    This was so good. Barry training with Eddie. My favorite Clock King this time kidnapped Iris. Wells is still mysterious. Iris looks determined. I am happy they are moving her beyond her love life and Barry's crush. Awesome.

    Why is Eddie training Barry? Why not Joe? It feels random that Barry would ask Eddie for help!
    Awww he is quoting what Oliver said to him. Is he going to be called the Flash this season?
    "Some fancy you got over there" "Leather? Nah! This is a reinforced tripa... forget it!" hahahaha, and he's starting to get cocky already? clearly he will get the beating of his life after that wink lol is Caitlin electrocuting him?? and Wells just keeps getting creepier, seriously man what's your deal?!

    He'll be called The Flash in about episode 6 but I already guessed that by the title and I wouldn't really call Barry cocky he just likes his powers he was a fanboy after all so it's not like he wouldn't have fun with them but it's going to suck when Eddie gets suspicious of him because of what he did to the punching bag he's probably going to tell Iris about that.

    Really? You don't say! The show is called the Flash and Barry is going to be called "the Flash"? Wow who would've seen that one coming? That's what I call a twist! What I meant is that I didn't expect them to do it so soon at least not until the season finale or something, I thought that he will be called the Streak for a while especially since Wells said that he would be called the Flash "one day", didn't expect that day to be in a few weeks lol
    I know he's excited about his powers but come on, winking at the bad guy?! It was cute though, cocky but cute lol
    I'm surprised that Eddie is helping him, why Eddie? Barry doesn't especially like him, and why would he risk exposing his abilities in front of Eddie (which is exactly what happened), please tell me that Eddie won't find out and that he won't join the "let's lie to Iris to protect her" club, ugh.

    Is it that much of a difference? I mean having her obsessed with the Flash is still a focus on her love life since Barry is the Flash and in love with her.

    And I'm not at all for the mentality "Its going to be OK the male superhero will come save me" Girl you better get your ass up and save yourself lol

    Barry has a crush on Iris. But she does not know that. Her interest in The Flash is not romantic. According to spoilers she is going to be an intern for a journalist. As she said she wants to let the world know someone is out there helping people. That is her doing something proactive that does not concern her romantic relationships.

    Getting saved by a male hero is a trope we can't escape when it is an action oriented show. How many times have Thea, Felicity and Laurel got saved by Arrow. Good thing in Arrow is they equally put male and female characters in danger. Since Iris is a civilian who does not have any defense training and would go investigating dangerous stuff it's unavoidable. I have no problem with it unless they use her only for that purpose.

    I'm more interested in her journalism story since that will actually develope her character unlike her fawning over the flash which is just a rehash lauriver S1 story.

    Regardless, we still see Thea, Laurel, Felicity try and fight back and escape so I hope Iris does try and escape instead of just sitting and waiting to be saved.

    I just want more for Iris and Eddie is general. Some more depth and development.

    I agree. I hated that arc for Laurel/Oliver in season 1 and I am sure I will not like it this time. I hate this trope for Lois Laine/Superman too. But my hope is that they will keep Iris's interest in The Flash not romantic and any whatsoever romantic undertones are there it will come from Barry. Iris is in a committed relationship with Eddie, I hope her interest in The Flash is to only get him the recognition as a hero that he deserves as a journalist.


    They fucked with laurel in season 1 going that route. She already was confused about Oliver and Tommy while in a relationship with Tommy. They introduced her feelings for the hood to the mix. It made her look so flighty. I know you are a Laurel fan I hope I did not offend you.

    I think the wink was actually at Iris but not sure even if it's I still wouldn't say he was too cocky it's good that he does feel Confidant though. I think Barry does like him it's just him being with Iris he tries to find a reason to hate him but he can't because he's too nice not that I really believe that and we'll see more of that later. I'm not sure why Eddie is training with him maybe something happened and Eddie wants to teach him how to fight better? What Barry did was an accident that's why he looked surprised when it happened. Eddie will confront Iris about there being something more to Barry than meets the eye so not sure what will happen there.

    Haha yeah, what do you think Iris will think whenshe discovers that Barry is The Flash? I mean I heard she'll be attracted to him so I'm sure it will be a shock to discover your best friend and The Flash is the same person.

    She is already infatuated by the Flash so it would be interesting to see her reaction when she finds out that it's Barry, there are two ways that could go: they will take the Lois/Superman/Clark route and make her fall in love with the Flash then find out it's Barry and realize that she loves Barry too OR she will be hurt that he didn't trust her enough to tell her and that he was lying to her all this time especially if she finds out that Joe knew all along.
