Ratings Breakdown:
Thursday remains a two-network race, with the “TGIT”-themed programming block on ABC outdelivering week two of CBS’ regularly scheduled line-up by 11 percent in the household overnights. Veteran “Grey’s Anatomy” opened on ABC with a second-place 6.3 rating/10 share from 8-9 p.m., followed by “Scandal” (#1: 7.5/12) and recently introduced “How To Get Away With Murder” (#1: 6.7/11) from 9-11 p.m. Combined, the three dramas were 33 percent above the year-ago evening (which included failed “Once Upon a Time in Wonderland” at 8 p.m.).

“The Big Bang Theory” on CBS topped the night, of course, with a 10.5/17 in the 8 p.m. half-hour. And it led into a 6.8/10 (#1) for relocated “Mom” at 8:30 p.m., which was equal to year-ago occupant “The Millers” (and is a considerable improvement from its former performance Monday at 9:30 p.m. out of “Mike & Molly”).

In week two news, CBS sitcom “The McCarthys” slipped to a distant second-place 4.5/ 7 at 9:30 p.m., which was 18 percent below the 5.5/ 9 one week earlier and 20 percent below former time period occupant “Two and a Half Men” on the year-ago evening (5.6/ 9 on 11/07/13). That 5.5 in the overnights last week translated into 8.08 million viewers and a 1.7 rating/5 share among adults 18-49, based on the Live + Same Day data. So, you can expect a demo rating of only about a 1.4.

Comparably, overnight retention for “The McCarthys” out of “Two and a Half Men” (#2: 5.9/ 9) was also modest at 76 percent.

Drama “Elementary” closed the night for the Eye net with a second-place 4.6/ 8 at 10 p.m., which declined by 18 percent from the 5.6/10 on the year-ago evening and it trailed aforementioned “How To Get Away With Murder” on ABC by 33 percent. What CBS sees in “Elementary” remains a mystery.

Elsewhere, the results were minimal. Fox dipped by six percent in the overnights from one week earlier with its pairing of veteran “Bones” (#3: 3.6/ 6) and episode six of limited drama “Gracepoint” (#4: series low 2.1/ 3). And NBC could not compete with its line-up of relocated “The Biggest Loser” (#4: 2.7/ 4), which has not benefited anchoring Thursday, canceled sitcoms “Bad Judge” (#3: 2.5/ 4) and “A To Z” (#4: 1.9/ 3), and soon-to-conclude “Parenthood” (#3: 2.6/ 4).

The CW, meanwhile, got a slight boost with its pairing of dramas “The Vampire Diaries” (#5: 1.5/ 2) and “Reign” (#5: 1.0/ 2). But the two, on average, were still down by 19 percent from the year-ago evening.

207 comments:

  1. What CBS sees in “Elementary” remains a mystery.
    3 million dollars per episode

    ReplyDelete
  2. Good for TGIT- expect it to rise as it goes closer to fall finales
(Greys didn't drop to much against TBBT)

    ReplyDelete
  3. I agree but I think it would be worth rephrasing to :"What whichever network paid that much for Elementary reruns expects from it remains a mystery."

    ReplyDelete
  4. Thats really bad for The McCarthys. It will most likely be pulled tomorrow.

    ReplyDelete
  5. “How To Get Away With Murder” (6.7/11) just like last week, and it was 2.7

    ReplyDelete
  6. That would be WGN America, lol. I was pretty surprised when they paid that much. It's not like the show is pulling amazing ratings or is something extraordinary.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Sucks im really enjoying it :(

    ReplyDelete
  8. I agree. We Are Men was pulled after the second episode, so this might as well. I think they will quarantine Thursdays 9h30-11 to be syndication farm for the rest of the year and do Millers+Elementary.

    ReplyDelete
  9. I hope GA was mostly steady.

    ReplyDelete
  10. I agree. And, perhaps even more relevant for their case, the show does awful in reruns for a standard CBS procedure. This summer numbers were really bad and they had the best lead-in of any rerun from Big Brother.

