This table shows the early overnight ratings. These ratings are normally adjusted later in the day when all the ratings have been consolidated to take into account any local preemptions and/or overruns. You can find all the final adjusted numbers in our Ratings Database. (See the About section below for details about ratings)
NOTICE As you can see we are trying out a new table format. This will allow us to enter in the Top 25 Markets (if we get them), as well as additional Demo Numbers for those who are interested in them. Let us know what you think of the new table and if you have any suggestions/comments. If this format proves popular we may look to use it for future ratings posts. These new tables should also work better on mobile devices so that you can scroll the table if it does not fit on your device.
The analysis below is based on the early household numbers and are NOT the same as the numbers that will be posted in the above table later. (See the About section below)

“Marry Me” (NBC), “New Girl” (Fox), “About a Boy” (NBC), “The Mindy Project” (Fox)

Ratings Breakdown:
ABC led this final Tuesday of the November 2015 sweeps thanks to the two-hour “Dancing With the Stars” fall season-ender, which averaged a 10.4 rating/17 share in the household overnights from 9-11 p.m. Comparably, this was nine percent above the 9.5/16 for the year-ago fall season-finale, and that translated into 14.75 million viewers and a 2.4 rating/7 share among adults 18-49, based on the Live + Same Day data. Congratulations, Alfonso Ribeiro!
Earlier in the evening on ABC was one-hour “Dancing With the Stars” special, “Road to the Finals”, at a second-place 7.8/12 from 8-9 p.m., which lifted the time period to a season-high. Results for the evening among adults 18-49 (and other key young adult demos) could be neck-and-neck between ABC and NBC. Stay tuned.
Second overall for the night in the overnights was normally dominant CBS with its combination of “NCIS” (#1: 9.8/16), spin-off “NCIS: New Orleans” (#2: 8.5/13), which fits like a glove as expected, and “Person of Interest” (#2: 5.9/10), which held only 70 percent of the 9:30 p.m. portion of “NCIS: New Orleans” (8.4/13).
Over at NBC, “The Voice” dipped by 13 percent from one week earlier with a still potent 6.2/10 (#3) from 8-9 p.m. But 9-10 p.m. Peacock net sitcoms “Marry Me” (#3: 2.5/ 4) and “About a Boy” (#3: 2.2/ 3) both sunk to series lows opposite the increased competition from ABC. “Chicago Fire” perked up to a 3.9/ 7 (#3) from 10-11 p.m., which was a hefty 77 percent above lead-in “About a Boy.” But that was also below average against “Dancing With the Stars.”
Elsewhere, “The Flash” on The CW remains the real deal at a 2.6/ 4 from 8-9 p.m., which was 53 percent above the 1.7/ 3 in the overnights for “The Originals” on the year-ago evening. And it led into a typical 1.5/2 for “Supernatural” at 9 p.m. In other words, The CW was the least impacted opposite “Dancing With the Stars.”
On Fox, demo friendly “MasterChef Junior” dipped by 10 percent week-to-week in the overnights, with a 2.9/ 4 at 8 p.m. And that led into lackluster fourth-place results for 9-10 p.m. sitcoms “New Girl” (2.1/ 3) and “The Mindy Project” (1.7/ 3), which is likely to return next season because more episodes are needed for off-network. Comedies, unfortunately, are just not resonating on any network on Tuesday once again this season.

Really hoping for POI to jump up this week.
ReplyDeleteThe show is on a terrific roll. Hope more people watch just so that they can experience the awesomeness of the story lines.
ReplyDeleteIt got 1.6 last week up from 1.3
ReplyDeleteNCIS: -1.2 from last week's HH rating
ReplyDeleteNCIS NO: -1.5
POI: -0.2
Chicago Fire: -0.9
I'm hoping POI does not go down in the demo and gets a demo win for the first time over Chicago Fire this season.
Poor programming decision by NBC. Two awful shows in front of Chicago Fire are really hurting it. Guess DWTS hurt it this week as well. CF will probably continue its total dominance over POI next week assuming normal scheduling.
ReplyDeleteThe entire CBS line-up is looking at season lows based on HH ratings. As always we will wait for the demo but it's looking ugly already.
ReplyDeletePOI got a 5.7 two weeks ago.
ReplyDeleteHoping POI doesn't drop.
ReplyDeleteWhat is Marry Me and AAB still doing in the 9:00 hour? They should've been moved to 8:00 and The Voice at 9:00 to help Chicago Fire since the comedies clearly don't want help.
