This table shows the early overnight ratings. About the Daily Ratings

Each day (except Sunday) during the main TV Season we post the TV Ratings for the previous nights primetime shows for the major broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, CW, FOX, NBC). Cable Network ratings will be added to the Ratings Database.

The first item that gets posted (normally around 2pm GMT) is the early overnight analysis based on the early household numbers (these are not the same as the Total Viewers and 18-49 Demo numbers that are posted later).

Next, if available, we will post the Top 25 Market 18-49 Ratings to give you a rough idea of the ratings to following.

Later on (normally between 4pm-5pm GMT) we post the official early overnight Total Viewers and 18-49 Demo numbers in the table above (We also where possible now post the 18-34 and 25-54 Demo Numbers).

Finally, later in the evening (10pm-11pm GMT) or the following day, the final adjusted ratings numbers are released, these are then posted in the Ratings Database. The Final Adjusted numbers are what we use for all our Renew/Cancellation Tables, Full Season Tables, Ratings Scorecards etc (see below). Friday's Final Adjusted Ratings are normally available on the following Monday.

  1. And Constantine becomes even more dead.

    ReplyDelete
  2. WB should try Constantine on CW.

    ReplyDelete
  3. I only watched the pilot, but I'd think it's far too dark for The CW.

    ReplyDelete
  4. It was a shame they showed the 2nd episode they filmed after the stellar episode from last week, sort of slowed the positive momentum.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Well, The CW airs The 100, so I think they could handle it

    ReplyDelete
  6. Grimm was amazing last night, Should be up. Wish it go back to 1.5~1.6.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Constantine got exactly what i expected.I'm pretty sure they would not get that 2nd season.Too bad coz they have improved considerably!

    ReplyDelete
  8. Let's not forget that Constantine does not have "eyecandy" enough to be on the CW. lol

    ReplyDelete
  9. they're moving away from that with hiring older actors these days. Are Henry Ian Cusik, Daniel Gillies, Joseph Morgan or Isaiah Washington eyecandy?

    ReplyDelete
  10. wouldn't bet on it yet, I'm not sure where NBC sees its future but there's a pretty solid chance that they'll use a cheaper second season as cannon fodder for lousy days.

If you premiere something in the friday slot though you can't expect much

    ReplyDelete
  11. I wish it would go up as well, however, it was the day after Thanksgiving with Black Friday shopping, so I don't know how to view these ratings. I mean 1.2 in 18-49 isn't bad and it is the second most watched program in that demographic so I'm not too concerned. We need to wait for the fast nationals, not just the top 25 to really judge.

    ReplyDelete
  12. well hello matt ryan ?

    ReplyDelete
  13. i hope fans were not put off by the one off episode. nxt ep sound promising and by the way do u guys know when hannibal returns ???

    ReplyDelete
  14. "Daniel Gillies, Joseph Morgan" I have to disagree on those two, but I get what you say. Nevertheless, The 100 still has a lot a young and beautiful actors. I mean, look at Eliza Taylor, Bob Morley and

    Marie Avgeropoulos.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I can agree on Elize Taylor and Marie Avgeropoulos but Morely?
as a dude it's hard for me to judge but he's not the kind of guy I thought gals would be into

    ReplyDelete
  16. No date set yet. All dates when know will appear in the Episode Database.

    http://stvplus.com/show/214/Hannibal#episodes

    ReplyDelete
  17. I give you that. And Angelica Celaya, but... who else? Where's the abundance of gorgeous man and woman?

    ReplyDelete
  18. Oh believe me, not just gals. Not only Bob Morley. There's Thomas too. So. Eyecandy is not exactly a problem on The 100. Although the story is clearly more adult than other shows.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I hope that the show can bounce back up in the ratings next week like they did last week! #SaveConstantine

    ReplyDelete
  20. Crossbones premiered at a worse time (Friday near summer) and was still cancelled.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Shame that Constantine is below 1.0 again. I know it doesn't have much of a shot but the show is actually getting better.

Is there any chance this could move to Syfy? I know people suggest The CW, I'm for anything that gives this show a chance but this would fit in Syfy too.