    ReplyDelete
  11. The Millers deserves to be cancelled. It doesn't even have a syndication deal unlike Elementary. It will probably be pulling low 1s by season 4

    ReplyDelete
  12. It depends on what failsNovember 7, 2014 at 2:29 PM

Scandal is even higher and Murder is tied compared to last week.

FOX looks even lower and NBC the same. Pull McCarthys now, CBS.

    ReplyDelete
  13. I like how Berman calls last nights CW ratings "a slight boost" while still down but calls CW Wednesday's "problematic."
Thanks for the numbers Berman, but I'll read someone else's rhetoric.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Try season 3, by season 4 I expect constant sub 1s ratings

    ReplyDelete
  15. I think Grey's will have mid 2s when the demo comes out in a few hours.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Scandal's episode last night was reminiscent of the crazy twisty episodes of the last 2 seasons that have made the show the hit it is today. I'm not surprised it was up.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Yeah I think it will do low 1s by this spring unless it goes back to behind TBBT (and if they do such a thing, the entire industry and media will mock CBS).

I agree that The Millers deserves to be cancelled. It's already doing worse than FWBL did last Spring in the same slot and in a lower viewed portion of the year without having spent an year building an audience post TBBT. That show should have been renewed over the millers as it had a lot of potential to grow and become a new How I Met Your Mother type of player for them. It was also strong on 18-34s and it had a male audience which is not common for CBS for shows not named Two and a Half Men. Sadly, I still think the millers is more likely to be renewed than cancelled.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I'm always mystified in this day and age when they don't offer shows like this on streaming sites like Netflix or Amazon Prime. I actually got curious about the show at one point, but I can't watch it anywhere. You'd think they'd offer it up just to appeal to new viewers who like to binge-watch stuff (like me!). Of course, maybe it's available somewhere, but I haven't found it yet. That's how I found Bones, which led to a short but furious affair, which is now over. But still!

    ReplyDelete
  19. All aboard the farming syndication train!

    ReplyDelete
  20. Looks like TBBT might be below a 4.0 this week. It's pretty early for the show to be declining this much.

    ReplyDelete
  21. HH don't always correlate with ratings, besides last week the numbers were screwed up because of the pre-emptions. A 10.5 on Monday usualy meant mid 4s, so we'll have to wait till the demos and see what happens

    ReplyDelete
  22. It's not down much from the overnight ratings it had 2 weeks ago. I think it will have a 2.3 or 2.4 in the final rating

    ReplyDelete
  23. Last week it had an 11.0 and got a 4.1

    ReplyDelete
  24. Last week pre-emptions screwed the HH ratings

    ReplyDelete
  25. low 2s would be amazing on that timeslot against TBBT

    ReplyDelete
  26. I believe it was pre-empted this week as well

    ReplyDelete
  27. If memory serves, the last time Scandal did a 7.5 in the HH, it did a 3.4 in the demo. Let's see if it does anywhere near that vicinity.

    ReplyDelete
  28. 4 episodes in a row = Very strong quality. The next 2 better be excellent!

    ReplyDelete
  29. Fingers crossed! :)

    ReplyDelete
  30. I think that if it does, then Scandal has a possibility of high 3's for the mid season finale.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I think people downplay Grey's strength and resilience. The show was one of the first - if not the very first - to edge out an original Idol. It may be past its heydays, but Grey's shouldn't be taken lightly.

    ReplyDelete
  32. CBS' Thursday lineup is likely to continue being preempted for the remainder of the fall.

    ReplyDelete
  33. He is retensionista!!

    ReplyDelete
  34. true it still reaches 4+ in dvr

    ReplyDelete
  35. I'm hoping TVD can pull a 0.9 this week.For reign-i'll take 0.5.

    ReplyDelete
  36. i love Reign but there is a reason Reign's ratings are decreasing ever week. they have completely ignored bash and his storyline in s2. Torrance had equal and more footage and storyline in s1 and bash was fan fav but in s2 he has been a mere guest like like role. even Narcisse has more scenes than him.

