This table shows the early overnight ratings. These ratings are normally adjusted later in the day when all the ratings have been consolidated to take into account any local preemptions and/or overruns. You can find all the final adjusted numbers in our Ratings Database. (See the About section below for details about ratings)
Can't see the tables? Check out our Troubleshooting Guide
Due to the delayed ratings there will be no early analysis.
Each day (except Sunday) during the main TV Season we post the TV Ratings for the previous nights primetime shows for the major broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, CW, FOX, NBC). Cable Network ratings will be added to the Ratings Database.
The first item that gets posted (normally around 2pm GMT) is the early overnight analysis based on the early household numbers (these are not the same as the Total Viewers and 18-49 Demo numbers that are posted later).
Next, if available, we will post the Top 25 Market 18-49 Ratings to give you a rough idea of the ratings to following.
Later on (normally between 4pm-5pm GMT) we post the official early overnight Total Viewers and 18-49 Demo numbers in the table above.
Finally, later in the evening (10pm-11pm GMT) or the following day, the final adjusted ratings numbers are released, these are then posted in the Ratings Database. The Final Adjusted numbers are what we use for all our Renew/Cancellation Tables, Full Season Tables, Ratings Scorecards etc (see below). Friday's Final Adjusted Ratings are normally available on the following Monday.
If you’re interested in Ratings/Renewals/Cancellations then we have a number of resources here at SpoilerTV that we recommend you check out.
CBS numbers seem heavily inflated.
ReplyDeletecrossing my fingers for revenge
ReplyDeleteOnce seems solid, while R&R keeps struggling!
ReplyDeleteHave not watched revenge yet but i am sure it was awesome
ReplyDeletevery inflated, I believe they had a huge game last night.
ReplyDeleteWonder why the ratings have been getting delayed lately
ReplyDeleteApparently, football ran late. CSI may not have aired at all. These numbers aren't accurate. My apologies.
ReplyDeleteanyhow monday morning is definitely not a good day to be a revenge fan
ReplyDeleteCSI wasn't aired again yesterday... Due to football.. I really needs another timeslot
ReplyDeleteIt takes awhile for Nielsen to adapt to Daylight Time changes.
ReplyDeleteAh, didn't think of that. Makes sense.
ReplyDeleteCSI did not run in central time zone for sure
ReplyDeleteI hope Revenge did better than Resurrection. At least we'd have that.
ReplyDeleteThat's two weeks in a row. Guess that's why CBS cut order from 20 to 18 - they probably suspected at least one or two games during the next five DH would run late. Little did they know, it would be two weeks in a row.
ReplyDeleteAnother thing that's interesting. Since I'm in MT, CSI starts at regular time (we get R in these situations). Because it recorded last week's as new (and then rescheduled as this week's episode), my DVR ignored it completely. I'm wondering if that will happen to others when it finally does air (this week).
its sad but hopefully it will rise at least a tenth. even though a 1.2 isn't good any rise is better then nothing
ReplyDeleteThat episode of Once was amazing as usual this season :)
ReplyDeleteWhen I looked at OUAT's ratings I was like yay!! But when I saw Res and Rev's ratings I was like ugh!!! My reaction totally changed!!!
ReplyDeleteAfter that episode I'm not really really looking forward to that 2 part episode coming up. It will be epic.
ReplyDeleteThey cut the order from 22 to 18. Still, The Mentalist and CSI: Miami both had episodes preempted due to overrun in their first seasons on Sundays at 10 with no episode reduction.
ReplyDeleteSo does that mean Mulaney got around a 0.7? If so, then ouch
ReplyDeletecould be even lower, these are only the top 25 market
ReplyDeleteI iike that OUAT gives me no reason to be concerned about at least one season more.
