ReplyDeleteSupernatural has a lot of subtext from the first season. (Wincest) Then came Destiel, writers and producers created the subtext and fans have intensified the relationship between Dean and Castiel. The writers give subtext to the fans because they know fans love the subtext but not
because it real.
To me they have not given me any real proof that Dean is gay or bisexual. I admit, I had my doubts at first with Castiel, but then the doubts disappeared when Cas slept with a woman and wanted a date with a human (woman). Dean is not gay or bi because if it were, we would have already saw it in a scene. Dean is not a teenager who does not know what he wants, he is an adult man who likes women. We all know the personality of Dean, if he is bi he would have kissed or had tried to have a relationship with a man. And that has not happened!! Dean is not a shy guy, if Dean wants to be with a man in bed, he would sleep with one.
I feel very bad that all people, including the producers of SPN, believe that all fans of the show love Destiel. That's not true. I have nothing against the subtext or the fans who ship Destiel. But I don't like Destiel, I don't believe it simply because it is not true and never will be. I respect the fans who love Destiel but I hate that some of them want to imply that the entire Supernatural's fandom loves Destiel and asking the writers to clarify once and if they should end up together or if Destiel will happen because they believe is true. WTF?
We must learn to see reality from illusion. Fans have intensified the subtext but the writers just continue because some fans love it like Wincest too. But that does not mean it's true. Also bothers
me that the craziest fans call to others homophobes just because don't ship Destiel. Even Jensen was insulted, that's ridiculous!!! Jensen Ackles is the only one who can say if his character is gay or bixesual. No one else can tell. If Jensen Ackles says Dean is not gay or bi is clear that he's not. Jensen has been Dean almost 10 years, he more than anyone knows if his character is gay, Bixesual or straight.
I think Dean and Castiel have a deep friendship. They have a very strong bond and love each other. But not in a romantic way!! Besides, Dean Winchester is the best hunter in the world. I don't see precisely to Dean ending his days with a supernatural being. We all see the handsome Misha but actually his true form of an angel can be terrifying or as big as a building. I get the feeling that some Destiel fans who really want to happen in the show, the only way they can defend their ship is saying that Dean is bixesual. And sorry, but he's not. No Destiel argument has big weight to me.