    ReplyDelete
  37. in india this show and extant were the top gross in sales this year

    ReplyDelete
  38. the curse of sophomore . writers tend to go wayward in the second season.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I agree with this sentence entirely. People always underestimate GA.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I agree, but production companies and networks are still trying to figure out the new paradigm on how shows are being watched. I think eventually every production company will realize that having all the older seasons of a series available to stream in order to help people get into a current show.

    ReplyDelete
  41. True but it dint happened with originals thankfully.
in Reign they are focusing more on Lola issues which no one is interested in. seriously Bash role needs to be increased or Reign is going to be cancelled

    ReplyDelete
  42. No Bones. :( I really hope they move it come January, away from TBBT.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I wonder if we'll get top25 markets, since, if memory serves, we haven't been getting those as of late.

    ReplyDelete
  44. i dont watch reign, but i think the ratings are getting better?it started as 0.4 fo rtwo weeks, then 0.5 and today it will probably still be a 0.5 but with more viewers than last week? unless i got it wrong

    ReplyDelete
  45. I think it would be really detrimental for the show to move again. Enough is enough, it has been moved enough I think. They should put it on hiatus in January for the double Idol hours and then leave it there. Do Bones| Idol or Bones | Backstorm or Bones | The Following, but enough with it moving I think. I wouldn't object to Idol | Bones either but I think they are unlikely to want Idol against TBBT in the lower rated portion of its season again.

    ReplyDelete
  46. i think we should wait till final ratings

    ReplyDelete
  47. I find it hard to believe that lack of Bash has anything to do with the ratings.

    ReplyDelete
  48. The only place I can think of is Fridays; Bones did amazing numbers there. Another option would be Tuesdays since Master Chef Jr is not running there all season long

    ReplyDelete
  49. Didn't know that. It will be tedious to wait for the finals every Thursdays until January

    ReplyDelete
  50. I have been enjoying Season 2 of Reign but I have expressed my unsatisfaction with that as well. Bash is one of my favorite characters, if not my favorite, and I don't like how he has been sidelined. I get it that he is no longer part of a triangle with Mary but they should continue to develop. Not to mention that I would like to continue seeing his relationship with Mary somehow. I am not saying romantically but even in the first episodes of the show they had such a great friendship and trust in one another, now it's like they never even met.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Bones is resilient, even if it has overlap audience with NCSI it should way better than any other option they have for 8PM timeslot, because what else do they have? Glee? A new show? Unless they pull up another Gordon Ramsey show I don't know what else they could do there

    ReplyDelete
  52. It did amazing numbers for Fridays. But it took a huge hit when it went. It went from 2.0's to low 1's. It recovered in the spring, to higher 1's, but never got back. Now it's already in the mid-1's. I'd think a Friday move would hammer them now. Maybe not, but it seems less likely they'd hit those same numbers this year. Then again, it's Fox. I'll never get most of their scheduling/promotion decisions.

    ReplyDelete
  53. With the way Fox promotes Bones a long hiatus would be just as detrimental. SN already implied on twitter a few weeks ago that they were moving days again. Honestly I think Fox just wants them to take the punches from TTBT and GA for 4 episodes until the end of November. What else could they put there? They did the same when they originally moved Bones to Monday against the Voice. It makes sense now that they've scheduled the 200th for December when there will be no originals of TTBT and GA.
Last spring Hart Hanson had made comments that he expected Backstrom and Bones to be paired together in the Fall. The fact that didn't happen doesn't seem particularly positive for Backstrom.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Usually I don't want it to move, but I have a feeling TBBT will kill it if it doesn't move. Because it was doing fine until TBBT move back to Thursday. All JMO

    ReplyDelete
  55. I was assuming Backstrom will pair with Bones after Gracepoint goes. Anyone heard anything about Backstrom or Wayward Pines - good or bad? Are both coming in January? I know Sleepy Hollow will drop off the schedule, with Gotham staying on, so I'm curious what they'll pair with Gotham.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Does anyone want to answer some or all of these questions?

