After last night, I can't stop thinking it's Bonnie (which means I'm wrong).
ReplyDeleteI picked Annalise, because it happens, it would be quite the shocker, but honestly, i have no idea.
ReplyDeleteI have no idea...after thinking and thinking and more thinking... since day one.. Still have no idea what so ever .. as to who it is..
ReplyDeleteLet's see: Wes, Connor and Laurel are together and they are unlikely to commit murder with the three of them. Frank has no clear motive, so I can't see it being him. Ditto Asher. That leaves Annalise, Bonnie, Michaela, Nate and Rebecca. Only Michaele doesn't have motive to kill Sam but she did have the murder weapon last we saw her. She could have killed him to save someone else (most likely Annalise) from getting killed. Annalise herself could have killed Sam in self defense, just as easily as she could have murdered him to get revenge on hurting her. Rebecca could have also been attacked by Sam and therefore killed him, but it's also possible she wanted revenge for Lila. Bonnie might have killed him to protect Annalise and get her job back. Same with Nate, although I doubt he would kill someone with the trophy. I think it's between Annalise, Michaela, Rebecca and Bonnie. It's really a toss-up but my ultimate guess goes to Michaela.

ReplyDeleteI think Annalise killed Sam, and Bonnie killed Lila (she cares for Annalise, clearly, and after Lila's visit to the house, Bonnie killed Lila to ensure that Annalise didn't get hurt by whatever Lila was going to tell her).

ReplyDeleteI think Rebecca did it in self defense, he probably caught her snooping grabbed her, being the pig he is, he certainly doesn't mind attacking women, and ran into the wrong girl, that's who I think it is Rebecca and, second runner up of all people Michala defending Annalise she was there demanding that coveted trophy and that mother-n-law had put her in an emotional tailspin!!!
ReplyDeleteAssuming there's a "twist" I have to eliminate Rebecca & Wes: they are the obvious choices. So, I'm betting it's either Annalise or Bonnie--and I'm leaning more towards Annalise. Having the series Star as the killer may be a first, and it's very likely that the murder was NOT premeditated--which means that there's a possible self-defense angle. Having Annalise as the killer would dig deeper into the existing characters (Bonnie would come back to help with Annalise's defense, maybe Nate too); as well as afford the opportunity for new characters to join the show, maybe Sam's first wife & numerous other Mistresses.

ReplyDeleteThe only one in the room were the Keating's five minus Asher. Rebecca was covered with blood so she was there at the moment of the murder. The trophy is the murder weaponq. Wes and Laurel were the one keeping a cool head. While Connor and Michaela were the one loosing it. We've also seen Rebecca wanting to protect Wes, and so accuse herself. And also Laurel called herself a murderer.
My guess would be that Rebecca run into Sam while trying to get the info on his phone. With Rebecca impudence it probably quickly degenerate into a fight. The Keating four showed up at the right moment.
But, why would Michaela come the Keating's house in the first place. To show the trophy to Keating ? I have no clue. But, She was the one with the trophy and the one loosing it the most. So it would be the obvious choice. Too obvious,
My guess is that she run into the other before entering Keating house. One of them saw the trophy and took it wondering why she had it. Between Laurel, Connor and Wes, Connor is the most trophy obssessed. So my bet his on him. But I can see Wes or Laurel take it back from him to shut them up. One of them hit Sam to save Rebecca. Cause, I don't see how Rebecca could have had the trophy. But Michaela got to the house before the other according to the promo... So she could be the killer.
Or Rebecca killed Sam in self-defense but it's too obvious and how would she ended up the trophy.
Or and it's likely, Michaela put the trophy down entenring in the house. And one of the other or Rebecca used it as a weapon.
My head hurts.
The thing that bothers me is that if one of them had hit Sam, Rebecca woudn't be the only one with blood on herself. I am probably too picky. Because I am sure it's one of the Keating five (minus Asher). I would put my money on Laurel or Connor.
As for Lila, With the size of the water tank, climb up the shelf and throw Lila into the water tank must have requiered a lot of strength. Sam would be stong enough. Otherwise I would think Bonny. Not sure she would be strong enough though.
I say Annalise, but I think Bonnie might have killed Lila. lol I'm probably completely off.

It's been approximately 9 episodes and I still cannot figure out Annalise... She is a mystery inside a mystery, just like that wig. So I'll go with Annalise....