ReplyDeleteI think will run for 6 seasons just like Lost; it gives that vibe
ReplyDeletereal talk, people need to stop comparing OUAT to LOST just because they share some of the same writers. OUAT isnt even on the same planet of quality as LOST
ReplyDeleteit even gives me no reason to be concerned of getting 2 more seasons
ReplyDeleteI'm not comparing them, I'm saying they will have the same nunmber of seasons
ReplyDeleteThis article is giving me hope for the ratings of B99. http://www.spoilertv.com/2014/10/ratings-news-13th-october-2014.html 2.0 in top 25 markets with football effect
ReplyDeleteOuat - 2.5
ReplyDeleteResurrection 1.4
Revenge 1.2
It got a 1.6
ReplyDeleteHoly crap I just noticed that football got a 10.4, that's gotta be a mistake right? I've never seen a rating that high before.
ReplyDelete"They dhare some of the same writers" and some of the same actors and the same channel and some of the same stylistic devices.
ReplyDeleteSource?
ReplyDeleteShow buzz daily
ReplyDeleteI can't believe the show is still on air. Well, I can't believe the show gets on air in the first place.
ReplyDeleteouat rose a tenth like i predicted. at least revenge rose even though its only a 1.2
ReplyDeleteYeah, but Mentalist got shown really late several times, which meant that part of the ratings didn't count for CBS. They may have finally realized that it's more cost effective to just have fewer episodes.
ReplyDeleteit's still like comparing a fine wine to urinal water at a 7-11
ReplyDeleteThat's your opinion.
ReplyDeleteOnce is up :D
ReplyDeleteobviously...who else's would it be
ReplyDelete18-34 ratings per showbuzzdaily:
ReplyDeleteABC
AFV: 0.6
OUAT: 1.9
Resurrection: 0.8
Revenge: 0.7
CBS:
NFL: 6.3
60 Minutes: 2.1
Madam Secretary: 0.8
The Good Wife: 0.6
NBC:

FOX:

Simpsons: 2.0
B99: 1.6
Family Guy (R): 1.0
Mulaney: 0.6
Did you mean you are looking forward to it? I'm really looking forward to it, it sounds like the Snow Queen casts the shattered sight curse and they have to 'Smash the Mirror'! If that's true then it will be so cool seeing Storybrooke in chaos :P
ReplyDeleteIf Once adjusts up (which it probably will) then my predictions will have been right :)
ReplyDeleteYeah, I accidentally made a typo and wrote "not' but meant "now," I thought I had edited it and changed the word, does it still show my message as saying "not?"
ReplyDeleteA shame revenge did not rise any more than .1 but at least it rose at all right?
ReplyDeleteCSI: Las Vegas????
ReplyDeleteany rise is better then nothing

I think it will run a lot longer than two more seasons. The gap between the Top 4 dramas on ABC and the next group is pretty large (with Castle in middle). The format allows them to continue on even if certain actors don't resign contracts (or they need to cut budget).
ReplyDeleteTrue :) how was the episode. Have not watched it yet?
ReplyDeleteYh it changed when I reloaded the page, sorry :P
ReplyDeleteThey are all in the table. Make sure you refresh.
ReplyDeleteWasn't on last night. At least not on the east coast.
ReplyDeleteDid not air
ReplyDeleteit was good. something shocking really happened but i won't spoil it for you
ReplyDeleteIt's possible that OUAT has bleed into Resurrection's first half-hour.
ReplyDeleteI was guessing that something shocking was going to happen. Cannot wait to watch it. Maybe revenge even adjusts up who knows
ReplyDeleteMy point was that I thought it was just CSI. Sorry, stupid question
ReplyDeletethe half hours were sadly 1.2/1.1. i think it won't adjust up, lets just hope it won't adjust down
ReplyDeleteOUAT 406: 2.5, 7.33M
ReplyDeleteRead his post again. He's talking about Top 25 markets. Last night it got a 2.0 in the Top 25 Markets and two weeks ago FOX had football as a lead-in to Sunday Night and it also got a 2.0. So it means yes while football helps as a lead-in that without the lead-in in the top 25 markets it was 2.0.