ReplyDeleteI'd argue that CF doesn't need any help from the Voice, tbh.
ReplyDeleteAll right, but the NCIS combo is down significantly to season lows as far as I know.
ReplyDeleteTop 25 Market Numbers are now in the table
ReplyDeleteThose are some *huge* top 25 markets numbers for ABC.
ReplyDeleteWay to go FLASH!!!
ReplyDeleteI hope The Flash gets another 1.4
ReplyDeleteTOP 25 - 1.4 for POI is higher than last week. Let's hope it translates into an uptick!
ReplyDeleteOmg, SPN is very low in top 25 :(
ReplyDeleteIf I were ABC, I would consider bringing DWTS results show back.
ReplyDeleteWooow DWTS. Which shows were promoted during DWTS?
ReplyDeleteWhy use The Voice lead-in on a show that doesn't need it?
ReplyDeleteI loved last night's Supernatural!! Wonder why so low?
ReplyDeleteWell done POI!
ReplyDeleteThings are not looking too bleak for CBS after all.
ReplyDeleteDang Supernatural . What happened
ReplyDeleteGo Flash! Hope it holds that 1.5! It will be super fun guessing the ratings for the crossover and if some of The Flash only viewership will make the jump for Arrow's part of it.
ReplyDeleteArrow might be looking into it's best rating so far... Even better that the 1.3 it premiered on 2012.
hope the crossover helps Arrow. While the ratings are not bad for the CW, they make me way to nervous regarding the production costs.
ReplyDeleteArrow is in zero danger this season :)
ReplyDeleteDWTS Recap: 1.9
ReplyDeleteDWTS: 2.8
DWTS: 3.1
The Voice: 2.3
ReplyDeleteMarry Me: 1.3
AAB: 1.0
CF: 1.6
NCIS: 2.4
ReplyDeleteNCISO: 2.3
POI: 1.7
POI up from last week to 1.7. Get in.
ReplyDeleteOk thx :)
ReplyDeleteHalf hours for the DWTS finale:
ReplyDelete2.7/2.9/3.0/3.1
POI beats Chicago Fire for the first time this season! No SOA must have helped.
ReplyDeleteABC had a terrific night.
ReplyDelete1.4 for The Flash. Good stuff.
ReplyDeleteCW is pretty good in the 25-54 demo.
ReplyDelete@Dark UFO are you deleting my comment?
ReplyDeleteYAY! Guess they are indeed ''Being watched'' - sorry, been saving that for when the show rose above those scary lows. S5 is a sure thing either way
ReplyDeleteAnother great Tuesday for The CW. It still surprises me for some reason. A good surprise.
ReplyDeleteAs far as I know, I only saw The Bachelor, OUAT and the ABC comedies.
ReplyDelete:( Chicago Fire
ReplyDeleteOf course they did. DWTS had its finale and went up against low rated competition.
ReplyDeleteDamn, bad night for NBC. Chicago Fire hitting season low. And WTF is NBC going to do with 16 more episode of About A Boy?
ReplyDeleteThat's huge.
ReplyDeletePOI does VERY well in the 25-54 demo, is that demo more important than the 18-49?
ReplyDeleteNo, why?
ReplyDeleteNo.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to the person of interest Fans and wow DWTS! I hope they did not only promote Agents i of shield and the bachelor during DWTS
ReplyDeleteNo, 18-49 and 18-34 are the most important ones. POI's ratings right now are ok. Not outstanding, but ok
ReplyDeleteNo. But it's not doing badly in the 18-49 (though I'd love it to achieve those 25-54 numbers in the 18-49)
ReplyDeleteI posted some questions, just curious what people would say. Maybe it was too long? I go into my feed and it comes up as pending
ReplyDeleteMe too. People claim it is a typical CBS cop show which it clearly isn't!
ReplyDeleteSeeing Marry Me so low is always depressing for me, but I already made peace with its fate, I'm just glad it has 18 episodes in total instead of just 13.
ReplyDeleteOuch for The Voice! Low 2s already? I don't know if it can recover momentum, but seeing how well DWTS is doing makes me think there's a chance, but even then NBC must be crushed, it even got a series low on 18-34 (1.4)
It looks like NBC's house of cards is starting to crumble.
ReplyDeleteABC- having a great year
ReplyDeletethe CW- having a very good year
FOX- not such a bright year
CBS- having a bad year
NBC- terrible year
Maybe it was held in disqus moderation as it might have flagged it as spam.