    1) Which long-running show will end after all the others? (The Simpsons, Family Guy, SVU, Criminal Minds, CSI, Big Bang Theory, etc.)
    2) Is this Revenge's final season?
    3) Which classic show would you most like to see revived?
    4) What do you think about the move of The Mentalist to Wednesday at 8 between Survivor cycles?
    5) Should ABC move The Middle to make room for Fresh Off The Boat on Wednesdays?

    ReplyDelete
  57. I'll bet the Following goes with Gotham, and Backstrom with Bones

    ReplyDelete
  58. 5) No. Why mess with a line-up that is doing so well for them?

    ReplyDelete
  59. Sleepy Hollow has 18 episodes this year

    ReplyDelete
  60. well I hope they dont have any great expectations for Backstrom then because it will be DOA behind Bones.

    ReplyDelete
  61. "With the way Fox promotes Bones a long hiatus would be just as detrimental."

    I agree.

    ReplyDelete
  62. You only have to look at how they handled last week.

    ReplyDelete
  63. I had wondered, from the description, if Wayward Pines might go with Gotham. Especially since it's new - depends if Fox wants to give it a boost or not. Looks weird, which appeals to me. They might just throw Bones and Following together, since both are aging and can't really be depended on as lead-ins. When's Idol airing? Maybe they'll throw the new shows on after those?

    ReplyDelete
  64. 1) Probably The Simpsons, the crew already said they would go as long as FOX lets them.
    2) No way to know for sure yet, but looks like it.
    3) Prison Break, I'd like to see where they would go with it.
    4) It was weird, but it makes sense to use it as a filler since it is ending.
    5) No, it's doing good business where it is

    ReplyDelete
  65. sad to hear that, I'm waiting to binge watch season 2 at some point but Bash is my fave character so a lack of him is a complete turn off. Another show I used to love watching has also neglected my fave character in recent years thanks to writers caving to some loud and obnoxious sectors of the fandom. I wonder if Bash is suffering the same fate thanks to the writers/show runner pandering to the loudest fans?

    ReplyDelete
  66. Oh that's right! And they're running them as a block, right? Yay. Forgot I have more of those ahead than we had last year.

    ReplyDelete
  67. well the HH ratings for Thursday were slightly up on last week, that doesnt mean the night is perfect but what he says is true.

    ReplyDelete
  68. wait till mid season then change the line up to
    8-TBBT
    8.30-The Odd Couple
    9-Mom
    9.30-TAAHM
    and Monday
    8-2BG
    8.30-Mike and Molly

    ReplyDelete
  69. Fair enough reason, however they should move it to Friday or Sunday and put something else on Thursday?

    ReplyDelete
  70. Did you see Scandal yet?

    ReplyDelete
  71. FOX doesn't have the depth right now to move a solid player like Bones to Fridyas. Fridays have to be thrown to the wolves this year, they cannot worry about them with the midweek schedule in flames.

    ReplyDelete
  72. It was amazing. Olivia has all of her fierceness back. You're really going to enjoy it.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Good. I was sick of lip-quivering Olivia Pope.
I want the Olivia Pope of the first two seasons that wasn't afraid of anyone.

    ReplyDelete
  74. The Following going with Gotham is a bit complicated because of the "unfit" number of episodes.

FOX 8PM Monday: 22 hours of Gotham
FOX 9PM Monday (if TF goes there): 18 hours of Sleepy Hollow + 15 hours of the Following = 32 hours

So that means that roughly ~10 hours of the 9pm shows would have to air out of repeats of Gotham. It doesn't seem a very good idea to me. They will probably run Gotham straight through and put Wayward Pines there after it to pair with the Following.

    So it's probably:
    Winter: Gotham + Sleepy Hollow
Late Winter/ Early Spring: Gotham + The Following
Spring: Wayward Pines + The Following

    ReplyDelete
  75. Pope is a force to be reconned with this episode. Just wait till the end.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Scandal is actually down.

    Grey's: 2.4
    Scandal: 2.9
    HTGAWM: 2.8

    ReplyDelete
  77. I think The Millers will not be pulled.

