So a Finn centric episode? Really hate him this season.
ReplyDeleteFinn's gotta go.
ReplyDeleteI'm loving crazy Finn, he can't be redeemed at this stage though, killing him off would be the perfect way to end his story and it fits the show a lot better. He can always appear in more flashbacks which I'm glad we are getting cos I miss the Ark!
ReplyDeleteHmm. See and then judge -that's my motto.
ReplyDeleteThe fact that Bob Morley isn't credited in this episode worries me... WHERE WILL BELLAMY BE?
ReplyDeleteI assume they will leave us with a big cliffhanger. Can't wait forvthe episodes and the resolution of the season
ReplyDeleteMid-season finale is Finn centric? We get his backstory? He's so dead. The cast has said that we'll need tissues for this episode and that major deaths will happen.
ReplyDeleteIf they were to ever kill Bellamy off(doubt it), they'd give him a centric first. He'll be fine. Finn centric= Finn death.
ReplyDeleteBellamy better be ok!!!!! I mean seriously he's in the book, they can not kill his character - that would be just a slow way to kill the show!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm assuming Finn will die this episode
ReplyDeleteFinn is not going to die, I cannot believe that. It would be much too predictable, it has to be someone's else.. Not Bellamy, thats for sure. But they always go for the ''oh, no effect'', like with Anya...
ReplyDeleteFinn is going to die. The moment I read flashbacks with Finn and Raven I knew it. Notice how very less matter is in the synopsis? They don't want to reveal much ofc. Bellamy is not going to die coz then I don't think many will watch this show lmao. Plus Bob Morley has been shooting acc to his twitter. Notice they always kill off characters by redeeming them or giving them closure. When Wells died in Earth kills there were flashbacks witth him and Clarke which revealed Wells was innocent and they finally resolved their differences. It is the same here.
ReplyDeleteWell, whatever this episode brings, I'm ready. Or not.
ReplyDeleteIm on the bench with Finn will wait and see how they fix him or if they can although have to say I took a sneak peek on imdb to see how many episodes Thomas McDonell is in so pretty confident he will be in a few more in some shape or form!
ReplyDeleteThe episode 2.09 title is Remember me. So definitely something very big will happen in ep 8. Probably someone will die. But this is just my speculations! The writers building sg very huge. As huge as Well's death. So cannot wait!!!
ReplyDeleteThey better not kill Finn off!
ReplyDeleteNever trust and believe imdb when it comes to episode appearances by actors. Almost always, they are dead wrong.
ReplyDeleteIt looks quite obvious that he may die. Do you see any way that he can be redeemed?
ReplyDeletei dont want finn to be killed off, i like dark finn. and im so happy we got to see what was his relationship with raven like before the whole clarke thing.
ReplyDeleteI missed the ark to but I'm more invested in mount weather.
ReplyDeleteI didn't like him last season but his story is more interesting this season.
ReplyDeleteIt would fit with the show if they decide to kill him off.
ReplyDeleteProbably a finale death.
ReplyDeleteDamn, it looks like Finn will die indeed. It's a shame because I like him, but it makes sense if they do so :-(
ReplyDeleteNot saying that Bellamy will die, but Wells was also a character from the book....
ReplyDeleteLook at that subheading. It should tell everyone something. An eye for an eye or the "law" of retaliation, is the
ReplyDeleteprinciple that a person who has injured another person is penalized to a
similar degree, or in softer interpretations, the victim receives the
value of the injury in compensation. So I don't know if Finn will ultimately die but he will have to pay for
his actions big time! though I feel he's not going to be the only casualty in the episode:(. I do believe that things need to get really bad before they get good and I think Finn's death is really needed in the show coz it will finally end this war between the grounders and Camp Jaha once and for all. So if he dies atleast it won't be for nothing.
I never liked Finn...I could never put my finger on why though. He was more interesting this season, but so is everyone else. I think it's a great time for him to kick the bucket. I'm honestly liking Murphy hundreds of times over more than Finn. I don't know why, but the only characters I seem to be "scared" about dying is Clarke, Anya (R.I.P, i think), Bellamy, and Octavia. I would be a little upset about Murphy or Clarke's ma dying, since I find them cool too.