ReplyDeleteI actually voted for Frank, simply because he's the least plausible suspect, with no motive at all, I guess...I'm sure it'll somehow end up being someone interfering in Sam's fight with one of the ladies/students or simply self-defense.
ReplyDeleteI was about to vote for Rebecca with all the redemption that she had...and the blood on her face. But then again, this kind of regression and simple 'Sam catches her in the act and she kills him in self-defense' seems to be waaay too obvious, exactly.
ReplyDeleteIt just occurred to me that Nate's angle may not be simply getting his job back and blaming Lila's murder on the most obvious of suspects (Sam), but actually acquiting himself while setting the Keating up. How about that? I mean there's not enough backstory to back my claims but I think it'd be pretty interesting to have Nate kill Lila.
ReplyDeleteAfter ready the comments above and recalling the episode. I am relinquishing my original choice, Annalise, and am going with Michaela. She just had a fight with her future MIL and probably has underlying resentment for her gay fiancé. MIL lit the match. She walks into the Keating home (still can't figure out why she went back there), finds Sam attacking Rebecca and releases all her pent up rage onto him. Another thing I can't figure out; they are classmates, but hardly friends and very competitive against one another. Why protect each other now? Why not through the guilty one under the bus? Hmm, maybe it is Annalise after all!

ReplyDeleteI don't think they'll go there. (I hope not) because otherwise they can do anything. Having Analise lying since the beginning, knowing about the affair and having her killed Lila. They could literally do anything. It would be just too much possibilities.

ReplyDeleteMy theory goes something like this-after annalise tells sam about the DA,sam is fuming inside.Rebecca sneaks inside the house somehow while annalise goes out for some time.Just as she is about to plug that pen drive thingy into sam's personal computer,sam enters the room.She tries to make some excuses but he knows better,he's not having it.They have a heated argument.Enter wes with connor and laurel.The same time michaela lands on annalise's doorstep too to show off that prize only to realise she's not home.Just as sam is about to physically hurt rebekkah out of anger,wes takes the trophy from michaela's hand and smacks sam hard across his head.Down goes sam,the blood splatter covers rebekkah's face and body.
Michala, had the trophy she stole it from Asher she went to his room, under the guise of wanting to hangout and faked waiting on the rest of the gang, once he left the room she grabbed it, the told Annalise she deserved it after winning the case, she was going at Annalise about it, sorry I was so lengthy just talking about this show I'm all, hope that helped:)

ReplyDeleteSam killls Sam, I'm on the fence about who killed Lila.
ReplyDeleteIt's not Annalise, she just convinced the DA's office to take DNA from everyone involved with Lila Stangard, including her teachers - no WAY Annalise would set herself up for that. She'd become suspect number one IF Sam is the father of Lila's baby. (probably for both murders) So it's not her.
Rebecca and Nate are working together to bring Sam in as Lila's killer -- both of them have a lot to lose if Sam is dead. He's worth more to the both of them if he's alive. So It's not them.
In the flashbacks no one is angry at any one specific person for bringing them into this mess, so I'm going to assume, that the study group never splits off --- and all arrive at the house together, after Sam is dead.
Bonnie - yes she has a motive.....but it's weak, and all her years studying law, she knows that Lila being pregnant is likely to be Sam's and killing him would only place the blame with Annalise, so it's unlikely to be her.
Connor is not involved in any way.
Frank is getting his butt handed to him by his girlfriend
Sam kills Sam, Rebecca walks in as it happens gets blood all over her. (remember she's going inside the house to get the phone records) Rebecca calls Wes, who brings the whole study group with him, including Micheala who just got the "immunity idol" back.
Micheala drops Lady Justice in the pool of blood, and there ya have it folks....Sam killed Sam,
Maybe, "I had to do it" referred to her getting the evidence.