    The Spectre say HI! http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/OTYwWDkzOA==/z/HsMAAOxyUylTS5ja/$_35.JPG

    ReplyDelete
  23. No way it goes to Syfy. They're focusing on their own rebranding and putting emphasis on the shows they've developed in-house (Expanse, Killjoys, etc.), so acquiring something that couldn't find an audience on another channel isn't on the horizon for them.

    ReplyDelete
  24. At least Constantine is consistant. It's been getting .9's for awhile now.

    ReplyDelete
  25. BYE BYE CONSTANTİNE

    ReplyDelete
  26. Nooo Constantine :(

    ReplyDelete
  27. Your picture makes me wonder if Supernatural has been the only well-received show when it comes to the ratings that even gained more fans on Friday nights.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Constantine hasn't been as dark as Supernatural has been. And I hear The 100 can be pretty dark as well.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Agree and the magic/supernatural element should be brought into the Arrow/Flash universe anyways. Something grounded like Arrow, something that deals with superpowers on a sci-fi level like The Flash and something that deals with magic and supernatural entities like Constantine. You don't even need to bring in aliens when you are using the other fundamental elements of the DC Universe.

    ReplyDelete
  30. "Eye candy"? You sure about that?

    Angélica Celaya.

And people probably think Matt Ryan is attractive too.

    ReplyDelete
  31. You just know he'd be a recurring character if Constantine was on The CW.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Supernatural was definitely a special case. Its ratings didn't so much get better as the rest of the network fell apart, which made SPN look a whole lot better to the network as a whole. Supernatural's ratings did rise when it was put back into the regular TV week. Still many shows completely collapse when sent to Fridays. Supernatural had a core set of fans that would follow it anywhere and watch it live. That's rare and is why Supernatural is still on today.

Constantine doesn't have the luxury of a network completely collapsing inward on itself like the CW did. I mean NBC is not doing well, but Constantine does not look good compared to the rest of the network. In fact, it is the worst rated drama on it. NBC is better off trying with a new show than using this as schedule spackle. If nothing else, they could put a cheaper show here in the future to hold space until Hannibal comes back. Personally I think they need to stop trying to find a show that fits with Grimm and look for something that makes people want to stay home on a Friday night.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Not too dark but perhaps comic overload. They run the risk of having the exact same problem that they had under Ostroff but only in a different direction. Too many comics shows and they will be in real trouble when the bottom drops out.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Doing some research on my own, I guess you were right; SPN didn't really "gain" more viewership on Friday nights, it was more as what you said…The CW was collapsing and SPN ended up being the best thing for the network on Friday nights. Weird; you really don't see like something like that for any show on any network.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Is that a risk though, if the products are good enough? Forget about iZombie at the moment which seems like will flop after the premiere, but it would be a smart decision to actually make a network focus on comic book-related TV shows. The CW could be just that and would actually do wonders for Warner Brothers/DC Comics.

    ReplyDelete
  36. As I said in the comments below "not enough". Didn't say it didn't have.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Well, he's new to the show and that picture is not fair *sigh*

    ReplyDelete
  38. I agree. The thing I don't like about Arrow, although it has the motto to be a "grounded" show, is that even though in the comics we have magic and stuff, the heroes deals with that without having magic, so why they can't/won't do that, you know?

    ReplyDelete
  39. I think any network being too focused on one type of show is a risk. Concentrating solely on teen girls is what got the CW in trouble in the first place. When they moved on, the network was left with a reputation it still has trouble fighting today. I'm not saying they need to quota what they have. Obviously the supernatural element is their bread and butter, but there are all different kinds of supernatural shows and so far they are pretty balanced. Supernatural is different from Arrow. The Vampire Diaries is different from Flash. One could argue that Arrow and Flash are different based on tone and leads, but it gets tricky. Adding 2-3 more comic book based shows could topple the whole thing, especially when the CW doesn't have a lot of space available as it is. I like that the CW has been willing to take risks in their programming and hope that continues. I would like to see them try a comedy block. If they are bound to stick with the supernatural, then maybe it's time to try something more fantasy based in the next go around.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Yep. Supernatural had really good timing along with a devoted core fan base of Nielsen viewers. I think it is more accurate to say that Supernatural didn't lose as many viewers as a typical show does when moving to Friday nights. That and the CW's collapse tend to make people remember it doing better on Fridays than is factually true.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Hope Constantine can bounce back next week, it WAS Black Friday after all... as long as it can keep bouncing back to a 1.0 I have hope there could be a second season. God. It's just so freakin' good. I really hope after the start of the year the remainder of the episodes all perform solidly. I don't get how the very stale Grimm is still doing so well. Whatevs.