ReplyDeleteI know but I can live in hope that they wont get rid of some one just because they are having a breakdown, I dont invest myself in any characters, if people think that just because they have a back story ep that means they are going to die then shouldn't others be dead by now too
ReplyDeleteBellamy had flashbacks in season 1 about his childhood with Octavia, and both are still alive. Flashbacks mean nothing except they are telling the past of the cast members....
ReplyDeleteWhy shouldn't he be redeemed ? Kane and Jaha killed 300 of their own on the Arc. There is so much killing on this show, that I fell bad for Finn and what his action will to him. That is what I am concerned about. When became the lives of the Grounders (except for Lincoln) so important, I don't get. A day or two ago the kids were fighting for their lives, and Clarke blew 300 up.
ReplyDeleteWhy would Finn's death change anything? He is just one more dead kid of many, whom they killed since they came down to Earth? Finn wasn't the one blast off the drop ship. For the grounders that was a much bigger hostile action.
ReplyDeleteThere is a difference here. This is the midseason finale. They are going to go out with a bang. With so much going on and a war on the horizon they are not going to waste a whole episode on Finn's past without it being relevant to the actual plot. The synopsis sounds as if Bellamy is dead but in reality it is going to be someone else.
ReplyDeleteOn the contrary. Finn's death( if it happens) would be the biggest turning point in the show. Sorry to say he is not just "another" dead kid. He is the person who restarted the war between the grounders and Camp Jaha. A war which had ended last season finale has been reignited coz of what one person did. Charlotte the little kid who was just 12 years old had to die coz she killed Wells. Was she innocent? Yes, was she the product of how war can change a person? yes but she had to pay the price. Is Finn a bad person? No? But this is the kind of show we are watching where every action has a consequence. So Finn dying is needed in the show not coz of the shock factor but his death makes sense in the story. The person who started the war must end it.
ReplyDeleteThe war never ended, in the season finale the kids defeated the attack of Anya's grounders for the time being. There was always the Commander in the background, plus Camp Jaha was attacked before Finn did anything. Kane went out to try to negotiate because some of his guards were attacked.
ReplyDeleteWhat makes you think the war ended. That was just one battle and let's not forget it only happened three days ago. Five dead people in a village, compared to three hundred warriors? Sorry, but when the commanders count losses, they don't care about the civilians. It may be shocking to us but not to those who make decisions in the Grounder 'verse.
ReplyDeleteAnd consequences? I love Finn will all my fannish heart, but I think death would be too easy a punishment for him now. No, I think making him live with what he's done would be much worse. And much more interesting, story-wise.
The show doesn't need Finn's death, nor the Bellarke fans actually. Ratings are already failing, I would say they cannot afford to loose any more cast members, otherwise there will be no season 3. That's why I also think neither Kane nor Jaha will die. Story or not at this point they are fighting for every viewer.
ReplyDeleteI agree, him coping would be far more interesting and I think if the Grounders want to retaliate it is because of the blast-off and because the civilians.
ReplyDeleteIt would be much more interesting for the writers to explore what made Finn do this and how he deals with his actions, than to kill him off. Besides, in this show no one is beyond redemption, everyone has killed someone.
ReplyDeleteSo yeah! he should be redeemed! and yes I do love Finn, so I may be biased, lol!
Bellamy is not dead, just because he is not listed same as Murphy. The devastating news maybe that the got captured or it is related to the Mount Weather kids. There is going to be Cliffhanger, nothing will be for sure so the viewers come back after the break.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Victoria. I think its such a cop out to kill him off. I'm hoping all of this speculating on who dies with it being a Finn-centric episode is just a red herring, I think they exploring what is happening to him would be more of an interesting storyline. I don't have high hopes though, I'll be really disappointed if they do kill him off after taking it this far.
ReplyDeleteThank you for this. TBH, I would hate it if they killed him(or any other main characters at this stage). It looks bleak though, so as I am going to watch these coming episodes with an 'expect the worst to happen' attitude. If he dies, so be it. If not, then it will be a very pleasant surprise. :)
ReplyDeleteIt would be so desappointing if they kill him at this point, but I fear that since they've already shown that they're not affraid to kill important cast members they think they need to kill some one, and he does fit the bill right now...