ReplyDeleteAnnalise killed Sam while he was trying to kill Rebecca. Annalise left the house, seeking for help from Nate and asking him to arrest her. In the meanwhile, Rebecca alerted the guys that something terrible happened. The guys go there and want to protect Annalise and Rebecca by hiding the corpse.
ReplyDeleteAs for Lila's murderer, I'm still convinced that Lila had a lot of secrets and that the real killer could be the only one who really loved sleeping with younger students: Frank. There, I said it.
After they revealed that the scales fell off the trophy, I can't help but wonder about Asher. Maybe he wasn't Bonnie's alibi, she was his. There's still the comment he makes about his friends and the bonfire, though.
ReplyDeleteEither he found about the theft earlier than we thought he did, or Michaela called him by mistake instead of Wes (if she does have Asher's number). He arrives and sees Sam trying to attack Rebecca. Seeing the trophy on the floor, he acts quickly and bashes Sam over the head with enough force to shower Rebecca with blood (Matt McGorry used to be a bodybuilder, so it's perfectly plausible). Then, maybe scared, in shock or anything else, he runs away, dropping the trophy to the ground.
Then he comes back for the trophy, but not for the reason we assumed.
There are one or two holes, though:
- Does Michaela have Asher's phone number?
- Why wouldn't Rebecca mention him and instead lie and say it was her?
- Why would he fall for Michaela's text if he knew she was in the house? (In the case of him just realizing his trophy was stolen, it can be explained by saying he didn't know it was Michaela who stole it)
- Why would he react so genuinely to the photo the other four sent him?
I didn't look like that when they showed the FB of annalise calling bonnie.She looked at the floor where the rug was missing and assumed the worst and called bonnie out of fear to know what happened to sam.She was not in the buliding while sam was being murdered.There are two strong suspects-wes and michaela and another obvious one-rebekah.Annalise is not even on the suspect list according to me.

ReplyDeleteI think Sam shoots himself, in Rebecca's presence. She panics calls Wes (and company) Wes decides Rebecca being at the house when Sam killed himself will be too suspicious. Which is why when they do the coin flip (although it landed on leave the body) Wes lies and say that they have to get rid of the evidence.

ReplyDeleteBesides Wes there is no other we know she liked. So my guess is Frank, they probably have some sort of past connection. But so Frank is my choice for Lila's killer as well.

Dude, it's Annalise Keating. Would any of us be surprised if she killed Sam, and started playing the distraught grieving widow? Woman knows how to play it. My money is on her, but I also have my suspicions about Michaela.
ReplyDeleteYeah, there was an article somewhere clearing this up. When Rebecca said to Wes, "he attacked me, it was self defence, i had to do it or he'd kill me, blah blah blah..." She was explaining how easy it would be for her to go to the police and get away with it. She was t confessing, she was showing an example of how she could protect Wes. Apparently the writers didn't realise how confusing this scene would be. But that's what it was.

ReplyDeleteI think Sam killed Lila and I think he caught Rebecca getting evidence against him. My guess is that he tried to kill Rebecca too and then Michaela hit him with the trophy and accidentally killed him. The only problem I have with this theory is why would Connor agree to hide Sam's death? In such case, they should've called the police and called it self-defense instead of burning his body.

ReplyDeleteThe only people I'm fairly certain were not Sam's killer are Asher and Laurel. Asher doesn't have a clear motive to kill Sam that we've seen so far and Laurel seems pretty hesitant in the flashforward to get the body etc and she's had little interaction with Sam. If Laurel was the killer, she wouldn't hesitate as much to do something that would prevent the police from finding out she committed a crime. I'm leaning towards the killer being Rebecca, Wes, Bonnie, or Annalise herself.

ReplyDeleteIt seems that Sam was attacking Michaela and maybe also Rebecca, so anyone who came in could've struck Sam in the head to defend the girls, or maybe the killer did it in self-defense after having tried to stop Sam's attack.

ReplyDeletefor some reason I'm going to say conner just because the actor that portrays him has been doing a few print interviews plus conner was way to happy to lay RIGHT NEXT to the body plus his glee in wanting to hack the body up and his penchant for Christmas carols something is not right with our HOT guy's man (is that a thing is he a guy's man since he's gay and a bit of player much the same way Frank would be considered a lady's man?) plus no one would really suspect him and if Rebecca was anywhere close to Sam when he was beaten to death that could explain the blood splatter on her and he was hit in the back of the head on the other hand this show is going to do the most unexpected expected thing I don't think it's Annalise just because she would be to damn obvious and it has been presumed since the show was announced that she had something to do with it and what is with Laurel going back to Frank after she found out he's an unfaithful asshat unless he is sincere in his feelings for Laurel and the girlfriend is biter that he broke it off maybe via text or phone call and is trying to stir up trouble but he seemed really into her and she likes him enough to cheat on her BF so to be honest I have no clue but it is my theory