I agree with your Monday predictions but I expect something like this for Thursday:

Late November/ Early December: TBBT + Mom + Men + Men (with tbbt probably going in repeats for the early december portion)
January/ February/ Early March: TBBT + Mom + Men + Millers (with tbbt airing repeats in January and March mixed in with originals)
Late March/April/May: TBBT + Odd Couple + Mom + Millers (again, with tbbt airing some repeats in April)

Mom also has to air some repeats in there eventually though less than big bang. Men would run straight through except for the christmas break.

    ReplyDelete
  78. TBBT: 4.2
    Mom: 2.6
    2.5 Men: 2.3
    The McCarthys: 1.7
    Elementary: 1.4

    ReplyDelete
  79. 18-34:

    Grey's: 1.9
    Scandal: 2.5
    HTGAWM: 2.6

    ReplyDelete
  80. Half-hours for ABC' line-up:

    Grey's: 2.3/2.4
    Scandal: 2.8/3.0
    HTGAWM: 2.9/2.7

    ReplyDelete
  81. Murder was up from last week. That's good.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Yeah, but Scandal was down two tenths. Which I find either, tbh.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Yes to mom well deserved!

    ReplyDelete
  84. Bones 1.3, Gracepoint 0.7

    ReplyDelete
  85. Great for greys 2,4 against tbbt
Hopefully scandal adjusts up to a 3

    ReplyDelete
  86. I believe cbs is inflated

    ReplyDelete
  87. Please an adjusted up for tvd

    ReplyDelete
  88. Perhaps Grey's overran into Scandal, causing it's half-hour to be deflated?

    ReplyDelete
  89. So anyone know if CBS was preempted?
If those ratings are not inflated, then McCarthys was surprisingly even with the premiere, not that tsaht is going to save it

TBBT needs to rise and so does Mom.
    Great for TGIT

    ReplyDelete
  90. I believe they were in two markets

    ReplyDelete
  91. Anyway, this shows that Grey's was basically unaffected by TBBT.

    ReplyDelete
  92. - ABC did amazing. Yes Scandal is slightly down but it's a bit of an irrelevant drop and I fully expect it to inch upwards in finals again and finish with a nice rounded 3.0. Murder is up at 10pm and GA didn't even blink from facing TBBT, that show really is gold
    - Yikes at the CW. Sad for both shows. I really thought TVD would benefit from last week's amazing episode. I find it odd that after the very uneven Seasons 4 and 5, now that the show is back to being good the ratings are down.
    - CBS did okay considering last week's disaster but I will wait for finals on that network to say anything since I suspect there were preemptions again. I hope Mom holds though.
    - Bones not going up is bad news. It tied The Mindy Project.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Are those NBC numbers right? Because A to Z recovered quite a lot. Not that it makes much of a difference, a 1.0 is not good, but it is much better than a 0.7

    ReplyDelete
  94. That was a good move by abc
I doubt it will see 1s

    ReplyDelete
  95. I told people that it wouldn't be TBBT bringing Grey's down.
Grey's is one of the most phenomenal shows ever, IMHO.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Okay, I'm kinda hapy that The 100 beat Reign.

    ReplyDelete
  97. NBC was pre-empted in Cincinnati due to football.

    ReplyDelete
  98. So, inflated? That would explain it.

Any word on any CBS' pre-emption?

    ReplyDelete
  99. I agree. And though I like A to Z the numbers make be sad since About a Boy (which I adore) would be NBC's lowest rated comedy this week despite a better situation (though airing from Marry Me really isn't that good of a situation)

    ReplyDelete
  100. still dont think they would pick T100 over Reign when it comes to renewal based on both their currect ratings though

    ReplyDelete
  101. I would take out the "basically". It did this exact result two episodes ago. Grey's is a beast.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Elementary is definitely dead...

    ReplyDelete
  103. This proves that a show airing a day earlier has no effect whatsoever to the ratings, as I've been telling people since September about GA.

    ReplyDelete
  104. It will be renewed for syndication.