ReplyDeleteStill, I hope you're right and this is just a red herring as you put it. Truth is that with the ratings the way they are they can't afford to kill another main cast member, people are not tuning in and if they keep on dropping main characters more will stop watching...
Cast Members??The only cast member they have lost is Wells which was last season. They are goign to kill offf a major character this season. It has been confirmed in articles and spoilers. Maybe you are misinformed. The show's ratings are steady and have increased for the previous episode. And why bring Bellarke fans into this topic?
ReplyDeleteHey! I am just stating how gruesome and unforgiving this show is. I am a fan of the show....not any particular character and to me Finn's death makes total sense from a story telling point of view. Whether they actually do it or not remains to be seen. We don't know how many grounder armies are there and which groups the grounders consist of. And five people in a a village? to my knowlege he went on a shooting spree and there is no specific count of the casualties. Killing innocents as opposed to killing warrriors is a big difference. Warriors go into battle expecting to be killed. Women, children and old people are helpless and that holds more weight sorry!
ReplyDeletehell Murphy murdered his own people and tried to kill Bellamy and he's still around.
ReplyDeleteall Finn did was kill a few grounders
too soon to kill someone from the main cast. I can see Finn sacrificing himself to the grounders in attempt to stop their attack and become a prisoner for a while
but ot IMMEDIATLY because then it wouldn't fit with his character development
ReplyDeleteI don'tthnk hewill. Not until thelast couple of episodes at least. Because his character is finally a little less two-dimensional. The naive-good-guy thing could only go on for so long
ReplyDeleteyeah but there was no finn. Wells was supposed to be the best friend and love interest but they created Finn and filled the love interest role. They didn't really need Wells because in the boo he was put in a position of autority with some whereas on the show it was established pretty early that he would never be accepted as a leader. So he was stuk as the useless sappy sidekick of the actual leader. Not much potential for a story there
ReplyDeleteI think this is where we'll see clearly which side he falls on. I mean, in season one he was the naive peacemakerand then he did a 180 and slaughtered a village. I think this is where we'll see him as who he is. Not who he was in season one, or how he's been so far. Now that he knows what he's capable of, I think this is where we see what he will do with all that potential for violence
ReplyDeleteor the Red Shirt Syndrome with all the kids who are introduced for a second before being killed
ReplyDeleteI think it's because he's still struggling with what he did to that village. Like he and Ravel will be thinking back to their childhood together and how much they have both changed. He'll do something in the episode. Something terrible or something redeeming that will come from remembering who he was and Learning who he's become
ReplyDeleteBellamy's reckless actions led to 300 people being executed and he seems redeemed. And he was doing it to cover his own ass! Even if he didn't know they were gonna kill those people, he still accepted that his life was Worth more than that of everyone else on the Ark. So Finn slaughtered a village to find Clarke? not o bad, considering it's done out of love and not self interest
ReplyDeleteWell they need them now. And it's so terrible because it's FINN. Finn, eternal defender of the weak or at least naive peacemaker. And he's the one who Always saw the good in them, after Lincoln. What is so terrible is that those people he killed were innocent and he killed them in CLARKE's name. Clarke who fell for the naive peacemaker, not the avenging berseker.
ReplyDeleteI don't think they'll kill off Bellamy. He's a big character, but I just can't wait to see more between him and Clarke.
ReplyDeleteThey'd be insane to kill off a popular character like Bellamy and keep Finn
ReplyDeleteThat's why I think too.
ReplyDeleteThe unlikely source must be Lincoln. I wonder how people in Camp Jaha will react to him. He doesn't really belong among the sky people and the grounders don't want him anymore. He doesn't fit anywhere
ReplyDeleteI wondered about Bellamy myself. I noticed the plot for episode 9, "remember me", says that Octavia and Clarke mourn the loss of a friend. What other character would the combination of Octavia and Clarke mourn for, other than Bellamy? Just a thought....
ReplyDelete
