I don't watch this but wat at this early cancellation. This is weird.
ReplyDeleteHallelujah!! Thank god CBS everyone was predicting it to go to syndication but I knew they would cancel it in favour of scorpion which was losing ratings because of millers.
ReplyDeletePredictable, actually. I kind of liked it, but it wansn't the best thing on my watchlist.
ReplyDeleteAt least, Margo Martindale is free to go to The Americans o/
Ouch. It's super rare for a show in its second season to be just totally shut down as if its a freshman newbie, I thought CBS would at least suffer with it for the second season and maybe just cut its order, but nothing this extreme.
ReplyDeleteWOW
ReplyDeleteBefore The Macwhateverthatnameiswriten? that's interesting. i Finally i have an slot for Mike and Molly. Briing em!
ReplyDeleteScorpion's time will come
ReplyDeleteYou hardly ever see a second season show canceled this early.
ReplyDeleteThis means mom will go on for every long! :) and rightfully so, I must add; a funnier and a show with substance in its core too
ReplyDeleteSo CBS decides to cancel this show first? Weird....
ReplyDeleteDon't watch any comedies but this is certainly a shock. It seems that CBS is just going all out to promote Scorpion as the network's new main show with this move and TBBT re-runs during football. I can see their reasoning behind this. However, I am surprised this received the ax first instead of the McCarthys. I would have expected CBS to help out the majorly struggling Elementary first.
ReplyDeleteWhy I actually like the show
ReplyDeleteFinalllllly
ReplyDeleteWow, weird to cancel a returning show only a third of the way into its season :S
ReplyDeleteHopefully the cast will move onto better projects. Most of them already had betters gigs elsewhere that they left for this crap.
Ha-ha! Take THAT cancellation bear!
ReplyDeleteMy sentiments exactly. I knew it'd be cancelled but in May.
ReplyDeleteDidn't see this coming. At least not randomly in the middle of the second season.
ReplyDeleteThis is strange, but Mike & Molly could premiere finally.
ReplyDeleteI like Will Arnett and the cast but I don't care much for the show itself so I can't say this is overly sad news or even surprising I assumed it was coming if not now by the end of season. Sucks for all the cast and crew though who put so much effort into it.
ReplyDeleteThe curse of Sean Hayes strikes again!
ReplyDeleteCan't say I am surprised. At least we had one season and a bit.....
ReplyDeleteAgreed.....it is not a strong show.....it will get a season and a bit...IMO.
ReplyDeleteOMG
ReplyDeleteSoooo true!
It's cause he is not funny.....
It's weird that The Millers got axed before The McCarthys, it was "the biggest new comedy" last season after all...
ReplyDeleteAnd yet Two and a Half Men reached its final season….
ReplyDeleteDropped it midway through it's first season cause it wasn't very good so this doesn't surprise me at all. I still expected to last the entire season and get canceled in May though.
ReplyDeleteThe Millers weren't my cup of tea, but when I saw Sean Hayes added to the cast I knew that was sure going to lead to the shows earlier exit, but not to just blame him cause it had already been on to long!!
ReplyDeleteWith the Millers cancelled, does that mean CBS might announce more cancellations?
ReplyDeletewell i guess this makes me feel better about 2BG's chances for renewal. I figured that with Millers being CBS produced it would get renewed over 2BG even though its ratings were worse but I guess i feel more optimistic about 2BG's chances now. though i thought it was a horrendously unfunny show, i am sorry for fans of The Millers!!
ReplyDeleteyeah! i want M&M back! they'll probably do TBBT reruns until like January just to give Scorpion another boost and then bring back Mike & Molly
ReplyDeleteIt sure was way off on their prediction xD
ReplyDeleteThis is really rare, and I really thought CBS is going to drag this into syndication. But I think the fact that it totally crumbled on Mondays bringing Scorpion down, cannot really be lifted even when The Big Bang Theory was the lead-in, and the fact that Mom manage to hit series high after The Big Bang Theory really exposed it as a huge weak link with little redeeming value. Might as well cut the losses.
