The Flash - Episode 1.10 - Luc Roderique to Guest

Nov 11, 2014

KSiteTV has gotten official confirmation that actor Luc Roderique, whose other credits include the Supernatural episode "Blood Brother," the movie Godzilla, and the upcoming pilot episode of iZombie, will be playing Jason Rusch, who first became part of the Firestorm story with his own Firestorm comic book in 2004.

Jason Rusch will be appearing in the show's tenth episode.

Here are the character details on how he'll fit into the world of The Flash television series:

"A graduate student at Hudson University, he was part of Martin Stein's research team on the F.I.R.E.S.T.O.R.M. project. In the DC comics, Jason takes over the Firestorm matrix after Ronnie Raymond's death."

  1. Awww will Caitlin have to lose Ronnie all over again :( I mean I'm team snowbarry but still

  2. Interesting, I wonder how he'll be involved in the Firestorm arc, since I doubt Ronnie is going anywhere any time soon.

  3. they already havea ship name?

  4. so I guess iZombie already wrapped shooting season 1? Could be a great chance to bring back David Anders to Once Upon a Time, Arrow and TVD

  5. Snowbarry sounds like a drink.

  6. iZombie already feels like it's dead(no pun intended) before even it even airs. I wouldn't be surprised if they cancel the show after the pilot.

  7. mac where are you living. They had a ship name before the show aired. It's ridiculous. Keep up!!

  8. So how is he going to work here. May be he will feature in Martin Stein's flashbacks where he does his research and will really die during particle acceleration blow up.

  9. Considering he becomes Firestorm I doubt they bring him in just to kill him before he transforms.

    ReplyDelete
  10. But then why would they bring him so soon then? From the interviews it looked like Ronnie is going to stay for a long time. That's why I think like Linda Park this guy will be only loosely based on comics.

  11. I think he just has a minor role for now but maybe we'll see him help Ronnie and Martin?

  12. yeah I think he will be very loosely based on the comics. No way would they hire Robbie Amell, make a huge deal about the Firestorm character only to kill him off in like 2 episodes.

  13. I still don't get where the Snowbarry thing came from... Olicity on Arrow begun for a very wierd reason that doesn't happen often(A lot of people didn't like the chemistry between Oliver and Laurel and their whole over-dramatic love story); but i always tought Barry and Iris work well on-screen and Caitlin has Ronnie, who's coming back soon.

I really don't see the point on that, other than the writers trying to absorb all the shipper audience giving then 2 choices(aka playing with the audience) after seeing the power of the shipping community since the Olicity phenomenon.

Shippers are a good way to promote the show on media... Still, some of them are way to invested. Some get mad because one episode has "no moments" even if they already had like 3 episodes full of them and are told there's another one coming.

Shippers are a blade with double edges.

  14. probably as a potential replacement in the case that Amell or Garber leave

  15. I am with you! He is delicious!
Oh and yes a great actor. I hope he goes to TO or yes, Sleepy Hollow!!!

    ReplyDelete
  16. I'm with you. Anders is in high demand....he can literally pick and choose his roles.

  17. really? As a dude I can rarely say wether another guy looks good or doesen't (really, I don't see it. With chicks, yes but never with other guys)

Dude has been popping up on my screen ever since his first appearance on Alias , he's this weird actor you ALWAYS see on TV for some reason :P

He has really no purpose on TO, he played Elenas father on TVD

  18. I assume they're going with the 52 version where Jason and Ronnie are both Firestorm and join together to become Fury? I can't think of a reason they'd get rid of Robbie Amell he was decent I'm the role and there's potential for a ton of Firestorm/Killer Frost stories.

I know they cast Victor Garbo as Stein but I could see them killing him off before Ronnie. Only reason I can think of would be if Robbie Smell lined up a long-term gig and becoming unavailable to The Flash.

  19. Maccccccccccccccc. Yay, you are online!

Yep, he is yummy. To me at least. You are gonna hatttttttttte this, but I sometimes watch shows for the beautiful men. Sigh....yes I am shallow.

He can be on any of the shows that I watch....I don't even care if it makes sense for him to be there. LOL

But on the real....he is an incredible actor and no one does bad like him.

  20. Aren't we all kinda shallow?
I made it through TVDs 5th season thanks to Nina Dobrev and whenever I felt annoyed by the characters on Arrow the sight of Felicitys face helps

He is, never seen him give the same or a similar performance on anything he ever did, I would argue that he deserves more than a CW show but for some reason the best actors rarely get the recognition they deserve :(

  21. OMG

    Are we agreeing again?

    Tooooo funny!!

    Amazing!

  22. lol, if we don't fight over fundamental issues like an off storytelling focus our views are actually pretty similar :P

  23. a "just in case" replacement if you ask me. Someone they keep on the backseat in case someone huge drops out.

Amell and Garber aren't regulars, thus free to shop themselves to other networks (although I do believe that we'll see one or both in the main cast in season 2)

    ReplyDelete
  24. Uh huh. :)

    Maybe.

We shall see. (**she twists her curly mustache maniacally!**)

    Muahahahahahaha.

  25. Are you talking about David Anders? He is not cast in The Flash right??

    ReplyDelete
  26. Why would they already put a potential replacement unless Garber or Amell has decided to do only limited episodes. From the BTS talks it felt like Amell is going to be there for a long time. Also Amell is a CW favorite (I dislike his acting so much.. Urgh). My feeling is this guy will be working with Martin Stein pre particle accelerator blow up and will die in the explosion.

  27. Initially I was surprised when the SnowBarry thing popped up. I saw a lot of chemistry between Barry and Iris. I couldn't understand why people would ship Barry and Caitlin. I think some people always dislike the pairing the show tries to promote before it begins. Then I saw the pilot and saw there was potential for a relationship between these two characters but I liked the friendship better. People see what they see.

I hope they don't go on a romantic route with these two. I don't want her to become evil because of romance with Barry. They are feeding both the shipping factions imo. Not much on screen but in Flash comics there was a scene which was clearly indicating Caitlin finds Barry attractive.

Shippers are alright in my book. A small group of them in all shipping fandoms turn obsessive and whine a lot about every scene and every story line. Also sometimes they have a mob mentality. Nothing can be done about it. Internet is an open medium. Most of them are exuberant but respectful to others. The problem happens is when fans of a show as a whole shippers and otherwise put too much importance to what happens on internet and social media than on screen. All factions of Arrow fandom are more bothered about how to prove the other faction wrong on the internet than discussing the show as a whole. IMO the hate squad and defense squad are both annoying in Arrow fandom.

  28. Thank you for this info. Didn't know there was a version where Jason and Ronnie joins. I can see them killing Victor Garbor by the end of the season. CW do have an aversion towards older people. Even though Flash is an exception.

  29. Forgivvvvvvvvvve me, I totally responded in the wrong area. I was making a comment about Mac's wish of having Anders on the show.

I wish David Anders would be on the show, but he apparently was already on the Arrow....

    ReplyDelete
  30. He was... As whom? When? Where? Was it in season 1?

    ReplyDelete
  31. Arrow
    (TV Series)
as Cyrus Vanch in the episode titled Betrayal
    (2013).
According to imdb. After reading this, I realized that it would be hard for them to bring him in as a new character. Makes me sad, as he would be PERFECT for this show. More so then the guy playing Iris's cop boyfriend.
