damn, they're totally setting Rebekah up to accept Esthers offer.
I'm just so pleased that they present child birth as a true miracle on this show....and finally...my favourite brother/sister relationship is back. I know people loved this messed up fighting Rebekah and Klaus always had but Elijah and Rebekah share something that little siblings share: true understanding and care
Rebekah has been talking about wanting a baby and being human since Season 4 on TVD - so I could totally see them sticking her in a new body and taking Esther's deal. Although I don't see why she can't keep the baby, it's not like Hayley has shown any interest in actually raising her because if that was the case she wouldn't be in NOLA still.
I swear to god if they put Rebekah into another body so Claire doesn't have to come back Im officially done with the show, I'd even dare to start a campaign to cancel it, the only good character in the show and it god demoted to a couple episodes...that was already bad enough.
Please don't let Ester stick Rebekah into another body. Damn! I will be so disappointed. This way there is always hope of Claire Holt returning or recurring in later seasons. I hate change. But at the same time Rebekah badly wanted to have a child of her own. It will be cool to have all the siblings at the same place.
so they are what trying to make this show into Parenthood?! a baby for me a baby for you babies babies babies on a effin vampire show gawd this show i just got to say goodbye to my favs this show has ruined all of them and even though i gave up watching it a while ago i just keep hoping it would turn good but nope nope nope
i'm with you. rebekah and kol were the best and instead of the cool kids we got 2 crybabies.... i'm so disappointed with this show, i cant even... i stopped watching immediately when Claire left and i have no regrets. I'd rather watch Gotham. Speaking of Gotham, quote of the week:
"Watching Gotham and then changing the channel to The Originals is like eating Filet Mignon and then being offered McNuggets for desert. Gross."
I'm assuming Rebekah will learn about Dahlia and the 1st born thing before she takes Esther's offer. Rebekah obviously has grown attached to Hope and keeping her Original Vampire super powers is the best way to keep her niece safe.
I believe she'll choose protecting Hope over being human and raising a family of her own.
"and finally...my favourite brother/sister relationship is back."
I love them, too. I know we are in the minority and most fans prefer the dysfunctionality of Klaus/Rebekah, but there's just so much dysfunction going on with the Mikaelsons already that sometimes it goes overboard and a normal-ish sibling relationship like Rebekah/Elijah ends up being the freshest breath of air.
It reminds you why all these crazy people even bother sticking together and calling themselves family.
There's no need for Hayley to live in NOLA though. She could have taken the baby away and been raising her just as Rebekah is doing right now. Hayley chose NOLA over her child.
It would be pretty suspicious if both mother and child conveniently died, though. Someone would eventually wonder if perhaps they weren't hiding somewhere. They had to find a dead newborn body to fool the rogue werewolves. If Hayley had dies, they 'd prob have to find a body that looked like Hayley's.
People calm down !!! Just wait for the episode before jumping on conclusions... It's unbelieveble how people freak out for no good reasons Lol And even if what you say is true , we knew that claire would be back only for few episode until she won't for good so it's not a news ! .....
Last night episode was so good while I missed more scenes with Haley and Elijah but I enjoyed the Elijah and Klaus scenes. Elijah and Hope that is so cute, this is the first time he got to hold the baby. I am happy that Rebecca is back. So is Elijah back to himself, hes acting normal in this scene. As long as Elijah does not take the deal, love Daniel Gillies. And I hope Rebecca does not take the deal but she is more likely out of all of them to take the deal. To bad Elijah cant have a kid he would be a great father. I guess Haley is with Jackson (yuck). Yes I don't like Jackson. Why is Haley not there??? I guess she is worried about the wolves. I guess no Haley and Elijah scenes this episode. This should be a good episode.
