting their families? What about everybody else? Our main characters kill way too easily on this show. I was horrified to see Bonnie throw an axe at Kai so easily without the slightest flinch.
I agree. I'm not a Delena fan, but I'm not much of a shipper at all. When I was first told about the show, I almost didn't watch because of the description "A girl is torn between two vampire brothers", but then I found that the show was about much more and I fell in love. But now... I think the writers have let the shipper fanbase get to their heads that they've almost forgotten that this show is about much more than Delena (or Stelena for that matter.)
Wouldn´t say it better. It turned into something I don´t recognize anymore, it´s a shame though, it was really great show when it started. I think that the biggest problem was when Kevin Williamson left the show. It had a horrible impact on it.
Yes, but Bonnie didn't know that. She didn't expect him to rise from the dead. Yes, I get that he is a mass murderer, but it's still not normal for a person to kill someone so directly without even flinching. If someone who was used to killing had done it, I'd be okay with it, but Bonnie has never directly killed a human being. Not that I can remember.
I have no idea, but the writers must think there's some other place to go once you die in that prison (maybe you disappear into nothingness? Maybe you trade that prison for another?), because Kai himself said to Bonnie "You don't think I've tried to kill myself before? Lots of times? Lots of different ways?" Which in my view pointed out to the audience that Bonnie/Damon thought Kai was dead dead. And while we're on the subject, I think I may have read in other spoilers that Damon thinks Bonnie is dead-dead at first. I guess he means Bonnie is just gone from the world.
Stefan doesn't kill generations of innocents because their grand grand uncle-whatever experimented on him. Even AFTER he 'got the girl' and had his humanity switch on. Damon killed Aaron Whitmore and gave Enzo the green lights to choke Jeremy just because he was dumped when, only the season before, he'd seen how utterly broken Elena was over Jeremy's death, so much that he convinced her to turn off her humanity. Stefan didn't basically rape and abuse Caroline. Yes, none of the characters on this show are saints by a stretch (hell, a couple of episodes back I wanted to smack Caroline across the face simply because I didn't find her reaction to Enzo killing a waitress adequate).
I don't want to turn this into a Stefan vs Damon thing, because frankly neither of them are worth one ounce of Angel who suffered for years helping people to atone for sins he knew he could never atone for, but Stefan does more than mope around. He tried to kill himself (Elena convinced him otherwise), because he hated who he was. He was on a bunny diet for years, and the last time he became a ripper was to save his brother's life, not because some girl dumped him.
I don't want to compare TVD to Buffy. Buffy is my show, always has been, always will be. They are two very different animals. One of the main differences between Buffy and TVD is the fact that Buffy characters prize morality - TVD characters do not, unless it suits them. Stefan, Damon, Elena, Caroline etc will do or say anything if it gets them what they want. They are all as bad as each other. I'm sorry, but you can pretend one is worse than the other if you like but for me, an unrepentant murderer is someone who will do the same thing over and over again, no matter what pretty words they say or how bad they seem to feel afterwards. Stefan and Damon (and Elena and Caroline) have killed time and again. They're ALL irredeemable.
I agree about most of it, except that I still stand by statement that Stefan is better in his own ways. I'd rather not get into it. But I will say that I'm happy to meet another Buffy fan. These two shows are not comparable, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't like for her to stake 95% of the vampires in the TVD universe.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I´m Delena fan, big one actually, but can they please stop already focusing all around them and keep screwing their relationship over and over again because they don´t have anything else to do? ReplyDeleteSo much for delena less season 6,we're back to square one!God,sometimes i feel like strangling these two idiotic show-runners(delena fangirls)!!
ReplyDeleteum what about bonnie?
ReplyDeleteElena is getting on my last nerve. She calls Damon a serial killer but what does that make Stefan?
ReplyDeleteWhy? Everything she said was true. Her lack of memories and opinion of Damon is redeeming her character bullshit of the last 2 seasons. I like Damon, but honestly he's a bad guy (albeit one with moments of kindness and good). Unless the show ever actually decides to stick to his character development of course.

ReplyDeleteDamon think she's dead-dead according to the interview from last week, so he's going to lie about what happened.

i don't think so i think matt will kill fell
ReplyDeletewho do you think will ultimately save enzo: damon or caroline?
ReplyDeleteI'm sure Fell will die. If not now, then soon. His influence will still continue to be felt by Matt though.
ReplyDeletewhy? matt is friends with vampires
ReplyDeleteso you're more denzo than dalaric? lol
ReplyDeleteMatt may be friends with vampires but he's also been the one who has always complained about this stuff the most. If someone murders Tripp, that just may start changing his mind about things.
ReplyDeleteMe too! Besides the Damon/Stefan reunion (which was great) the Damon/Enzo reunion is the one I'm really looking forward to.
ReplyDeleteI am also more denzo fan than dalaric.I never understood how the two became best of friends in the first place when damon was the reason isobel became a vampire!
ReplyDeleteI want to ring Elena's neck, give Damon a hug, Save Enzo, Kill Tripp....In that order.
ReplyDeleteHopefully no one.

I read the same thing. Damon gets his clue about Bonnie in 6.07 and Ric and Stefan are off to seek the Gemini coven in 6.08.
