  1. Oh they're trying to compare Katherine Heigl to James Spader? PLEASE!!! I guess we'll see but to say I have doubts would be putting it mildly.

  2. Don't advertise this show like that. You're playing this like you're hoping lightning will strike the same place twice.

  3. Comparing James Spader's show to a Katherine Heigl project is like comparing filet mignon burger to a tofurkey burger. Yes, both may come on bread, but one is delicious to the last bite and the other is, well.... filling.

  4. Just another show like Madam Secretary and homeland. Will stick with NCIS LA and CASTLE.

  5. I like The Blacklist but didn't like State of Affairs all that much.

  6. In your opinion, do you think the show is good enough for ratings (it'll be tough competing against Castle) and can it avoid cancellation? Sorry to put you on the spot, and yes it's still early days but I would like to hear your thoughts about SOA.

  7. I see it finding a following, but the show is premiering in November when the voice is already down so I don't think it will be getting same ratings as The Blacklist.

I got the copy of the revised pilot yesterday and have to watch that yet. maybe that'l change my mind about the show.

  10. NBC banking way too much on this show considering the stigma associated with Katherine Heigl

  11. I don't watch Blacklist(tried but just not my cup of tea) but I'm gonna watch State of Affairs

  12. I so cannot wait for state of affairs

  13. They're probably using the love-to-hate thing and make the people who dislike her to watch the show only to bash her. There's also Alfre Woodard on the show, but the majority of the promo lies on Heigl.

  14. I think this show does look great and I can see myself really liking it, but I don't think it will get renewed at the end of the season. I may also be getting into a limit point in terms of political dramas. Between Scandal, Madam Secretary and this one, not to mention the occasional ventures of the likes of Homeland in that world, and probably something else which I am not remembering, it's enough for the time being for me. But for now it's still good.

  15. You have a right to your opinion just like I do.

  16. Hum, they are not! See, my opinion is different from yours:)

  17. NBC making me slightly nauseous in their trumpeting State of Affairs is The Blacklist's fraternal twin. Just advertise it on its own merits .

  18. Haven't seen it yet (and I'm sure gonna give it a try) but imo it's not believable. Come on, Katherine Heigl is too pretty to be a real badass. Carrie Mathisson is believable with all her craziness but Heigl...hmm not convinced (yet). And like many of my fellow discusses, I agree to the fact that it's unworthy to compare James Spader to Heigl.
