Shame. It was progressively getting better. I understand the cancellation, though. Low ratings, and lacks the heart that Suburgatory had. The cast carries it well, though. Hopefully they'll all go on to better roles.
Oh for gods sake, just as I had fallen in love with it. Might as well give up getting into new network comedy shows the blood bath of the past couple of years has lost so many good and potentially great series.
Aww come on!! Seriously?! Selfie is a good, funny show with great chemistry between the characters. After a couple of episodes, Selfie found it's footing and was gaining momentum. It's a mistake to cancel a show like Selfie with really good potential.
Could never really get into the show myself, but I didn't think it was bad, just not my cup of tea. On the upside, here's hoping Cho can rejoin Sleepy Hollow, and Gillan can find a better sitcom to show off her comedic skills.
Now I need to start thinking about which series will be next to fall victim to cancellation since this was the last of the 4 or 5 shows to be cancelled I called... I'm surprised it took this long honestly..
First wave of cancellations complete. Moving on to Round 2! XD
The two episodes of Selfie that aired this week were by far the best in the series. This show was really starting to get it together after a really rocky start. Alas, it was too little too late. Goodbye, Selfie.
What a lousy way to start my weekend, I thought the show was really good, I was holding on thinking it would find A rhythm and the ratings would improve, saw the cancellation as inevitable but it still stings, good luck to the cast on future projects, I suppose I should prepare myself for Marry Me as well:(
like others have said, bummed but understand the move as the ratings just weren't there... I really liked the promise of the show as it was getting better and liked that the last 2 eps started to give the secondary characters more of a chance to shine, but the Henry/Liza relationship was the best part and will be missed
After watching the trailer and pilot I thought this show could survive cancellation. But after it premiered a friend pointed out all the things that were wrong with the show and I quickly lost faith. My friend (who's a feminist) found abhorrent that, in the pilot, Eliza asked Henry to "fix her". I think she had a point.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Not really surprised but still it had it's good moments. Good luck to the cast to come back to my small screen soon.
ReplyDeleteNot surprising. Pulled or just finishing its 13?
ReplyDeleteAw, that's sad. Another show with great leads that didn't pan out. Again, all I can hope is that they'll both find other awesome shows to be on.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was a pretty good show and it had some great funny moments sorry to see it go
ReplyDeleteExpected but still very disappointing. :(
ReplyDeleteKinda seems from the wording of the tweet that the initial 13 will still air.
ReplyDeleteYep, just seen that.

ReplyDeleteJust enjoy it while you can. I'm resigned to rebuilding my viewing schedule next season.
ReplyDeleteSad news... =( i expected that but i really really loved it and i wish it would have gotten many many seasons

ReplyDeleteGood.
ReplyDeleteNo! It was the cutest show on tv! Ugh!
ReplyDeleteCRAP!!!! GRRR!!!!!!!!!! ARGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!
ReplyDeleteGOD NO.
ReplyDeleteWhat! I like this show hope to see the actors on something else
ReplyDeleteJohn Cho could possibly rejoin Sleepy Hollow now.
ReplyDeleteshame, 'cause I was really enjoying it... instead, ABC ordered a full season of that terrible Forever show... urgh
ReplyDeleteit's because it's a cop show. cop shows last longest.
ReplyDeleteso which show will replace selfie as AOS lead in?
ReplyDeleteCould never really get into the show myself, but I didn't think it was bad, just not my cup of tea. On the upside, here's hoping Cho can rejoin Sleepy Hollow, and Gillan can find a better sitcom to show off her comedic skills.
ReplyDeleteI actually liked it but probably won't loose sleep over it
ReplyDeleteMy comment in the last post jinxed it :'(
ReplyDeletenot entirely sure how this one made it to air in the first place
ReplyDeleteI really hope Karen Gillan join another show and John Cho, there both awesome,
ReplyDeleteNow I need to start thinking about which series will be next to fall victim to cancellation since this was the last of the 4 or 5 shows to be cancelled I called... I'm surprised it took this long honestly..

Why they didn't renew Subirgatory
ReplyDeleteWe miss you in Sleepy Hollow, Jon Cho! Come baaaack!!!
ReplyDeleteFinally. We all knew this was coming.
ReplyDeleteI hope John Cho goes back to being on Sleepy Hollow.
ReplyDeleteExpected, but it still sucks. This was a good little show.
ReplyDeleteMe too :)
ReplyDeleteIt's not unexpected, though it does make me sad.

ReplyDeleteAh I actually really liked selfie.
ReplyDeleteI think it had pretty good heart. Not Scrubs or Chuck level, but still good.
ReplyDeleteI think the role ran its course. Much rather he do something new.
ReplyDeleteHe probably won't be doing anymore TV for awhile now anyway because I think the next Star Trek movie starts filming in a month or two.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lousy way to start my weekend, I thought the show was really good, I was holding on thinking it would find

Totally unsurprised by this cancellation. This show was lacking something from the onset.....
ReplyDeleteI was totally thinking this....given he was really good on that show.
ReplyDeleteI am totally with you.
ReplyDeleteOh that's cool. Shame Abrams won't be more involved. But if it means Star Wars then it's worth it.
ReplyDeleteNo surprise there, it's a pitty though, it was quite charming as all the other cancelled comedies this season.

ReplyDeleteJohn Cho deserves so much more than this piece of crap. Maybe he'll come back to Sleepy Hollow now!
ReplyDeleteI love this show.....I'm so upset, and I really hope they air all 13 episodes.