ReplyDeleteI do agree. Once Upon A Time doesn't seem like a show that will last too long like Grey's or those procedurals. 6 seems like a good number. On another note, Shonda Rhimes hinted that Scandal is not an "eight or ten season" show like Grey's Anatomy, because there are only so many twists and turns in a single show, and she already knew the end date. Seems like Scandal will at most last 7 seasons (which is will be pretty bold for ABC if they actually didn't drag it too long).
ReplyDeleteNot bad for Once
ReplyDeleteI'll just take the 80% retention out of The Simpsons in the overall ratings! haha
ReplyDeleteIf Resurrections ratings stay at the level they are I think it still may get renewed but for a super reduced episode final season to wrap up all the questions.
ReplyDeleteSomeone said half hours don't determine the final adjustments. I wonder how the sunday ratings will be on TVBTN. Probably horrible
ReplyDeleteI think they will let Shonda end it as long as she keeps giving them new hit shows, like How To Get Away With Murder for instance
ReplyDeletethe, it would be better for them to air a couple more episodes to finish its order and give everything closure (the irony).
ReplyDeleteThen again, is not like ABC has to give its viewers some closure.
in revenges case the half hours always determine its final adjustments.
ReplyDeleteABC has never done that for a show with less than 88 episodes, at least I've never seen them doing it. Not for V, not for Pushing Daisies, and I don't see them doing it for Resurrection, as nice as it would be
ReplyDeleteI mean no insult in any way, but maybe you can look back and laugh a bit about how you live in Germany but you care so much about a US show and its US ratings. I think we are all obsessed that way, if not we won't be coming to this site!
ReplyDeleteit would need to be at at least close to syndication for abc to even consider of giving it a reduced final season.
ReplyDeleteOh :/ well let us see. Hopefully it does not adjust down
ReplyDeletethats because they only look at the us ratings to determine a shows future
ReplyDelete@DarkUFO: revenge's half hours are 1.2/1.1. Does that automatically mean that revenge will adjust down?
ReplyDeleteThis season is the best so far, and I'm glad so much watch Once Upon A Time, so there should be no fear for a 5th season. Am I right?
ReplyDeleteit either means it will stay the same or adjust down
ReplyDeleteme too
ReplyDeleteSo far each episode ratings have been higher this year than the ratings of its corresponding episode last year, so yeah it'll get renewed for sure.
ReplyDeleteEven season 6 looks like a sure thing
ReplyDeleteOkay i just wanted to ask him again since he works for spoiler tv. Did you See TVBTN?
ReplyDeleteya
ReplyDeleteSo glad FOX moved B99 out of that death night that is Tuesday. Hands down the best comedy on network TV. Ya 1.6 isn't that great but with the state FOX is in for sitcoms it is good enough..
ReplyDeleteHalf hours do not affect final adjustments. But I do realize over the years that shows that tend to adjust up are those that grew over their lead-in, and shows that adjust down are those that lost from their lead-in. Back when Scandal was in the first season, it almost always adjusted down, because it lost so much of the Grey's lead-in. But mid-way through season 2, it grew in ratings and as ratings approach closer to Grey's, it gets adjusted down less and less. And finally when it grew out of Grey's it only adjusts down occasionally. That means Revenge and Resurrection are prone to being adjusted down and OUAT prone to being adjusted down.
ReplyDeleteIt really is a great show.
ReplyDeleteReally? wow, this is great to read, hope will come true... I only have a little fear about Carlyle. I've read once, that he said in an interview (can't remember where I've read it, perhaps ET) that 5 season are probably enough for him. Could not imagine a season without him; some episodes, of corse I've no problems. But he will always be my twinsisters and mine favorite caracter, then comes Regina. And I'm honest, I love all caracters in Once Upon A Time. We started very late to see, but completly felt in love.
ReplyDeleteJason Segel said the same thing about HIMYM during season 8 and he was still a regular during season 9. Don't take those comments too seriously, unless there are actual reports of stars dropping out of series most of the time it is figured out
ReplyDeletethank you for your lovely help
ReplyDeleteI know it wasn't that fair to New Girl and The Mindy Project (we all know whichever comedy is sandwiched between Simpsons and Family Guy will survive), but I'm glad they chose B99 to be the one to receive the preferential treatment, because I think it's the best of the 3.