ReplyDeleteHmmm ok :/ well my other show was promoted during the AMAs that is good enough!
ReplyDeleteBut NBC won sweeps! Haha, it's not even funny how they spin things with football
ReplyDeleteswap FOX and NBC. NBC is not that bad aside from its Tuesdays comedies and Thursdays. As for FOX, they are relying only on Gordon Ramsey and Gotham
ReplyDeleteWow dwts showing a pulse
ReplyDeleteAnything I can do to get it reposted do you know?
ReplyDeleteSupernatural was great yesterday .... I'm loving this season, I hope Supernatural UP at the end. Flash this great too.😍😍😍
ReplyDeleteI think the spring edition will do even better than the fall season, if this numbers are any indicator
ReplyDeleteMight have used a word that disqus has blacklisted.
ReplyDeleteHow is NBC having a terrible year of they're still the #1 network of the season?
ReplyDeleteActually, I see them now (2 comments).
ReplyDeleteBut still everything except for the blacklist, football and the voice are actually doing very well
ReplyDeleteFootball waves from the top of the world.
ReplyDeleteCuz that's football boosting
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'll go delete one
ReplyDeleteKind of disappointed and relived by SPN ratings. Was hoping for 1.0 ( it was a decent episode and no AoS), but after seeing Top 25 was afraid of season low. Guess its turned out to be OK. Now it needs to hold it in the finals. Still good for 10yo show.
ReplyDeleteI did not include football
ReplyDeleteSo more FoTB promos, even though they haven't announced a premiere date yet?
ReplyDeleteIdk, Arrow is a show that also makes a lot of money from diferent things: comics, toys, dvds, etc. Is not ratings dependant.
ReplyDeleteNot to mention the up in demand for the New 52's Green Arrow since it was announced Felicity would jump in: sales triplicated.
The show is fine with the ratings it has. Also, one more Season and goes into syndication, wich means a new income of money.
Also, the show has a solid and rabid fanbase. theCW is looking into adding a third show into the shared universe, actually. Arrow is here to stay for a bunch more years.
Can we have half hours, please?
ReplyDeleteGreat for The Flash! I wonder how high it and Arrow will go next week for the big crossover!
ReplyDeleteDarn, I was hoping Supernatural stayed at a 1.0
ReplyDeleteNBC has The Voice, The Blacklist, Chicago Fire, football and SVU doing well for them. And they're also gonna have the Super Bowl and the Golden Globes this year. Meanwhile FOX has The Simpsons, Family Guy and Gotham.

And some animated comedies from the 1990s.
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping both shows get a boost next week.
ReplyDeleteMe too! 😶
ReplyDeleteWhen is the superbowl
ReplyDeleteThe first of February, I think.
ReplyDeleteI get strange satisfaction from seeing the Voice drop. Sure it's fun but in the long run no one remembers the winners and no one makes it big. Would rather have scripted quality tv get higher ratings.
ReplyDeleteFOX is having by far the worst year of any network, it's almost unimaginable how horrible they are doing. NBC isn't doing particularly well after the huge success last year but they aren't in terrible shape either. I would swap FOX and NBC.
ReplyDeleteAlmost 17 million in that last half hour for DWTS not too shabby
ReplyDeleteIts a little bit down this season, but still very decent. Everything within 0.8-1.0 still good. Especially for 10 yo veteran.
ReplyDeleteI'd say NBC only really has The Voice and football and, to a lesser extent, The Blacklist.
ReplyDeleteThe other shows aren't really doing all that much for them.
If the cast is any better than this season and doesn't have a predictable winner, then maybe.
ReplyDeleteThx :) i hope revenge does not air then!
ReplyDeleteWhat is the cost of an ad during POI?
ReplyDeleteABC would have to be out of its mind to air an original against the super bowl.
ReplyDeleteIt won't, rest assured.
If NBC didn't have The Voice, there would just be another bland CBS-lite procedural or humorless single cam there, so we're not missing out on much. And this is someone who quit watching The Voice in season 2.
ReplyDeleteWhen their lead-in is a 1.1, I don't know what you could expect. At least About a Boy was mid/upper-1's this spring.
ReplyDeleteI think the fact that no one has to remember what happens on The Voice is why it gets ratings. The general viewing audience seems to not want to actually use their brains when watching TV.
ReplyDeleteThat's about typical for the season, and their range, although last season with less competition they did a little better at this point.
ReplyDeleteSo was I, especially with AoS off, but DWTS did better than I'd expected. The episode was decent but a little choppy and meandering, so I wondered if that was the problem, but there didn't seem to be that big of a half-hour drop.