    ReplyDelete
  105. 18-34 ratings per showbuzzdaily
    ABC:
    Grey's: 1.9
    Scandal: 2.5
    Murder: 2.6

    CBS:
    TBBT: 2.6
    Mom: 1.5
    2.5 Men: 1.1
    McCarthys: 0.8
    Elementary: 0.7

    NBC:
    TBL: 0.9
    Bad Judge: 0.7
    A to Z: 0.7
    Parenthood: 0.7

    FOX:
    Bones: 0.9
    Gracepoint: 0.4

    CW:
    TVD: 0.8
    Reign: 0.4

It finallt happened; a CW show tied FOX on the 18-34 demos

    ReplyDelete
  106. Grey's will go down as one of the most resilient shows ever. It's in its 11th season but from the show's pure strength, you would think that it isn't.

    ReplyDelete
  107. 3rd season show, massive syndication deal? probably not dead but moved to Friday or Sunday instead?

    ReplyDelete
  108. It earns 3 million dolars per syndication rights, the show is not dead at all. It will be moved for sure, but it won't die

  109. Exactly
I mean it does 4.0+ in demo for dvr

Plus with online viewing, etc the show is still a powerhouse in this age of television

    ReplyDelete
  110. I think all of CBS will be adjusted down 1-3 tenths

    ReplyDelete
  111. I'm not seeing how Arrow with a 1.1 and 2.7 mil viewers and The 100 with a .5 at 1.6 million viewers is "problematic" while TVD with a .7 at 1.5 million viewers and Reign with a .4 at 1.3 million viewers is a "slight boost."

    ReplyDelete
  112. Nope, 3 mil per episode will assure at least one more season.

    ReplyDelete
  113. didnt it happen yesterday also with Arrow and Hells Kitchen?

    ReplyDelete
  114. I would also go as far as saying that it will go down as being the biggest drama show of the last decade and then some.

    ReplyDelete
  115. People expected TBBT to impact Grey's to below a 2. It's holding nicely on that mid 2's.

ABC will go into mourning when Grey's finally ends.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Both About a Boy and Marry Me should be doing better; that's make it all the more sadder to see their numbers on Wednesday... and then on Thursdays we have to look at The 100 and on Fridays A to Z. Man, this season doesn't give us a break!

    ReplyDelete
  117. CBS was apparently pre-empted in Cleveland. Have no idea the impact it will have on the ratings.

    ReplyDelete
  118. Didn't have the chance to look it up yesterday, but if so then all the more reason FOX should be doing something drastic pretty soon to try fix this mess

    ReplyDelete
  119. Wow at Murder tying TBBT.

    ReplyDelete
  120. So apparently CBS pre-empted in Cleveland and NBC in Cincinnati.

    ReplyDelete
  121. I agree. It faced a 4.2 and it didn't flinch. That's absolutely remarkable since everybody was spelling TBBT as Grey's undoing.

    ReplyDelete
  122. Probably none since Cleveland is the city equevalent of getting slapped on the face.

Sorry, I just watched HIMYM and had that joke stuck on my head. No offence Cleveland!

    ReplyDelete
  123. Yeah. And Scandal is only a tenth off. Massive line-up over at ABC.

    ReplyDelete
  124. Why? What makes Reign more profitable than The 100 specifically? They are both sophomore shows and if I'm not mistaken, at least partially CBS owned. What makes Reign so much more special than The 100? Nothing. They're different shows with a slightly different target audience. It will come down to what the network wants.

    ReplyDelete
  125. Yaaaay Scandal and HTGAWM. Cannot wait to watch them tonight

    ReplyDelete
  126. That would explain the sudden rise on A to Z numbers... man, I was really hoping it did recover even if it was back to 1.0 :(

    ReplyDelete
  127. Because Reign will have 44 episodes at the end of the current season. The 100, won't.

    ReplyDelete
  128. Thursdays dramas are ABC best cards. Seriously, all these shows are monster hits!

    ReplyDelete
  129. Bones deserves so much better :(

    ReplyDelete
  130. 44 eps > 26 eps

    ReplyDelete
  131. It may see high 1s but I expect those during Spring. Clearly, it won't be TBBT to bring down this monster.

    ReplyDelete
  132. Will that be significant for the ratings?

    ReplyDelete
  133. Oh right, this year is 16 eps?