    ReplyDelete
  42. But in 2014, that genre of comic book-based shows doesn't have to reply on one TYPE of show anymore. You can go from being totally serious with zero humor to plan goofy if it fits a character and universe. What The CW could become is a DC-only network that caters to all the projects WB/DC wants to work on. Geoff Johns himself spoke about relying on the 'Multiverse' when doing different TV shows and films, and The CW could be an outlet in doing so without having to rely on making every show feel the same. You want something serious? Go with Arrow and lessen the overdramatic tension between the characters. You want something that relies on a more teen drama? That Titans project would be perfect that's a mixture of Teen Titans and Young Justice. And so on and so forth.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I think it's fine if each series has its own tone or feel as long as we get a series in the same universe that deals with other elements. With adding The Flash into the picture, it makes me appreciate Arrow even more because while it's the "grounded" show of the universe, it is part of a universe that does have powers in it and bringing in a show that centers around magic and the like will only enrich the universe.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Neither does Supernatural except for Jensen and Jared. Most of the recurring cast are just great actors and can't really be called "eye candy". I don't mark Mark is even looking for shows with a lot of "eye candy" anymore.

    ReplyDelete
  45. If the CW becomes an all-comic all the time, the network it is dead. Simple as that. Like everything else, interests wane. Comic book furor ebbs and flows just like everything else. All networks need to diversify. There's a reason why the SyFy network was hanging on by the iron fingertips of wrestling not too long ago. Just because the online TV crowd is more likely to follow comics and sci fi in general does not meant there will be the numbers to sustain an influx of these. For better or worse, many non-comic book fans lump all of those stories together. I myself do. It doesn't matter that Arrow and Flash are two totally different tones. They are both in the superhero genre for me. There was a time when people were thoroughly sick of comic book movies and there seemed to be a general ennui about them in people's attitudes. The same thing would happen if the CW went there. They need to diversify so they are not stuck in the exact same situation that almost killed them earlier.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Interests wane when something is dying down. This is the golden age of bringing comic books to life in either film or TV and when it comes to TV, one can thank Arrow because of that and it would be something that would greatly pushed WB/DC as a whole into a whole new and different direction from Marvel Studios. Also, how would it even hurt The CW? They only run shows for two hours five days a week. Bringing in a network that has ten comic book-based shows, all run by WB/DC would be such a game changer in this golden age of comic book entertainment.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I could not disagree more. The #1 way to kill interest in anything is to flood the market with it. By becoming an only comic book network, they would kill demand faster than it is going to peter out currently. Any business that wants to stand the test of time cannot be based on fads because while they burn bright for awhile, they inevitably burn out. Just because a handful of TV viewers want comics shows does not mean that it would make any business sense at all to saturate the market with them. We already have SHIELD, Arrow, Flash, Constantine, Agent Carter, Gotham, The Walking Dead, The Strain, and iZombie. There also seems to be a lot of others being considered - 5 coming to Netflix, another coming to AMC plus a spin-off of TWD, 1 on Cinemax, 4 on SyFy, plus 8 others being considered. That is well beyond market saturation and I foresee many failing miserably. It's another time when TV tries to jump on the trend bandwagon only to find that it's already left the station and that just leaves a lot of roadkill in its wake. If they truly want to see a golden age of comics, they need to spread it out more or this golden age will be just a blip on the map.

    ReplyDelete
  48. And I wholeheartedly disagree with you on this topic. I think The CW could easily become something special if WB/DC put all of their "talent" into this network and make it something tied to WB and their DC properties.

And what I am speaking of is those other projects you speak of, coming from WB/DC, to show up on The CW.