ReplyDeleteYeah, New Girl used to be great, but season 3 was dreadful! - probably why so many viewers tuned out.
ReplyDeleteB99 has a lot of potential and has been incredibly good so far, so I hope it gets a good run
It can become an ABC staple to be honest. And if ABC wants it to continue and the writers still have ideas, they can continue for a quite a while. And the best part is because it is an ensemble cast where in my opinion no one is so central, the show can continue even if one or two of the main cast members leave. It's not like Orphan Black where without Tatiana Maslany the show cannot survive, or The Good Wife without Julianna Margulies, or Scandal without Kerry Washington or Tony Goldwyn.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if it was a mistake or not, but it was Manning vs Brady and that always gets high viewership.
ReplyDeleteBrooklyn-99's ratings are all over the place this season.
ReplyDeleteSeason 4 has been way better than last season's mess. I don't really blame people for leaving, it was justified.
ReplyDeleteyes, I know you've right, but for my/our opinion (sister and I), is always not "to understand", why a cast which is working so good, make/have changings. Of corse, new cast members are always welcome and function, but main characters we love/accompany over many seasons, (every serie, whatever we watch) have to die/go etc.. not really glad about. Only our opinion, nobody has to agree with it, this we know.
ReplyDeleteSuperbowl?
ReplyDeleteNow those ratings are just plain ugly for Mulaney. I wonder if FOX will pull it or air all 13 episodes.
ReplyDeleteI honestly cannot understand why they are still airing it. Family Guy repeats can do almost double its rating, what's the rationale?
ReplyDeleteCarlyle can be recast with another ugly Rumple. The great thing about a 'magic' show is that someone can cast a spell and explain a recast. He doesn't do anything for me anyway. I usually FF his scenes unless a character I really like is in them. It's pretty one note - I have power, I'm good now, let's sign a contract, blah, blah, blah.
ReplyDeleteI have to disagree. The fans went crazy when they recast Robin Hood,i don't believe they would pull something like that with a main character, especially someone like Carlyle. He is Rumple/Gold!
ReplyDeleteNot a mistake. Manning vs brady is always big ratings
ReplyDeleteThe superbowl is in february
ReplyDeleteThe show should be cancelled immediately.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I think if Carlyle or Parilla left the show, fans would leave especially if they were recast.I agree Carlyle is Rumple
ReplyDeleteIdk about that -Emma,Snow,Charimg,Reigna,Rumple are all very central and Emma's basically the star/lead.
ReplyDeleteRevenge was Awesome! And next week is a sort of reunion!!!!
ReplyDeleteOf course OUAT has lot of fans in Germany (like me too). The show based on german fairytales. Snow, Charming, Rumple, Regina, Ruby -> all Germans.
ReplyDeleteJennifer Morrison is the star of OUAT. Without Emma, the show make no sense.
ReplyDeleteRevenge will adjust down. Resurrection went From 9-10.01pm damn it!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteScandal can't go beyond 6 seasons to me.
ReplyDeleteI really hope ABC will give Resurrection a third and final season. :/
ReplyDeleteI agree. Didn't know what happen to New Girl. New Girl was a bit off-beat and quirky during its first 2 seasons that some entertainment websites even called it the new "Friends". I guess the writers ran out of ideas for the concept, and in fact that happens for many shows these days. I think many writers have a concept and at most enough ideas for 22 episodes, and after the first season when the show actually gets renewed (which is about 30% or less, so I can't fault the producers for only thinking of a one-season concept), people start scrambling to find stuff to produce for the upcoming seasons.
ReplyDeleteI'm honest: if Carlyle leave, for me is OUAT "history" and I'll rewatch all seasons on DVD with him. I like all main caracters, but he is something special as Rumplestilskin/Mr.Gold. No one can replace him/his acting!
ReplyDeleteYou think I don't know that? My comment was directed to how Ben had "never seen a rating that high before."
ReplyDelete