    ReplyDelete
  134. I am really not sure how big of a market it is.

    ReplyDelete
  135. CBS was preempted in Cleveland for football.

    ReplyDelete
  136. 2) i hope the ratings let it have a short fifth season but it looks like this will be the last one. I will miss that show more than any other show ; (

    ReplyDelete
  137. Apart from TBBT, I agree. Elementary's numbers seem too high considering how weakly it premiered.

    ReplyDelete
  138. A to Z and Bad Judge are up?

    ReplyDelete
  139. My most painful moments of the week ratings wise:
    1. The 100
    __________________________

    2. Revenge (this is one of my absolute favorites, on par with the 100 and though I would like it to stick around one more year, I could live with it ending this year if it is planned as such, which is why it is in second and the 100 in first)

    3. About a Boy
    4. Hawaii Five-0

    5. Agents of Shield (this one is not about the show's survival since it will still make it but more about me wanting it to do much better)

    6. Reign (this one will also probably still make it, so it's also less bad)
    7. The Mindy Project, though they really are no different from what they've always been and I don't think will be critical for its renewal or lack of

I also dislike the ratings that Resurrection gets since I've grown more attached to that show this week. Depending on the weeks, I am also displeased with Vampire Diaries and The Originals though both will still get renewed comfortably, and I was also hoping for Mom to inch upwards.

    ReplyDelete
  140. So basically everything was a disappointment? Lol jk

Hey at least TWD wasn't a disappointment :P

  142. It's 17 in the country

    ReplyDelete
  143. Too bad was Preempted, hope BBzt dosent adjust down at all or more than a tenth.Ouch at VD,Reign I was hoping Reign would stay at 0.5.

    ReplyDelete
  144. Nah ahah. The greatest ones:

    1. The Walking Dead
    2. TGIT lineup as a whole
    3. OUAT's big surge
    4. Arrow having such a great season ratings wise so far and The Flash doing so well
    5. Scorpion's great numbers!
    6. Brooklyn Nine-Nine doing so well in its new timeslot

Others like TBBT or MF are always pleasant as well but I take them more as sure things. I am probably missing others.

    ReplyDelete
  145. My list would be similar.

    1. The 100.: best show on TV right now, can't understand its ratings.
    2. Revenge (I can live with it ending this season, even though I love it and I would like another round)
    3. Marry Me (so much potential there, it just hurt me it won't be able to put it all out)
    4. A to Z (ditto)
    5. The Affair (those numbers on Showtime are dreadful, but since its cable it has a chance)
    6. Resurrection.
    7. AoS (I'm coming to like it more and more, but I still don't find myself as a real fan of the show yet. It's still sad for me to see it doing below 2s)

    ReplyDelete
  146. Ouch TVD, I hope it's adjusted up.

    ReplyDelete
  147. TVD often adjusts up, so maybe it will hit a 0.8 again. Amazing how much better a 0.8 feels than a 0.7.

    ReplyDelete
  148. Even though the demos are not really oustanding for Mom considering is TBBT lead in, it's nice to see it over 10 million viewers

    ReplyDelete
  149. The fact is Reign is closer to syndication,The 100 is exspensive and according to another commenter has CWs lowest 18-34 and The 100 dosent have that great of retention out of Arrow ( yesterday The 100 got 0.5 out of Arrows 1.1& today Reign got 0.4 out of VDs 0.7)

    ReplyDelete
  150. He wasn't talking bout Arrow but was taking about The 100's retention from Arrow because you know, he's a retentionista.

    ReplyDelete
  151. At least it's doing better than The Millers with TBBT as lead-in.

    ReplyDelete
  152. The Millers would do a 2.0 at best

    ReplyDelete
  153. Did people actually turn of their TV during Vampire Diaries? Since the ratings share went down?

    ReplyDelete
  154. 60% retention is not outstanding but it could be worse. But I was expecting 3s (though to be honest I was expecting TBBT to still be doing high 4s)

    ReplyDelete
  155. "What CBS see in Elementary", Mr. Berman, is a fine show with a stellar cast. What I see in your comments is your own personal viewing preferences.

