    it understandable that irving would lose hope when parrish owns his soul but jenny's right they need hope otherwise what are they fighting for

I'm curious to see how this plays out though I'm not holding on to much hope of it being nearly as interesting as I'd like it to be...

    I haven't given up just yet. I'm too emotionally invested in the characters that they created (and for some reason have begun to systematically destroy) last season. I'm riding out until this year's finale. Beyond that...I dunno yet.

    I agree. With it till the very last chapter. I'm loving this season. The sleepy hollow world and characters have evolved.