ReplyDeleteTwo Broke Girls is actually doing well. The Big Bang Theory and whatever is behind The Big Bang Theory will be renewed. With Two and A Half Men out, and The McCarthys struggling and now The Millers struggling, TBBT, 2 BG, Mom and Mike and Molly will all get renewed unless CBS wants to limit their comedies to 2 hours.
ReplyDeletehaha i would say the Millers is more than struggling considering it's cancelled. but no i totally agree with you. before this cancellation i was just nervous that The Millers would get renewed over 2 broke girls because it is CBS owned and 2 broke girls is not, but obviously thats not a possibility anymore
ReplyDeleteThe mccarthys
ReplyDeleteVery weird but not much of a surprise. The only surprise is that it happens so early into the season. I hope its removal from the schedule will help Scorpion.
ReplyDeleteSurprised it lasted this long.
ReplyDeleteWHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT????????????? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWell, this is surprising!I thought it was nowhere near the cancellation radar!
ReplyDeleteYay now Margo Martindale is free to be in good things again, seeing as filming on The Americans S3 must still be happening hope they they find room for her.
ReplyDeleteThis season has been so much worse than Season 1, so I cannot say I am shocked it is getting cancelled.... I am shocked at the timing though!
ReplyDeleteI'm wondering if thee was some behind the scenes reason for doing it at this very odd time...
I am happy about this. The show is awful, the ratings are awful and I am glad the CBS made the right call and didn't keep it more two more years for syndication. It didn't even deserve to get a 2nd season.
ReplyDeleteNow Mom and enjoy the post-TBBT slot for the rest of the season.
Mike and Molly has a full season order so I see it coming back earlier.
ReplyDeleteYeah, lol
ReplyDeleteHow are the two related?
ReplyDeleteOh!! Do you think they'll let Mom on Thursday after TBBT?
ReplyDeleteThat'd be awesome for Mom!
eh, idk, 24 always was able to air 24 episodes starting in mid january. i know they always started with a 4 hour, 2 night premiere, but still. i feel like CBS would opt to bring back the show January 5 and run it straight through even if it runs a week or 2 late in may rather then bring it back, air 3 episodes, then go on winter hiatus
ReplyDeleteWell, it's like when you don't want to eat something at your host's place, you keep making excuses and the host keeps insisting that you eat that dish. Same here. Show was so bad even Cancellation Bear didn't want to gobble it up. But CBS, like a crazy host, grew tired and force fed it.
ReplyDelete:P ;) :)
Didn't see this coming... the show totally deserves to be cancelled rating wise, but I really thought CBS would burn it through syndication.
ReplyDeleteExpecting Mike & Molly to return at any moment
Oh, I desperately hope so. Let's hope she comes roaring back as Claudia in the final episodes of S3. I will even take her coming back in the penultimate episode of S3 or even the finale and sticking as a regular in S4.
ReplyDeleteThey might, considering for the 1st 3 episodes, it had produced series high ratings. I think they also want to protect Scorpion with a solid 2 Broke Girls and Mike and Molly combo.
ReplyDelete2.5 Men pulled its weight rating wise, The Millers not so much
ReplyDeleteI think its a real possibility, Claudia is so amazing and I love the tension in her scenes with the Jennings (especially Elizabeth). If not then someone create a great cable show for Margo, she is so talented!
ReplyDeleteSaw it coming just wasnt sure when they were going to finally admit defeat and yank it from the schedule. Mike and Molly will easily fit into the slot.
ReplyDeleteThe McCarthy's needs to go too, The Odd Couple should slot in between TBBT and Mom with Mom and TAAHM moving back half an hour later.
You're happy people lost their job? That's a terrible thing to say!
ReplyDeleteYep. M & M will replace The Millers and The Odd Couple will replace The McCarthys/
ReplyDeleteAnother meal for the Cancellation Bear! bon apite
ReplyDeleteI think the same thing every time someone says they are happy a show is cancelled.... Just disturbs me. Even worse when people assume the cast or crew is happy teh show is cancelled like some did with Anger management!
ReplyDeleteThey're on CBS.