    ReplyDelete
  156. These are the ratings tvd deserves

    ReplyDelete
  157. "What CBS sees in “Elementary” remains a mystery."

CBS see $$$ when it gets to syndication. Seriously Berman, do at least ten seconds research please.

    ReplyDelete
  158. Really, a Prison Break return? After season 2 it seriously declined in quality for me.

    ReplyDelete
  159. The Simpsons will outlive us all.

    ReplyDelete
  160. Season to date, these are the ratings for FOX and CW's scripted shows in A18-34:
    - Family Guy: 3.83
    - The Simpsons: 2.96
    - B99: 2.16
    - Gotham: 2.05
    - Bob's Burgers: 1.50
    - New Girl: 1.38
    - The Flash: 1.35
    - Sleepy Hollow: 1.20
    - Bones: 1.15
    - The Mindy Project: 1.06
    - Arrow: 0.88
    - Red Band Society: 0.87
    - Supernatural: 0.87
    - The Vampire Diaries: 0.86
    - Mulaney: 0.85
    - The Originals: 0.56
    - Gracepoint: 0.55
    - Jane the Virgin: 0.43
    - The 100: 0.40
    - Reign: 0.39

    ReplyDelete
  161. Is it possible for a cancelled show to be given back 9 order after all? I know that Killing was cancelled and renewed a couple of times. #saveAtoZ

    ReplyDelete
  162. TVD was a good episode, not so much Reign. hopefully pull tvd 0.9. Because sync affected the hearing on tvd, next week everything right for the ratings up.

    ReplyDelete
  163. Let us remember that, last week passed tvd NBC and FOX in the share of 18-34. these are great numbers to the CW!

    ReplyDelete
  164. I wish the haters would hate to leave next is to see if this season is good. It is not you who decides how ratings a show deserves.

    ReplyDelete
  165. I actually think the McCarthys is very funny! I laughed so much during these two episodes so far. Sad to see those ratings

    ReplyDelete
  166. Hater? lol no they got rid of the only interesting and new storyline this season and its back to the delena telenovela. Not to mention the huge plot holes aboug alaric being human again just to create unnecessary dramatic tension and Because they Reeeeeaaaally needed to make Alaric Human again for what I don't know

    ReplyDelete
  167. I would do:

    Monday: Gotham/Backstrom or Wayward Pines
    Tuesday: The Following/New Girl/Weird Loners-LMOE
    Wednesday: Idol/Empire
    Thursday: Bones/Idol
    Friday: Glee/Whatever
    Sunday: Bob's Burgers/The Simpsons/B99/Family Guy/Bordertown.

    ReplyDelete
  168. All their comedies were preempted this week. In some places Marry Me aired completely and About A Boy was cut in half.

    ReplyDelete
  169. Please let Reign get a Season 3, Please let Reign get a Season 3, Please let Reign get a Season 3!

    ReplyDelete
  170. Reign hasn't decreased, its been increasing.

    ReplyDelete
  171. Ha! It's outliving the cast members doing the characters too

    ReplyDelete
  172. It seems the people who like Revenge REALLY like it.

S5 isn't out of the question considering that Resurrection is struggling and it's hard to put something where Revenge is.

    ReplyDelete
  173. Wasn't aware that the episode orders made it complicated. You're right

    ReplyDelete
  174. Lol nate Ryan from revenge on scandal

    ReplyDelete
  175. I agree about The Mentalist. I was wondering why they renewed it, but it kind of makes sense now.

    ReplyDelete
  176. I'm not sure if it's still on Thursday or not. If it is, then probably 1/2 hour followed by a new comedy. If not, then you're probably right, The Following would air there

    ReplyDelete
  177. True. I figured The Following would come back to Monday but Thursday could make sense. Unless they want to try to save it

    ReplyDelete
  178. I hope they won't move it. I think it still could next year though, if FOTB does well and gets renewed

    ReplyDelete
  179. I am so happy to see the demographic rating for Grey's Anatomy come back up to 2.4, this can only mean it will be around at least next Season and perhaps beyond that. Awesome!
