The Comeback - Season 2 Premiere - Advance Preview: "A Star is Reborn"
7 Nov 2014
BS Reviews The ComebackLast time we saw Valerie Cherish, she was the "star" of a sitcom called Room & Bored, her reality show The Comeback has premiered which did not show her the way she expected. And during her appearance on Jay Leno where she had decided to publicly quit her reality show, she was informed that her her show has been picked up for another season. There she decided to put her dignity aside and continue with the show
In season 2, we pick up with Valerie nine years later. Valerie has been bitten by the reality show bug again and is making a pilot to pitch to Andy Cohen with whom she has been communicating (via Twitter). She has hired a couple of college students as her camera crew who are are following her around the clock. While Valerie is looking at her work over the years after Room & Bored (which wasn't picked up), we see that she has done an independent film, appeared in a few TV shows and developed a haircare range for redheads called "Cherish Your Hair" (check the posters of her work below). She was even part of "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" but quit the show on air.
While working on her pilot, Valerie gets a visit from her publicist Billy who informs her that HBO is making a show titled Seeing Red with her old nemesis Paulie G which is essentially about her. After doing some research which includes acquiring the script of the show, Valerie decides to put an end to the show. She storms into the HBO office to give them a peace of her mind but there something else happens there which she did not expect.
The second season is just as good as the first one and shows poor old Valerie making a fool of herself on camera. If you are one of the people who loved the show's original run and have been waiting for the show to return, I can assure you that you won't be disappointed.
The Comeback returns this Sunday on HBO. Check out the promo for the show below.