Ruin the character? As in the character who was after the Cure in TVD so she could become human and have a family? I've been saying since we found out about Esthers plan that if Rebekah came back (which we knew was happening) there would at LEAST have to be a conversation about her feelings about it.
From a character perspective, I wouldn't be surprised by Rebekah accepting Esther's offer and having a human life. It's been a huge part of her character since before the Cure storyline. Think about her in early season 3, talking about going to Homecoming. It would make so much sense, and I'd be so happy for Rebekah to finally have that. But the idea of another actress playing Rebekah sounds horrible. Not that I don't think there's an actress capable, but because Claire Holt is just brilliant in the role, and after what, four years? in the role, it'll be hard to accept someone else. Although I am one of the few who likes Daniel Sharman as Kol, although that's more because Nate (who was also brilliant) appeared a lot less, so I wasn't as attached to home as I am with Claire.
Man, I'm just not that into Hayley, so I don't think about her that much, but hasn't she been trying to free her pack from Esther's control? Isn't she supposed to be werewolf royalty? So at least Jackson, the alpha of her pack and fiance or whatever, cares, for one.
She knows Hope's alive and with Rebekah, so she's a potential target and Klaus probably doesn't want her out of his sight. I'm betting he'd rather the mother of his bundle of joy NOT to be killed.
Other than that, IDK. I honestly don't give the character much thought. She's there. She'll probably continue to be there for as long as the show exists. I've accepted it for as long as I've watched. Finger crossed I won't be watching for much longer.
Sometimes it takes more love to give one's child away versus to keep that child. Toni Morrison's book Beloved clearly articulates that. Kudos for Hayley in making that extremely tough decision.
It will be interesting to know if Freya is alive. But barring of course Claire can't commit fully to the role, I would prefer for another actress to take it on. They need a sister.
It would be kinder for them to bring in Freya, at least Claire can come back if she can or feels like she wants to.
Its official, I am obsessed with Baby Hope. This is soooo awesome that we will get to see her next epi. Seriously, everyone needs to be reminded as to why they are all in this mess.
I also want to see folks on the show getting along -- family wise, just for a minute.....
I don't think that Claire thinks about coming back, she has moved on to Aquarius and her motives seem to be rather clear: make it big. I'm not mad at her but it seems a bit...well...unreasonable. She seems to have grown tired of the character
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteOmg!!! Rebecca and Hope!! And lets not forget Elijah and baby Hope. Probably the cutest thing ever.
ReplyDeleteClaire was the one that wanted to leave, not the writers fault if an actress wants to be more
ReplyDeletePlease don't let Ester stick Rebekah into another body. Damn! I will be so disappointed. This way there is always hope of Claire Holt returning or recurring in later seasons. Hayley's still in NOLA to help Klaus make it a safer place for Hope to return to and because of her pack and Jackson and werewolves and yawn.
ReplyDeleteGod, I have no time for werewolf drama. Even Klaus and Ansel bonding time bored me. I really should quit this show.
There's no need for Hayley to live in NOLA though. She could have taken the baby away and been raising her just as Rebekah is doing right now. Hayley chose NOLA over her child.

ReplyDeleteAwwww Rebekah. That's nice. But don't take Esther's offer...IT'S A TRAP! Take Hope and run.

Jackson and Haley I dont think so. Elijah looks good with a baby
ReplyDeleteI really adore this. Amazing!
ReplyDeleteYep, since the actress has other things to do....I would prefer a Rebekah over no Rebekah character....
ReplyDeleteSometimes it takes more love to give one's child away versus to keep that child. Toni Morrison's book Beloved clearly articulates that. Kudos for Hayley in making that extremely tough decision.
ReplyDeletewell I think that's what Freya will be for, it's not a coincidence that they introduced the thought of a older Mikaelson sister.

I like them, so let's forget it
ReplyDeleteI like both. I prefer Klaus/ Elijah's brother one above all though.
ReplyDeleteI can not wait to see Hope and Rebekah finally back
ReplyDeleteDavina is about to darken up the joint with the magic Kol showed her. She like's Kol and she is not having it.