ReplyDeleteA little over $145,000. It's their most expensive 10 pm
ReplyDeleteWe came, we saw, we won.
ReplyDeleteApprox. 132 grand.
ReplyDeleteYay The Flash and PoI :) Next week it's crossover time. I hope there is a boost in the ratings. We need more crossover episodes in the future.
ReplyDeleteDoes he always to say "the typical…" for Supernatural? Lol.
ReplyDeleteWhats with Chicago Fire one week 2.2 other 2 and now its 1.6 ?
ReplyDeleteYayy for POI, hope it is consistent throughout the season
Yeah for Person of Interest.
ReplyDeleteArrow, Flash, Supernatural are safe
ReplyDeletenot sure about TVD since there're recent rumors that make me question wether the show will be around another year or will be retooled alltogether
100, Originals, BatB, HoD, JtV and Reign are currently fighting each other over their survival
Chicago Fire low but still safe I think...
ReplyDelete100% chance of renewal
ReplyDelete:)
ReplyDeleteI have been meaning to ask. Do you watch The Flash? Is watching the Flash part of the crossover important for understanding what's going on in the Arrow part? I do not watch The Flash but I also don't want to miss some important part of the story line.
ReplyDeleteYou are an embarrassment to Elias. Use Latin, you filthy casual. ;) :)
ReplyDeleteI believe you can watch one and not the other, but it'll be better if you watch both. Plus there's a big thing for Oliver on The Flash. So I'd watch it.
ReplyDeleteGood, good.
ReplyDeleteThe Flash is holding steady at 1.4, let's hope it stays that way.
ReplyDeletevery scared for The 100. Its Luke so manx shows I loved that has only two seasons (Dark Angel, Revolution).....
ReplyDeleteFor the last few seasons, several fans I know 'virtually' are watching SPN 'delayed' and other shows 'live', especially singing/dancing ones (The Voice/DWTS) - I expect the same might be true of the Nielsen audience and last night was the DWTS finale from 9-11. Even CF - which I try to watch live - seem to be adversely affected.
ReplyDeleteWell Revolution would've ended this season if it wasn't last year because of that Stephen Collins scandal
ReplyDeleteFirst and foremost I would recommend you to watch The Flash. Its a great show. From what I heard you can watch Arrow part of the crossover without watching The Flash. Team Arrow goes to Central City in pursuit of captain Boomerang. But they end up helping Team Flash on one of their case there. Then both teams come back to Starling in the Arrow part to take down Boomerang as he returns.
ReplyDeleteFrom the spoilers Flash part of the crossover is hilarious and a bit more entertaining than Arrow part. Even if they reveal anything I am sure there will be a small preview at the beginning of Arrow episode. I will let you know more once The Flash episode airs.
Seriously start watching The Flash. It is an adorable show with a lot of heart and way better than Arrow season 1. It's more comic booky than Arrow but not cartoonish.
Seriously? It's a spy/sci-fi action series that's decently serialized, well-written and well acted.
ReplyDeleteAs long as The 100 and Originals survive I'm okay.
ReplyDeleteIt's on its tenth season.
ReplyDeleteOh crap, just googled it.
ReplyDeletesame, I really couldn't care less about JtV, Reign, HoD or BatB.
ReplyDeleteAnd I haven't even caught up on the 100 since the pilot
yeah, also caught me by surprise.
ReplyDeleteI'd recommend it. After the first few episodes it actually has a pretty cool plot. With some good character work, decent acting, good action and surprisingly little romance for a CW show.
ReplyDeleteAlone for being so unique in terms of setting the 100 needs to be watched, I'll need to grab the s1 boxset first though.
ReplyDeleteI didn't hear so about the romance part, weren't there some ship polls about who Clarke should be with?
It is Thanksgiving traveling week and it shows :-(
ReplyDeleteYeah but honestly there's not much actual romantic focus in the show. She had a thing with Finn but that died after episode 4 and only came back in 13. And even then only for like five minutes. Plus the main character is one of the few really well done female CW characters.
ReplyDeleteI'll watch it anyway, I made it through TVD, I'll make it through the 100 as well :P
ReplyDeleteYou shouldn't have too much trouble. :)
ReplyDeleteOh no! Chicago Fire!!!
ReplyDeletesorry just a word, what does the Top 25 Market means in this chart??
ReplyDeleteactually what does top 25 market means??
ReplyDelete
